- Only use this appliance for the purposes described in the instrucon manual. Only use the hob for preparing meals. The appliance is not suitable for heang rooms.
WARNING: the appliance and accessible parts get hot during
use. Do not touch hot parts. Keep children younger than 8 years of age out of the vicinity, unless they are supervised at all mes.
- The appliance can be used by children of 8 years and older and by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capacies or lack of experience or knowledge, provided they use the appliance under supervision or have been instructed about its safe use and understand the hazards it may involve.
- Children must not play with the appliance.
- The appliance must not be cleaned or maintained by children, unless this is done under supervision.
- Do not store objects that might be of interest to children in cabinets above or behind the appliance.
- The cooking zones get hot when used and remain hot for a period aer use. Do not allow small children in the vicinity during and immediately aer cooking.
- If the safety instrucons and warnings are not observed, the manufacturer cannot be held liable for any resulng damage.
- Never open the base unit of the appliance.
- Do not heat up closed cans on the hob. This creates overpressure, as a result of which the cans may explode. You could injure/burn yourself as a result.

- The appliance may not be used outdoors.

- Never clean the hob with a high pressure cleaner or steam cleaner.
- Do not use the appliance in a room with an ambient temperature below 5°C.
- If the appliance is used for the rst me, it will smell ‘new’. This is normal. The smell will disappear through venlaon.
WARNING: if the glass plate of the inducon hob is broken:
- immediately switch o all burners and electric heang elements and disconnect the power supply to the appliance. - do not touch the surface of the appliance. - do not use the appliance.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external mer or a separate remote control system.
- Do not place metal objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids on the surface of the hob. These can become hot.
- The ceramic plate is very strong, but not unbreakable. If something falls on it, such as a spice jar or a pointy object, this may result in a broken plate.
WARNING: if the surface is cracked, switch o the appliance
to avoid the risk of an electric shock.
- At higher posions, you should be aware of the very fast heang me. Always remain nearby aer adjusng a cooking zone to a higher posion.
- Defecve parts may only be replaced by original parts. Only for those parts will the manufacturer be able to guarantee that they meet the safety requirements.
- Damage as a result of incorrect connecon or incorrect use does not fall under the warranty. EN - 13• If the connecng cable is damaged, it may only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service organisaon or similarly qualied persons, in order to prevent hazardous situaons.
- The electrical connecon must meet naonal and local regulaons.
- The socket and plug must always be within reach.
- The appliance may not be connected to the mains supply via a power strip or extension cord. If this is not observed, the safety of the appliance cannot be guaranteed.
- The appliance must always be earthed.
- The worktop on which the inducon hob is placed must be at.
- The walls and the worktop around the appliance must be heat- resistant to at least 90°C. Even if the appliance itself does not get hot, the heat of a hot pan could discolour or deform the wall.
- WARNING: When cooking on the hob, the process must always be monitored. A short cooking or baking process should be monitored connuously.
3. Posion rotary buon
- Press the mer key to set the mer while the inducon hob is on. Numbers [45] are now ashing on the display. Use the posion knob to adjust the me. The maximum seng of the mer depends on the set posion. The indicaon on the display is limited and will show [01-60] per minute during the rst 60 minutes. When the mer is set to more than 60 minutes, the indicaon is changed to hours and 10 minute periods. Now, each me the me is increased, 10 minutes will be added. - 5 seconds aer seng the mer, the display shows the set posion and the indicator above the mer key lights up.
- When the mer is set, you can see the remaining me by pressing the mer key once more. If you want to adjust the set me, press the mer key and turn the posion knob to adjust the me.
- When the set me has passed, a beep sounds and the inducon hob switches o automacally. On the display [HH] ashes. CHILD LOCK The child lock prevents unintended changes to the sengs of the inducon hob. Seng a higher posion, for example, or other sengs will not be possible. It is only possible to switch the inducon hob o. Acvang the child lock while the inducon hob is operang.
- Press the touch control of the child lock for 2 seconds. The display shows [L+set posion], for instance [L9], and the indicator above the touch control of the child lock lights up. Now, only the on/o buon and the touch control of the child lock will be funconal. De-acvang the child lock

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Prior to cleaning, always remove the plug from the wall socket. Allow cooking zones to cool down before cleaning the inducon hob.
- When cleaning the surface of the inducon hob, do not use aggressive abrasive cleaning agents, spray cans or sharp objects that have not been developed for this purpose.
- Aer a period of me, the venlaon openings can become clogged due to the accumulaon of dust and other dirt. Clean the venlaon openings with a so, dry cloth. If necessary, use a so brush or a mini vacuum cleaner. Cauon: Do not rinse the inducon hob with water.
- Daily clean the surface of the inducon hob with a damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent, such as a washing-up liquid. Dry properly with paper towels or a dry tea towel.
- Some pans can leave a metal-like substance on the glass plate. Remove it immediately aer use, because it will get increasingly more dicult to remove. If necessary, use a damp cloth with a lile bit of toothpaste or some washing-up liquid.
- If the inducon hob is not used for a longer period of me, remove the plug from the socket and store the appliance in a room that is free from dust and vermin.
- Boiled over food can be removed by soaking it with a damp cloth and a lile bit of washing-up liquid, or you can use a glass scraper. Cauon: the glass scraper is sharp. Keep it away from children.
- Use a special cleaning agent for ceramic/inducon hobs in case of stubborn stains. Cauon: observe the instrucons on the packaging. Pans that have already been used other hobs, such as gas hobs, are no longer suitable for an inducon hob. Therefore, buy a new pan prior to rst use, if you do not have a suitable pan.
- Which requirements should a good pan meet? The pan should contain materials that are magnec. Cookware made of steel, enamelled steel, cast iron or stainless steel yields the best results.
- Use pans with a thick, at boom with the same diameter as a cooking zone. This reduces cooking me.
- The pans must have a at boom and a minimum diameter of 12 cm and maximum diameter of 20 cm. The cooking zone is a circle and the point where the lines cross is the centre of the circle.
- Aer rst use, white stains are somemes found in the pan. This is normal. Pour some vinegar in the pan and heat it to 60-80°C. Then remove the stains with a brush.
- Unsuitable materials for pans are: glass, ceramic, aluminium, copper and other non-magnec materials.
- When the pan is removed from the cooking zone, the inducon hob immediately stops heang.
- A pan should always be placed in the centre of a cooking zone.
- In the case of some pans, it is possible that you can hear dierent noises. This is caused by the shape of the pan and does not aect the funcon or safety of the inducon hob. ENERGY SAVING
- Place the pan on the cooking zone before it is switched on. If you switch on a cooking zone without a pan on top of it, the cooking zone will do nothing.
- Always use a lid on the pan to reduce cooking me.
- Reduce the power when the liquid is boiling.
- Do not use too much liquid or fat. Cooking or frying takes longer if you use too much.
- Select the correct power for the dierent cooking possibilies. No pan, a pan that is too small or a pan made of the wrong material has been placed. Place a suitable pan in the centre of the cooking zone. E1 Voltage too low. Switch o the inducon hob and allow the cooking zones to cool down. Switch the inducon hob on again and check that the venlaon is running smoothly.
