Two models of this appliance are offered. AD 3.000 AD 3.200 incl. suction pipes and floor nozzles. The appliance is intended for use as an ash and dry vacuum cleaner corresponding to the descriptions given in these operating in- structions and the safety notes. It is also possible to vacuum up water. This appliance has been designed for use in private households and is not intended for commercial use. – Protect the unit from rain. Do not store outside. The ash and dry vacuum is especially suit- ed for vacuuming: – Cold ashes from chimneys, wood/coal ovens, ashtrays or grills. – Coarse dirt of all types, such as sand or rubble. Note: The amount that can be vacuumed up can vary depending on the vacuuming material. If vacuuming water, the liquid volume of 2.5 l must not be exceeded. Use the ash/dry vacuum cleaner only with: – Original spare parts, accessories and special accessories.   • EN General notes Proper use Symbols on the machine 1 Continuously check hoses and vacu- um cleaner for heat while vacuuming ashes. Do not vacuum up soot or flammable substances. Do not use the floor nozzle to vacuum ashes. The vacuumed material must not ex- ceed a temperature of 40 °C. 2-3 In order to avoid the collection of ma- terials that may represent a fire risk (e.g. sawdust): Open, empty and clean the vacuum cleaner outside be- fore and after vacuuming ashes. 11EN– 6 The packaging material can be recy- cled. Please do not place the packag- ing into the ordinary refuse for disposal, but arrange for the proper recycling. Old appliances contain valuable materi- als that can be recycled. Please arrange for the proper recycling of old appliances. Please dispose your old appliances using ap- propriate collection systems. Flat fold filters are made from environment- friendly materials. They can therefore be disposed off through the normal household garbage provided you have not sucked in substances that are not permitted to be thrown into household garbage. We will re- pair possible faults on your unit free of charge within the warranty period, insofar as the faults are caused by material defects or defective workmanship. (See address on the reverse) – This appliance is not intended for use by persons with limited physical, senso- ric or mental capacities or lack of expe- rience and/or skills, unless such persons are accompanied and super- vised by a person in charge of their safety or if they received precise in- structions on the use of this appliance. – Children must only use this appliance if they are older than 8 and if they are su- pervised by a person responsible for their safety or if they are instructed on the use of the appliance by such person. – Keep packaging film away from children - risk of suffocation! – Switch the appliance off after every use and prior to every cleaning/mainte- nance procedure. – The appliance may not be used in areas where a risk of explosion is present. – The ash and dry vacuum cleaner must not be used for the separation of haz- ardous substances. – Only ashes from permissible fuels (e.g. natural wood, wooden briquets, wood pellets, lignite and hard coal) must be vacuumed. – Do not vacuum up soot. – Vacuuming material which appears to have cooled down from the outside may still be very hot inside. Hot ash particles may ignite again in the air flow. – Stir up the ashes with a metal object to check whether the ashes are still hot. – Please make sure that the oven is cold before you vacuum clean ovens. We do not recommend extinguishing the fire rapidly with water. The chimney ma- terial will not withstand the quick tem- perature changes and may crack. – Continuously check hoses and vacuum cleaner for heat while vacuuming ash- es. If you notice a temperature rise, switch off the vacuum cleaner immedi- ately. Pull out the mains plug. Remove the vacuuming material from the ash and dry vacuum cleaner. Allow device to cool down outside under supervision. – Completely empty the container before and after vacuuming ashes. – The use of dust collection bags is not permitted. 몇 Electrical connection The appliance may only be connected to al- ternating current. The voltage must corre- spond with the type plate on the appliance. Risk of electric shock Never touch the mains plug and the socket with wet hands. Do not pull the plug from the socket by pull- ing on the connecting cable. Check the power cord with mains plug for damage before every use. If the power cord is damaged, please arrange immediately for the exchange by an authorized custom- er service or a skilled electrician. To avoid accidents due to electrical faults we recommend the use of sockets with a line-side current-limiting circuit breaker (max. 30 mA nominal tripping current). Caution Certain materials may produce explosive vapours or mixtures when agitated by the suction air! Never vacuum up the following materials: – Explosive or combustible gases, liquids and dust particles (reactive dust particles) – Reactive metal dust particles (such as aluminium, magnesium, zinc) in combi- nation with highly alkaline or acidic de- tergents – Undiluted, strong acids and alkalies – Organic solvents (such as petrol, paint thinners, acetone, heating oil). – Hot, burning or glowing objects with temperatures greater than 40°C. Tem- peratures above 40°C represent a fire hazard. – Not suitable to separate health-hazard- ous dust (dust classes L, M, H). In addition, these substances may cause the appliance materials to corrode. Illustrations on fold-out page! When unpacking the product, make sure that no accessories are missing and that none of the package contents have been damaged. If you detect any transport damages please contact your dealer. (see description / illustration ) The steering rollers are located in the com- partment when the appliance is delivered. These must be attached prior to starting up the appliance. (see description / illustration ) Caution Filters and their frames must always be inserted during operation. (see description / illustration - ) Filter intake is located/sits in filter basket. Slide the suction hose into the connec- tion, it will lock into place. (see description / illustration ) In order to disconnect it, push down with your thumb and pull the suction hose out. *AD 3.200 Connect both suction pipes and con- nect them to the suction hose. (see description / illustration ) *AD 3.200 Use the appropriate insert for vacuum- ing on hard surfaces and carpets. (see description / illustration ) Hard surfaces: Use the insert with 2 bristles. If the cleaning power of the appliance dete- riorates please check the following: Accessories, suction hose or suction tubes are clogged, please remove the obstruction using a stick. The flat fold filter or the coarse dirt filter is dirty. Knock on the flat fold filter or fil- ter basket and clean under running wa- ter if necessary.
