- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used. Use only original spare parts.

- Let the device cool down before cleaning and before putting it away!

- Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable replaced only by the manufacturer, our customer service, or a qualified person, and with a cable of the same type.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
Commissioning
- Remove all packaging materials. Unwind the mains cable completely.
- Before inserting the plug into the socket, make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the device. You can find this information on the nameplate.
- Connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket.
- Slide the switch on the handle to position I to turn on the appliance. The control lamp lights up. The appliance will be operational after a few minutes.
NOTE:
When the appliance has heated up, it may result in a slight development of odors. This odor is caused by the coating of the heating rod and will disappear with time. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
Use
WARNING:
Only use the appliance for dry hair. - Do not touch the scalp with the hot curling tongs.
CAUTION:
- Only use the appliance with natural hair. It is not suitable for artificial hair pieces or wigs due to its high temperature.
- Never use the appliance in combination with styling products such as mousse, hairspray, or gel.
TIPS:
We recommend that you spray heat protection spray onto your dry hair prior to the application. - You will achieve tightly rolled curls with thin strands of hair (ca. 2 cm). Take thicker strands (4 to 6 cm) for loose waves. - When you are done shaping your curls, let the hair cool off completely before continuing with the styling. For intensive curls, do not brush your hair afterwards. Get it into shape with your fingers. For a wavy, voluminous look, gently brush your curls with a brush.
- Comb or brush your hair to untangle it.
- Take a strand of hair into your hand. Hold the curling tongs horizontal and away from your head.
- Place the heating rod close to the hairline of the strand and roll up the hair from the root to the tip.
- Hold down the hair-ends at the pointed end of the heating rod for a maximum of 10 to 15 seconds.
- Let go of the hair-ends and carefully pull the curling rod from the hair.
- Let the curl cool down.
- Repeat steps 2 to 6 for more curls.
Switch-off
After use, slide the switch to position "0" and disconnect from the mains.
Storage
- Leave the device to cool before putting it away! To do so, place the appliance with the stand onto a heat-resistant, stable and level surface.
- When the appliance has cooled down, you may hang it up on the suspension eye.
Mains Cable
- Do not wrap the mains cable around the appliance. This may result in the cable breaking.
- Check the mains cable regularly for damage.
Cleaning
WARNING:
Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socket. Under no circumstances should you immerse the device in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire. - Let the appliance cool completely before you clean it! Risk of burns!
CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth without additives. - You may clean the heating rod with a slightly moist towel as needed. - Let the appliance dry completely before you store it or reuse it.

Getting started
- Remove the device from the packaging and free it from any protective film.
- Carefully unwind the power cord.
- Before inserting the plug into the socket, make sure that the mains voltage matches the device parameters. The relevant information can be found on the rating label.
- Connect the device to a properly installed and earthed socket.
- Turn the switch on the handle to the on position. The indicator lamp lights up. The device can be used after a few minutes.
NOTE:
The device may emit a slight odor when first used. This odor is caused by the coating on the heating element and will disappear after a short time. Ensure adequate ventilation in the room.
Usage
WARNING:
- Use the device only on dry hair. Do not touch the scalp with the hot plates.
WARNING:
Use the device only for styling natural hair. It is not suitable for synthetic hair or wigs due to the high temperature. Do not use the device in combination with hair cosmetics: mousses, lacquers, or gels.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
We recommend applying a heat protectant spray on dry hair before using the tongs. You will get beautifully curled curls from thin strands (approx. 2 cm). Take a strand of hair (4-6 cm) for looser curls. After finishing styling, let the hair cool before continuing to work with it. - To maintain defined curls, do not brush your hair after styling. Shape with your fingers. To add waviness and volume, carefully comb the hair with a comb.
- Comb the hair thoroughly to detangle. 2. Take a strand of hair and wrap it around the tong. Hold the styling tong horizontally away from your head. 3. Place the heating element of the tongs at the roots of the hair and wind the hair from the beginning to the ends.
- Hold the ends of the hair at the marked end of the tongs for a maximum of 10-15 seconds.
- Release the ends and carefully unwind the hair. 6. Let the strand cool
- Repeat steps 2-6 for the remaining strands.
