2. Safety Instructions

Only vacuum cold ashes. Never vacuum anything that is burning or smoking such as cigarettes, cigars, etc. Never vacuum liquids.
- Never use the device in or near wet areas. Risk of electric shocks.
- Never touch the device with wet or damp hands.
- Unplug the device when you are not using it.
- Never unplug or move the device by pulling the power cord. Always put the power cord in a way it does not disturb people. Do not crimp or wrap the power cord around the device.
- Do not insert objects into the openings of the device. Never interrupt or block the air intake and safeguard it from dust, hair and other objects that can hinder the airflow.
Always use the device with its filter in order to avoid damage to the motor.

5. Packaging

  • Always check for transport damages after unpacking the device. Also, check if the accessories are included. Please contact your local dealer when noticing damages or an incomplete device.
  • Never throw away the packaging carton. It could be necessary for storing the device or sending it back to your dealer in case of damage (also refer to the warranty).
  • Caution! Always keep the packaging material on a safe place. Plastic bags and other packing materials could be dangerous for children and animals.

8. Assembly

Before using the ash cleaner, make sure all accessories are correctly fastened.
- Unfasten the fixing clips and remove the cover from the ash collector.
- Attach the filter to the lower part of the cover. Attach the included filter bag to the filter. The filter bag will protect the filter.
- Replace the cover on the ash collector and fasten the fixing clips.
- Attach the aluminium suction nozzle to the flexible hose.
- Attach the flexible hose to the ash collector.

9. Operation

9.1 Vacuuming Ashes

  • Check if the device is assembled well before using it.
  • To vacuum ashes, connect the hose to the suction connection.
  • Insert the power plug into the mains socket.
  • Switch on the device.
    Vacuum the cold ashes.
  • Switch off the device.
  • Unplug the device from the mains.
  • Remove the cover from the ash collector.
  • Throw away the ashes in an environmentally safe way.

9.2 Blow Function

This ash cleaner features a convenient blow function. This function allows you to blow away ashes and to move them to places that are more accessible.

  • Check if the device is assembled well before using it.
  • To use this blow function, connect the hose to the blowing connection.
  • Insert the power plug into the mains socket.

  • Switch on the device.

  • Switch off the device after use.
  • Unplug the device from the mains.

10. Cleaning and Maintenance

Always unplug the device before starting any cleaning and maintenance activity.
- Clean the filter frequently. The frequency depends on the type of ashes you vacuum. Types of ashes can differ. For some types of ashes, you will need to clean the filter more often than for other types.
Take off the filter and clean it with water. Let it dry afterwards. Do not use a dry cleaner of a hair dryer to speed up the drying process of the filter. Never mount a damp filter into the ash cleaner!
- Never clean the device with water but use a damp cloth to remove dirt.
- Never use flammable or caustic products to clean the device.
- Please contact your local dealer when you need spare parts for this appliance. Always mention the specific serial number, which is mentioned on the rating label of the device.

Since its foundation in 1972, Velleman® acquired extensive experience in the electronics world and currently distributes its products in over 85 countries.

All our products fulfil strict quality requirements and legal stipulations in the EU. In order to ensure the quality, our products regularly go through an extra quality check, both by an internal quality department and by specialized external organisations. If, all precautionary measures notwithstanding, problems should occur, please make appeal to our warranty (see guarantee conditions).

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

  • All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.

  • Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion. You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

- Not covered by warranty:

  • all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;

  • consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... (unlimited list);

  • flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc....

  • flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions:

  • damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);

  • damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article:

  • all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.

  • Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

  • Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

  • Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.

  • The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
