- 1 Instruction manual
5 Accessories
Designation Description
Y24 24/12 DC/DC converter
for connecting 12-V--- cooling device to 24 V---
6 Technical description
The cooler is suitable for mobile use. You can cool products to a maximum of
● M35 AC/DC: 20 °C
● M40 AC/DC: 18 °C
under the ambient temperature.
A grid divider can be used to separate foodstuffs, e.g. bottles and fruit.
Its cooling system is a non-wearing Peltier cooling, the heat is discharged by a fan.
Additionally the cooler is equipped with a connection jack for a music player (e.g. MP3 player). The sound is transferred via the lid which thus works as a loudspeaker.
M35 AC/DC
The cooler M35 AC/DC can additionally warm the contents of the cooler to approx. 65 °C or keep them warm.
An integrated battery monitor can be switched on to protect your vehicle battery from discharging to dangerously low levels (see chapter “Using the battery monitor (M35 AC/DC only)” on page 14).
The cooling box is equipped with an automatic priority circuit. Thus it is ensured that with simultaneous connection to the alternating current circuit and to a 12-V-battery, the alternating current circuit will be used.

7 Operation

CAUTION! Health hazard!
Food may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable containers.

NOTE
- Before starting your new cooling device for the first time, you should clean it inside and outside with a damp cloth for hygienic reasons (please also refer to the chapter “Cleaning and maintenance” on page 14).
- A few water drops may form inside the cooler if it has been cooling for a lengthy period. This is normal because the moisture in the air condenses to water when the temperature in the cooler falls. The cooler is not defective. Wipe it out with a dry cloth if necessary.
7.1 Energy saving tips
- Choose a well ventilated installation location which is protected against direct sunlight.
- Allow warm food to cool down first before placing it in the device to keep cool.
- Do not open the cooling device more often than necessary.
- Do not leave the cooler unit open for longer than necessary.
7.2 Using the cooler

NOTICE! Risk of damage
- Ensure that the objects placed in the cooler are suitable for cooling or (M35 AC/DC only) heating to the selected temperature.
- Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not excessively refrigerated. Liquids expand when they freeze and can therefore destroy the glass containers.
- Ensure that your cooler is well ventilated so that any heat created can dissipate. Otherwise proper functioning cannot be ensured. It is especially important not to cover the air vents.
Using M35 AC/DC
▶ Place the cooler on a firm base.
▶ Connect the 12 V connection cable (fig. 1 2, page 3) to the cigarette lighter or a 12 V plug socket in the vehicle.

9 Troubleshooting
| Problem Possible cause Suggested remedy | ||
| Your device is not working (plug is inserted). | There is no voltage flowing from the DC socket (cigarette lighter) in your vehicle. | The ignition must be switched on in most vehicles to supply current to the cigarette lighter. |
| No voltage present in the AC voltage socket. | Try using another plug socket. | |
| The inner fan or the cooling element is defective. | This can only be repaired by an authorised repair centre. | |
| When operating from the DC socket (cigarette lighter):The ignition is on and the cooler is not working. | The fuse of the DC plug is dirty. This results in a poor electrical contact. | If the plug of your cooler becomes very warm in the DC socket fitting, either the fitting must be cleaned or the plug has not been assembled correctly. |
| The fuse of the DC plug has blown. | Replace the fuse of the DC plug with one of the same rating (fig. 6 1, page 5). | |
| The vehicle fuse has blown. | Replace the vehicle's DC socket fuse (usually 15 A). Please refer to the operating manual of your vehicle. | |
| No music. The batteries are empty. Insert three new type AA (Mignon). | 1.5 V batteries, type AA (Mignon). | |
10 Disposal
▶ Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins wherever possible.

If you wish to finally dispose of the product, ask your local recycling centre or specialist dealer for details about how to do this in accordance with the applicable disposal regulations.

Protect the environment!
