Frequently Asked Questions - 4BAR LT QuadBT ILS Chauvet

How to connect the 4BAR LT QuadBT ILS in DMX mode?
Connect a DMX cable (XLR 3-pin) from your controller to the DMX input of the fixture. Set the starting DMX address in the DMX menu (4Ch, 6Ch or 19Ch). Make sure the terminator is in place if necessary.
How to use Bluetooth control with the BTAir app?
Enable Bluetooth mode in the menu (bLE). Open the BTAir app on your smartphone, search for the Bluetooth ID displayed on the fixture's screen, and connect. You can then control functions remotely.
How to activate master/slave mode?
Configure one fixture as master by setting the SET menu to oUT then select DMX or SLAV depending on compatibility. Slaves must be set to SLAV and connected via DMX cable. The master controls the slaves.
How to use the included foot pedal?
Connect the foot pedal to the dedicated input. The left and right buttons allow you to select preset colors and programs (white, red, green, blue, amber, etc.). Press and hold to activate strobe. Refer to the manual for combinations.
How to adjust the sensitivity of sound-active mode?
In the menu, select SEnS and adjust the value from 0 to 100 using the UP/DOWN buttons. A higher value makes the fixture more responsive to quiet sounds.
What are the available DMX modes?
The 4BAR LT QuadBT ILS offers three DMX modes: 4 channels (RGB+Amber control), 6 channels (RGB+Amber, dimming, strobe), and 19 channels (individual control of each LED plus programs, dimming, strobe, and sound sensitivity).
How to replace the fuse?
Disconnect the fixture. Use a flathead screwdriver to lift the cap of the fuse holder. Remove the blown fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type and rating (indicated on the fixture). Replace the cap.
How to use the IRC-6 remote?
Make sure infrared is enabled in the menu (ir set to on). Point the IRC-6 remote at the fixture's IR sensor to change colors, activate programs, etc. Download the IRC-6 manual from chauvetdj.com.
What to do if the fixture stops responding?
Check the power supply and DMX cable (if used). Try unplugging/replugging the fixture. If the problem persists, contact Chauvet support. Do not attempt to open the fixture, as it contains no user-serviceable parts.
Is it possible to attach the fixture to the floor or overhead?
Yes, the fixture can be mounted on a stand or suspended. Use the provided L brackets and a safety cable for any overhead mounting. Maintain a distance of at least 50 cm from adjacent surfaces and do not exceed 40°C.
