General Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
- Use only original spare parts.
- Pay careful attention to the following "Special Safety Instructions".

- Children should be supervised at all times in order to ensure that they do not play with the device.

Special Safety Instructions

WARNING:
- Attention, the cutting blades are extremely sharp! Handle with extreme care when using the appliance and when cleaning the blades!

Warning! The blades are very sharp. Before inserting or removing the blades, always remove the mains plug.

Do not leave the knife unattended when it is ready to operate.
- Never immerse the basic device in water.
• Always remove the mains plug before cleaning the device. - Do not cut any frozen food or bones with the electric knife.
- Do not operate the knife for more than 3 minutes without a break. You should then pause for 1 minute.
Intended Use
This device is used:
• e.g. for cutting fresh bread, meat, roasts and similar items.
It is intended exclusively for this purpose and may only be used as such. It may only be used in the manner described in these instructions for use. The device must not be used for commercial purposes.
Any other use of this device is considered to be contrary to the intended use and may result in damage to materials or even personal injury.
The firm Clatronic International GmbH does not accept any liability for damage caused as a result of the use of this device contrary to its intended use.
Putting the device into operation
- Remove the motor device and the accessories from the box. Also remove any packaging materials that may be present.
- Wipe all the parts with a moist cloth to remove all the dust that may have deposited on and in the device during transport. Then mount the device again by proceeding in the opposite order.
WARNING:
Please be particularly careful when handling the knives. There is a danger of injury. Only hold the blades as near to the ends as possible or by the plastic handling surfaces.
- Assemble the blades as shown in illustration 1 (ABB 1).
- Insert the ends of the knives into the retainer on the motor device.
- Press the blades in the direction of the motor device until the ends are felt to lock in place. Check that they are firmly attached.
- Insert the plug in a duly installed 230 V/50 Hz socket.
- Switching on: Please note that for safety reasons the knife can only be switched on if switches 2 and 3 pressed.
- Do not exert too much pressure when cutting; allow the knife to do the cutting.
- After use, please remove the plug from the socket and take out the blades by pressing button 1.

• The cutting blades are extremely sharp! - Under no circumstances should you place the device in water for cleaning. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.

- Wipe off the housing with a damp cloth and dry with a dry cloth.
Blades
• These parts can be cleaned by hand in soapy water.
- Rinse off with clear water and dry the parts off.
