DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE (FIG. 1) A On/off switch B Motor cover C Cover unlocking levers D Funnels E Support F Mixers G Freezing bowls H Base I Support locking/unlocking levers IMPORTANT: When assembling, disassembling or cleaning the appliance, always make sure it is switched off and disconnected from the mains power. Before using the appliance, it is recommended to wash all removable parts (bowls and mixer) and the cover using water and common dish detergent.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Before making your ice cream - Adequately freeze the freezing bowls (G) before each use; the bowl has a double insulated con- tainer that needs to be totally frozen (approx. 12 hours) for optimal results. It is recommended to put the bowl in the rear part of the freezer, where the temperature is at lowest (the freezer used must reach a temperature of - 18°C at least). Preferably, put the bowl closed, inside a plastic bag to prevent it from absorbing odours and from coming in contact with ice, in a perfectly upright position with the opening facing up. It is recommended to keep the bowl in the freezer when not in use so that it is ready at any time. - Prepare the ingredients for your recipe in a sufficiently large container so that they can be mixed thoroughly and smoothly. “Hot” recipes need to be left to cool to room temperature. All recipes, “hot” or “cold”, need to be chilled in the fridge for 3-4 hours before they are put in the ice cream maker. Making ice cream - Remove the freezingbowls (G) from the freezer and insert them into the base (H), using them immediately after having removed them from the fridge as they will quickly start to defrost (Fig. 2). Make sure the bowls perfectly fit in the hexagonal inserts on the base (H). Note: The appliance may also be used with one only bowl (G) according to the ice cream amount to prepare. - Put the each mixer (F) into a bowl (G), making sure the ring is facing up (Fig. 3). - Fit the transparent support (E) over the bowls (G) so that the mixers (F) properly fit inside the relevant central holes on the support (E). Lock the support by rotating the two levers (I) on the base (H) in horizontal position (Fig. 4). - Insert the motor cover (B) on the support (E), by pressing it slightly downwards until it locks in place (Fig. 5). - Insert the funnels (D) into the apposite housings on the support (E) (Fig. 6). - Plug the appliance in and start the appliance by pressing the apposite switch (A). - Pour the prepared mix immediately through the funnels (D). The bowl may be filled up to 4 cm from the edge, as the mix will increase its volume during the freezing process.EN
WARNING Always start the appliance before adding the ice cream or the sorbet to prevent the mix from freezing immediately inside the container. - Leave the machine to operate for a maximum of 30-40 minutes, or until the mixture reaches the required consistency. Ice creams should have the consistency of a soft cream. For thicker ice cream, remove the mix from the bowl and put it into an airtight freezer container. Leave it in the freezer just for a short period – no longer than 30 minutes. WARNING Never stop and restart the appliance during the freezing process, since the mix may freeze when coming in contact with the bowl, jeopardizing the movement of the paddle. - It is possible to add other ingredients (chocolate flakes, nuts, caramel) by pouring them through the funnels (D) during the last 5 minutes of the freezing process. - When the mix reaches the required density, switch the appliance off by pressing the apposite switch (A) and unplug it. - Remove the motor cover (B) by pulling the appropriate unlocking levers (C) upwards (Fig. 7). Remove the support (E) by rotating the two levers (I) on the base (H), Fig. 4, and the mixers (F) in upright position. - Use an ice cream slice or a plastic spoon to take the ice cream inside the bowls (G). WARNING Do not use metal utensils or objects inside the bowl to prevent the surface from being damaged. HANDY HINTS: - The higher the percentage of fats in the ice cream, the richer the ice cream will be, as well as softer and blended. - Adding a whisked egg white in the final moments of blending will add to the volume of the mix. - Homemade ice creams should only be stored in airtight containers inside the freezer. In any case, do not store the ice cream for longer than 2 days. - The mix must be fluid at the start of preparation. Do not use hard or frozen ingredients inside the mixture. - Adding alcohol to a recipe will block or even prevent the freezing process.
CLEANING AND MAINTAINING THE APPLIANCE
IMPORTANT Clean the freezing bowls (G), the mixers (F) and the support (E) thoroughly before the next use. Any residues could affect the hygiene conditions that are essential when making ice cream. Eggs, milk, cream and generally speaking, all fresh foods are easily contaminated and perishable, which is why maximum cleanliness of parts will guarantee the best results in terms of hygiene and ice cream safety. - Wash all components with warm, soapy water. - Wipe the motor cover (B) with a damp sponge or a cloth. IMPORTANT Never use abrasives or metal utensils. Rinse and dry all parts thoroughly. Do not proceed with freezing process of the bowl when it is still wet.EN
