What is the difference between the 90 s and 120 s timer?

The 90-second timer is suitable for thin gels, while 120 seconds is suitable for thicker gels. Continuous use allows prolonged curing without automatic shut-off.

Can I use the device to dry regular nail polish?

Yes, the nail drying function activates a fan that speeds up the drying of the polish. Place your nails in the opening and wait a few minutes.

How do I replace the UV tubes?

Unplug the device, remove the bottom tray, insert the new UV-9W-L tubes (ref. 163.290) respecting the terminal direction, then replace the tray. Always replace all 4 tubes at the same time.

What are the essential safety precautions?

Never look directly at the UV lamp. Avoid use if you have skin cancer, photosensitivity disorders, or if you are taking photosensitizing medications. Keep the device out of reach of children under 14 years old.

Is the device suitable for toenails?

Yes, the tunnel design allows inserting both fingers and toes. Make sure to position the nails upward.

How do I clean the bottom tray?

Remove the removable bottom tray and clean it with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use harsh detergents or solvents. Let it dry before putting it back.

What should I do if the gel does not cure?

Check that the UV tubes are properly inserted and lit. Increase the treatment time (90 s, 120 s, or continuous). If the problem persists, replace the tubes.

Can I use the device continuously all day?

The device is intended for domestic and not professional use. Avoid prolonged continuous use. Observe break times to avoid overheating.

Where can I buy replacement tubes?

Replacement UV tubes (ref. 163.290) are available from Beurer customer service or from authorized dealers. Use exclusively UV-9W-L tubes.

Is the device under warranty?

Yes, subject to Beurer warranty conditions. For any claim, contact customer service with your proof of purchase. Repairs must be carried out by an authorized operator.

The device may only be used on people for drying UV nail gel and for drying varnished fingernails and toenails.

The device is only intended for the purpose described in these instructions for use. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper or careless use. The device is intended for domestic use only, not for commercial purposes.

• Never place any objects on the device. Do not cover the device while it is in operation.
• Repairs must only be carried out by Customer Services or authorised suppliers. Failure to comply will invalidate the warranty.
• Keep sensitive areas of skin such as scars and tattoos away from radiation.
• Never use the device near open flames or hot surfaces.
• Never pull the mains plug out of the socket using the mains cable or with wet hands.
• Do not use the device if it is visibly damaged, does not function properly or if the mains plug or mains cable is damaged. In these cases, contact Customer Services.
• The device is not intended for use by people (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental skills or a lack of experience and/or a lack of knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person who has responsibility for their safety or they receive instructions from this person on how to use the device. 1. Getting to know your device

The UV nail dryer MPE 58 combines the benefits of a UV light drying device and a nail dryer.

With the UV nail dryer MPE 58 you can dry the gel nail modelling on your fingernails and toenails or dry your varnished fingernails and toenails.

The special tunnel-like structure of the device and its reflecting foil incorporated into the interior help to ensure clean and even drying of the nails. To make cleaning and disinfection more efficient and more comfortable, the UV nail dryer is equipped with a removable base plate. This also helps to simplify the installation and replacement of the fluorescent tubes.

To dry your fingernails/toenails, you can choose between three different UV treatment times (90 second timer, 120 second timer, continuous operation).

3. Initial use

• Check to ensure that the package contains all the parts that should be included in the delivery. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact Customer Services.
• Remove all packaging material.

Warning

Keep packaging material away from children! Choking hazard.

• Place the device on a firm, level and dry surface.

Before you can begin using the UV nail dryer, you must insert the UV fluorescent tubes. In order to do this, follow the steps below:

1. Remove the base plate. 2. Carefully insert the fluorescent tubes into the

sockets.

Ensure that the brass terminals are correctly inserted.

4. Operation

Drying UV nail gel

1. Insert the mains plug into the socket.
2. Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the device.
3. Using the UV light button, select your desired UV light treatment time.

You can choose between three different UV light treatment times (90 second timer, 120 second timer and continuous operation).

Once the set treatment time has passed, the UV light switches off automatically (except in continuous operation).

1. Insert your nails varnished with UV nail gel into the opening in the device (with your nails facing upwards).
2. Switch the device off after use. To do this press the ON/OFF button and pull the mains plug out of the socket.

Drying varnished nails

1. Insert the mains plug into the socket.
2. Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the device.
3. To switch on the dryer function, press the dryer button. The fan inside the housing will begin to rotate.
4. Insert your nails varnished with nail varnish into the opening in the device (with your nails facing upwards).
5. As soon as your nail varnish has dried, switch the device off. To do this press the ON/OFF button and pull the mains plug out of the socket.

5. Maintenance and cleaning

Replacing the fluorescent tubes

If one of the four fluorescent tubes ceases to work properly, replace all four fluorescent tubes.

You can order the required fluorescent tubes from Customer Services.

Before replacing the fluorescent tubes, pull the mains plug out of the socket!

Important

Only insert UV-9W-L type fluorescent tubes into the device.

To replace the fluorescent tubes, follow the steps contained in section "3. Initial use".

Cleaning

Warning

Before beginning cleaning, pull the mains plug out of the socket!

• Clean the base plate after each use.
• Clean the surface of the device and the base plate carefully using a slightly damp cloth only.
• Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents.

6. What if there are problems?
