The Electric Hard Skin Remover is intended for the removal of cal- lus formation. It is designed solely for use on humans. It has been developed for private use and is unsuitable for commercial pur- poses. Foreseeable misuse DANGER! Risk of injury!
- The device may not be used on reddened, injured or burnt skin. Similarly, healthy skin without calluses may not be treated with this device. Birth marks, warts and other protru- sions (except calluses) must not be treated with this device. In all of these cases, this could lead to injuries of the skin and deeper tissue layers.
- Diabetics and persons with high blood pressure may only use this device after consultation with their general practitioner.

- This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and people with restricted physical, sensory or intellectual abilities or people with- out adequate experience and/or understand- ing, if they are supervised or instructed on how to use this device safely and if they are aware of the resulting risks. Children should not be allowed to play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by unsupervised children. DANGER as small parts may be swallowed The cleaning brush is a small part that could be swallowed. Keep these away from children under the age of 36 months. DANGER for children
- Packing materials are not children's toys. Children should not be allowed to play with the plastic bags. There is a risk of suffocation.
DANGER! Risk of injury!
- Do not use the device if there is visible damage to the device.
- To avoid any risk, do not make modifications to the product. Repairs must be carried out by a specialist workshop or the Service Centre. DANGER from batteries
- Be sure to observe the correct polarity when inserting the batteries. Replace only with the same or an equivalent type.
- Batteries can be life-threatening if swallowed. Therefore you should store batteries out of the reach of young children. If a battery has been swallowed, medical assistance must be sought immediately.
- DANGER OF EXPLOSION! Batteries must not be charged or reactivated by other means, nor must they be dismantled, thrown into a fire or short-circuited.
- Always remove used batteries from the device immediately, since these may leak and therefore cause damage.
- Remove the batteries from the device if you intend not to use it for an extended period of time. The batteries may leak and damage the device.
- Do not subject batteries to extreme conditions, place them on radiators or expose them to direct sunlight. Otherwise, there is an increased danger of batteries leaking.
- Always replace all batteries at the same time.
- If battery acid has leaked, avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In case of contact with the acid, rinse the affected area at once with plenty of clean water and seek medical assistance immediately.

WARNING! Risk of injury and skin irritation
- Do not use the device if the roller shows damages.
- Do not file over previously damaged skin areas (e.g. through eczema or wounds), or over raised skin areas (such as e.g. birth marks or warts). WARNING! Risk of material damage
- Only use the original accessories.
- Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Protect your device from shocks and prevent it from falling down.
- Use this device on human callused skin only. Other surfaces could damage the rollers.
- Only clean the roller with the brush.
luses Calloused skin is normal, especially on the feet. However, it should not become too thick or hard. Both of these conditions can cause pain. Causes An increase in calloused skin can be caused by the wrong shoes, obesity, an incorrect gait, bone deformations or extremely dry skin. Should you suffer from an increase in calloused skin, you should search for the causes and try to eliminate them. Also ask your doctor. Prevention
- Regular foot baths refresh and relax your feet.
- Moisturise your feet regularly (especially after every foot bath).

- Check that the delivery is complete.

1. Slide the battery compartment lid 7 off the housing.
2. If necessary, replace the old batteries with new ones.
3. Slide the battery compartment lid 7 back on to the housing.
6.2 Attachment and removal of roller
1. Figure A: place the roller holder 2 on the top of the device
in such a way, that the cog wheels of the roller and the device are above one another.
2. Press the roller holder 2 on to the device until it engages
3. Check that it is secure.
Two complete rollers 1/8 with roller holders 2 are supplied. They have different grains.
- The coarser grain (turquoise roller 8) is for use on thick cal- luses.
- The finer grain (purple roller 1) also removes calluses, but also smoothes them. This roller is especially suitable for smoothing after having used the coarser roller 8. WARNING! Exert only light pressure. Do not treat one spot longer than 2-3seconds. If too much pressure is exerted or if the treatment duration is too long, this can lead to skin injuries.
- Make sure the skin is dry.
- It is imperative that the skin is taut.
- Stop the treatment immediately in case of pain.
- Lay a blanket or towel down, on which the removed cal- loused skin can fall.
1. Expose the parts from which the calluses are to be removed.
2. Press the safety button 4 down and then press the slide
switch 3 up. The roller 1/8 starts to rotate.
3. Apply the rotating roller slowly and carefully to the callus,
which is to be removed.
4. Apply the roller 1/8 to the callus with only a little pressure.
5. To switch off the device, slide the button 3 down.
7.2 Skin care after application
- Apply body lotion, oil or cream to the skin.
- Do not apply any substances to the treated areas, which could irritate the skin (e.g. deodorant).
8. Cleaning and maintenance of the
- Do not switch the device on if the roller unit has been removed.
- Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
- None of the parts may be cleaned under water. After every application
- Clean the roller holder 2 and the roller 1/8 after every application.
1. Switch off the device.
2. Clean the roller holder and the rollers with the brush 10
after every application.
- Wipe down the housing of the device with a damp cloth when necessary.

DANGER! Keep the device out of the reach of children. NOTE: to prevent soiling, store the device with attached roller and protective lid.
- When the device is not being used, place the protective lid 9 on the roller holder 2.
- If you are not going to be using the device for a longer peri- od of time, remove the batteries.
10. Replacing the roller
WARNING! Do not use the device if the surface of the roller is damaged. NOTE: replacement rollers can be ordered at: - on www.hoyerhandel.com - or at the service centre hotline, which is listed in the chapter "Warranty of the HOYER HandelGmbH" on page 15. When must the roller be replaced?
- When you can see signs of damage.
- If you need an increasing amount of time for the same result.

Batteries must not be discarded with your house- hold waste. Spent batteries must be disposed of properly. Special containers are available for this purpose in shops selling batteries and at munici- pal collection points. (Rechargeable) batteries marked with the follow- ing letters contain harmful substances such as: Cd (cadmium), Hg (mercury), Pb (lead).

Warranty period and statutory claims for defects The warranty period is not extended when the warranty has been claimed. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any damages and defects already existing at the time of purchase must be reported immediately upon unpacking. Repairs arising after the expiration of the warranty period are subject to a charge. Warranty coverage The device was produced carefully according to strict quality guidelines and tested diligently prior to delivery. The warranty applies to material or factory defects. This warranty does not include product parts that are subject to standard wear and therefore can be considered wear parts; the same applies to damages at fragile parts, e.g. switches, rechargeable batteries or parts made of glass. This warranty expires if the product is damaged, not used as in- tended or not serviced. For the proper operation of the product, all instructions listed in the operating instructions must be ob- served carefully.
