USER MANUAL Bon Cuisine 520 976 ARIETE
The necessary precautions must be taken when using electrical appliances, and these include the following:
- Make sure that the voltage on the appliance rating plate corresponds to that of the mains electricity.
Never leave the appliance unattended when connected to the power supply; unplug it after 2. every use.
Never place the appliance on or close to sources of heat.3.
Always place the appliance on a flat, level surface during use.4.
Place the oven on a work top or kitchen cabinet capable of withstanding a temperature of at 5.
least 90^ and leave some room above it. Under no circumstances should it be slotted in or inserted into a unit.
Never leave the appliance exposed to the elements (rain, sun, etc....).6.
Make sure that the power cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces.7.

- Only use the appliance for cooking purposes.
- The appliance shall be placed against a wall when use.
- Do not allow acid substances (lemon juice, vinegar, etc.) to remain on the appliance.
Acidic as lemon juice, tomato sauce, vinegar or similar, if Iaved for long time, may harm the enamel, making it opaque.
- To unplug the appliance, grip the plug and remove it directly from the power socket. Never pull the power cord to unplug the appliance.

USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
Carry out an "empty" cooking cycle so as to remove any smell and smoke from the protective coatings applied to metal parts:
- switch on the oven by turning the dial to the symbol set the temperature to the maximum and the timer to 15 minutes;
- leave the appliance to operate with the door open in a well-aired environment.
During this operation, it is usual for smoke to come off metal parts and side openings. After this operation, ventilate the room.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ATTENTION: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD FROM THE ELECTRICITY MAINS BEFORE FITTING OR REMOVING SINGLE ATTACHMENTS OR BEFORE CLEANING THE APPLIANCE.
- Prepare the foods for cooking by placing them on the grill (C) or inside the drip pan (D).

Plug the appliance into the mains power and use the function select dial (I) to select the type of cooking required:
cooking at full power (top and bottom at the same time, with fan);
* bottom cooking (with fan);
bottom cooking;
top cooking (in case the rotisserie has not been inserted);
defrost. -
Turn the dial of the thermostat (H) and set the required cooking temperature.
- Place the grill (C) or the drip pan (D) with the previously prepared foods inside the oven at the cooking level (F) required.
When cooking foods on the grill (C), also insert the drip pan (D) at a lower level (F) than the grill (C) so as to collect any cooking fat. We recommend pouring two glasses of water in the drip pan (D) to prevent smoke, unpleasant odours and build up.
IMPORTANT: Place foods at a minimum distance of 2cm from the top heating element.
- Use the dial (L) to set the required cooking time. At this point, the oven will start cooking and the operating light (M) will switch on. To manage the cooking time according to taste, it is sufficient to move the dial (L) to the function marked with the symbol “ 山 ”; the oven will start operating and the operating light (M) will switch on.
When the oven is switched on, according to the type of cooking selected, the fan will start up automatically. Hot ventilated air guarantees even temperature distribution for even cooking on several levels, without mixing odours.
IMPORTANT: Watch over the recipe while it is cooking.
- The oven will stop automatically either when the set cooking time is up or when the dial (L) is returned to "0". In both cases, the indicator light (M) switches off.
- Unplug the appliance from the mains power, open the door and to avoid the risk of burning yourself, remove the grill (C) or the drip pan (D) with special oven gloves for the grill or the special fork (A), provided, for the pan (Fig. 2).
COOKING WITH ROTISSERIE
- Slip one of the forks onto the rotisserie (E) (two tines facing inwards) and screw it into place. Tie the roast (meat, chicken, etc.) with string and slide it onto the fork take care to centre the meat well, then slide in the second fork, also with the tip facing inwards.
If necessary, unscrew the first fork to centre the roast on the rotisserie and then lock the two forks in position. - Remove the grill (C) from the oven and place the drip pan (D) on a level (F) lower than the position of the rotisserie (E).
- Insert the pointed end of the rotisserie (E) into the hole in the right-hand side, fixing it to the motor
axle. Rest the opposite end of the rotisserie in the support on the left-hand side (Fig. 3).

Plug the appliance into the power mains and use the function select dial (H), select the type of cooking required:
full power rotisserie cooking (top and bottom at the same time, with fan);
top rotisserie cooking (with fan); -

- Unplug the appliance from the power means, open the door all the way and use the fork (B) to lift the rotisserie out of the support side on the left and then lift out the other end of the motor axle (Fig. 4).
INTERNAL LIGHT
When the oven is switched on, using the on/timer dial (L), the oven light will switch on at the same time and this will switch off either automatically when the set cooking time is up or manually, if the dial (L) is set to "0".
CLEANING
ATTENTION: NEVER PLACE THE APPLIANCE BODY, PLUG OR POWER CORD IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUIDS; ALWAYS WIPE CLEAN WITH A DAMP CLOTH.

- Frequent cleaning prevents the formation of smoke and unpleasant odours during cooking.
- Use the special oven gloves to remove the crumb tray (P) and proceed to clean. Return it to the inside of the appliance, taking care to position it correctly under the heating elements (N) (Fig. 5).
- The drip tray (D), grill (C), crumb tray (P) and rotisserie (E) can be washed in warm, soapy water, or in the top rack of the dishwasher.
- Always wipe the outside clean with a damp sponge.
Do not use abrasive products that can damage the paintwork.
- Never use products that might corrode aluminium (spray detergents) to clean the inside surfaces and never scrape the sides with sharp or pointed objects. Wipe with a damp sponge at the end of each use, when the oven has completely cooled.
IMPORTANT: All enamelled parts need to be washed with soapy water or other non-abrasive products.
- When there are grease spots or smoke exhalations, we recommend removing grease with a sponge soaked in hot soapy water.
IMPORTANT: Dry with a soft cloth. Acidic substances such as lemon juice, tomato puree, vinegar or similar can damage the enamel, making it lose shine.
