NoteforusersofWindows®98:Firstdownloadthedriverfromourhomepageathttp://www.trekstor.de. Then install the driver before connecting the i.Beat cebrax RS to your PC. Connect the i.Beat cebrax RS to a USB port of your PC. Your operating system will immediately recognize the i.Beat cebrax RS and will add a "de v i c e W i t h re m o v A b l e st o r A g e " under "my co m p u t e r ".
a) Select the desired files (such as MP3) with the mouse. Copy these files by clicking them with your right mouse button and then selecting "c o p y ". b) Under "m y co m p u t e r ", select the device with removable storage, "tr e K st o r i.be A t c e b r A x rs". c) Click it with your right mouse button, and select "pA s t e " to start copying. After copying is over, the data will be available on the i.Beat cebrax RS. Turningthedeviceonandoff Turn on the i.Beat cebrax RS by briefly pressing the button. To turn off the i.Beat cebrax RS, hold the button for approximately 3 seconds. Note:Makesurethatthe
switch has been moved to the left, i.e., that the button lock is turned off. If the button lock is activated, the button lock symbol or a corresponding message will appear. Differentmodes The i.Beat cebrax RS has different modes. To go to a mode, hold the button for approximately 1 second. Push the joystick to the left or right to select the desired mode, and confirm by pressing the button again. Leave the menu by pressing the button. Mode: Music Switch to "m u s i c " mode.
- Playback Briefly press the button to start playing an audio file.
- Pause Briefly press the button to stop playing the file. Repress the button to continue playing the file.
- Stop Press the button for approximately 1 second to stop playing the file. Repress the button to start playing the beginning of the song. EN– 8 – – 9 –
- Changetitle Push the joystick to the right to select the next song. If you push the joystick to the left within 5 seconds after a playback starts, you switch to the prior title. If you push the joystick to the left after a playback starts and after at least 5 seconds, the i.Beat cebrax RS returns to the beginning of the current title.
- Rewind/fast-forwardwithinasong You can navigate within a song by continuing to press the joystick in one direction or the other. Hold the joystick to the right or left to fast-forward or rewind. Note:Thelongeryouholdthejoystickinonedirection,thefasterthedevicewillgoforwardorrewind.
- Volumeincrease/volumedecrease Briefly press the joystick up or down to increase or decrease the volume. Note:Ifyoukeepholdingthejoystickup or down , the volume changes gradually. Special feature for the playback of Audible files When listening to Audible audio books (file extension *.aa), you can jump forward and backward to individual chapters if you change into the chapter mode by briefly pressing the 3-button. Note: If the chapter mode is active, the c symbol is displayed on your i.Beat cebrax RS. You can jump to the following or preceding chapter of the current Audible audio book by moving the joystick to the right J or to the left I. If you want to leave the chapter mode, you have to briefly press the 3 button once again. Foldernavigation You get to folder navigation in "m u s i c " mode by briefly pressing the button. By pressing the joystick to the right or left you mark the next or previous file. To play the selected file, press the button. To change to a subfolder, press the button briefly if the folder is marked. To return to the main directory, press the button. To leave folder navigation, press the button when you are in the main directory.
- Deletingafileusingfoldernavigation Select the file you want to delete using folder navigation, and briefly press the button. To confirm that you want to delete the file, switch to "y e s " by pressing the joystick to the left or right , and then press the button.– 10 – – 11 – Mode: RadioStation™ (FM Transmitter) Use the i.Beat cebrax RS as RadioStation™ to wirelessly play back i.Beat cebrax RS audio files on your car radio or your hi-fi system. You also have the option to share your music with friends, such as during sports or while on the go. To listen along to the music as it is being played on the i.Beat cebrax RS, your friends simply need to have an audio device with an integrated radio (e.g. i.Beat cebrax
- ActivatingtheintegratedRadioStation™andselectingthetransmittingfrequency Press the joystick to the left or right to select "e n A b l e " and confirm by pressing the button to activate the integrated RadioStation™ of the i.Beat cebrax RS. Then select the frequency from the frequency range of 87.5 MHz to 108.0 MHz, on which the audio files are to be transmitted. To do so, briefly press the joystick to the left or right to change the transmitting frequency in 0.1 MHz increments, or hold the joystick down to the left or right to change the transmitting frequency in 1.0 MHz increments. Confirm the selected transmitting frequency by pressing the button. Next, set your radio to the same frequency that you previously selected on the i.Beat cebrax RS. After which you can start playing the desired audio files. Note:
- WhentheintegratedRadioStation™isenabled,asymbolindicatingthiswillshowupinthedisplay, ontherightnexttotheequalizersymbol.
- Ifyouturnthe i.Beat cebrax RS off and back on again, you will have to reactivate the integratedRadioStation™.
- Ifyouinterruptthemusicbypressingthebutton,thetransmittingfrequencywillbecleared againafter30seconds,whichmeanstheRadioStation™willbeputintothestandbymode. Ifyoucontinuetoplaythemusicbypressingthebutton,theRadioStation™willautomatically be reactivated.
Press the joystick to the left or right to select "di s A b l e " and confirm by pressing the button to deactivate the integrated RadioStation™ of the i.Beat cebrax RS. After the integrated RadioStation™ has been deactivated, no additional audio files are transmitted on the frequency you selected. Mode:Voicerecording Switch to "v o i c e " mode. You can record your voice using the integrated microphone. Briefly press the button to start voice recording. Briefly press the button again to stop recording. Note:Allvoicerecordingsaresavedinthe"VOICE"folderofthe i.Beat cebrax RS. EN– 10 – – 11 –
Mode:Settings Switch to the "s e t t i n g s " mode. This mode allows you to set the equalizer, the different playback functions, the duration of the display, the contrast, the energy-saving mode and the sleep timer. Push the joystick to the left or the right to select the desired setting, and confirm by pressing the button. Mode: System Switch to the "s y s t e m " mode. In this mode, you can display the current firmware version, the entire memory and free memory of the i.Beat cebrax RS. You can also set or load the language and the default settings. Push the joystick to the left or the right to select the desired information or setting, and confirm by pressing the button. Note:
- ThisMP3playerisoptimizedfortheprovidedearphones(32Ohmimpedance).Usingotherearphoneswithalowerimpedance candamagetheMP3playerorearphone,especiallyMP3playerswith2earphonejacks.
- Exposing the unit to an electrostatic discharge, among other things, may interrupt the data transfer between the unit and the computer. If this occurs, the unit should be unplugged from the USB port and then plugged in again.
- Note:Thisdevicecanproducehighvolumes.Topreventhearingloss,donotlistentohighvolumesforlongperiods.Ifyounoticea ringing noise in your ears, lower the volume immediately or stop using the MP3 player. Please keep in mind that using earphones or headphones at loud volumes may result in permanent hearing loss. While you become accustomed to higher volumes over time, so that they may seem normal to you, your sense of hearing can still be impaired. The higher you adjust the volume, the faster your sense of hearing can be damaged.
