Thank you and congratulations on your purchase of your Wayscral electric bike. Your bike is equipped with electric pedalling assistance to make your trips easier
The assistance is intended to provide additional pedalling. The moment you start pedalling, the motor starts and helps you in the effort. The assistance varies depending on the speed of the bike, significant at start-up, less supported when the bike is launched, then disappears when the bike reaches 25km/h . It is important to keep this manual, which will allow you to properly adjust and maintain your bike. This manual must be read before first use.
This Wayscar electric bike for adults has been designed according to the requirements of the following European standards: EN 14764 and EN 15194 and which comply with safety requirements.

I. WARNINGS/PRECAUTIONS
Choose a safe location away from traffic to familiarise yourself with your new bike.
The assistance can be triggered with force. Check that your handlebars are straight and that the way is clear.
Before each use, please make sure that your bike is in good overall condition. We strongly advise you to equip yourself before getting on the bike. Wearing a helmet is a minimum requirement.
Before each use, please make sure that your bike is in good overall condition.
In addition, traffic on public roads requires compliance with the Highway Code and traffic regulations. Since 1 September 2008, cyclists are required wear reflective vests at night outside urban areas. MGTS declines any responsibility if the driver of the bike does not comply with the regulations in force.
This bike is intended for use in urban roads. It is not intended for use on surfaces that are unpaved or in poor condition. It is not designed for "all-terrain" use. Failure to observe these warnings may result in a fail or an accident and prematurely and irreversibly deteriorate the condition of your electric bike. If the bike is used by a child, parents should monitor and ensure that the user is able to use the bike safely.
In case of unusual climatic conditions (rain, cold, night...), be especially vigilant, dress accordingly and adapt your speed and your reactions.

The right handle activates your rear brake, while the left handle activates the front brake. It is recommended to distribute your braking force to 60/40 on average between the front and the rear. Your Wayscral bike is equipped with a front disc brake and a V-brake rear brake.
Warning: In case of rain or wet weather, braking distances are extended
Front disc brakes
Disc brakes require no maintenance. However, never throw oil or lubricant onto the disc or brake pads, for example, when servicing the chain or derailleur. If this happens, the brake pads must be changed or degreased. Discs: Your bike is equipped with discs with a diameter of 160mm .

Changing the brake pads
Remove the wheel and remove the worn brake pads from the brake caliper. The brake pads are held by magnets.
Place the new brake pads in such a way that the braking surfaces are in contact. Do not touch the braking surfaces.
Insert the brake pads one after the other into the brake callper. The brake pads are held by magnets.

V-Brake rear brakes
The jaws must close properly on the edge of the rims. The brake pads must be at an equal distance from the rim (approx. 3mm). The condition of the rim contributes greatly to the effectiveness of braking, so it is advisable to clean it regularly.
You should be able to achieve maximum braking power without the brake levers touching the handles. If this is not the case, your brakes must be adjusted.
-
A nut and locknut system allows you to adjust the braking force that will vary over time depending on the wear of the brake pads.
