Frequently Asked Questions - KH 7 STEBA

Why is there light smoke during first use?
During the first use, production residues (oil) may cause temporary and harmless smoke. This is normal and disappears after a few minutes.
What safety distances should be observed?
Place the device at least 1 meter away from flammable objects and furniture. Leave the air outlet grille free for 1 meter and the rear grille for 50 cm. Do not place under a power outlet.
How to clean the device filter?
Unplug the device, press the button on the back and remove the filter cover. Wash the sponge filter with lukewarm water, dry it well and put it back.
Oscillation does not work, what to do?
Press the oscillation button (rotation symbol) after turning on the device. If the problem persists, check that the device is on a flat surface and that no obstacle blocks the movement.
How to set the timer?
Press SET once, the display flashes 'OH'. Use the + buttons to increase the duration in increments of one hour, up to a maximum of 12h. Press SET again to confirm.
The remote control does not respond, what to check?
Make sure the remote control is within a range of 7 meters and pointed at the device. Replace the batteries if necessary. Avoid obstacles between the remote control and the device.
What to do in case of overheating and automatic shutdown?
Turn off the device, unplug it and eliminate the causes of overheating (obstacles, dirt). Let it cool down for 15 to 20 minutes before turning it back on.
The device emits a clicking sound, is this normal?
Yes, this noise is normal. It comes from the anti-tilt system (pendulum) which interrupts the circuit in case of a fall. This is not a defect.
Can children use the device?
Children over 8 years old can use it under supervision. Children aged 3 to 8 can only turn the device on/off if it is properly installed and under continuous supervision. Children under 3 should be kept away.
Can I use the device unattended?
It is not recommended to leave the device unattended, especially in the presence of children or pets. Always turn off the device before leaving the room.
