IMPORTANT: the Amerigo HSA Ifix child car seat is a SEMI-UNIVERSAL Group 1 restraint device, approved according to regulation R44/04 for car transportation of children weighing between 9 and 18 kg (approximately between 9 months and 4 years old).

The Amerigo HSA Ifix child car seat is a SEMI-UNIVERSAL restraint system with the ISOFIX hook system, using the 2 ISOFIX connectors and the anti-rotation system, as well as the classic hook system, using the 3-point safety belts of the car.

The Amerigo HSA Ifix child car seat is only to be used in vehicles indicated in the attached list, which is available at www.inglesina.com. If in doubt,

contact the Manufacturer or the Retailer. Verify compatibility the restraint system according to that described in the Us Maintenance Manual of your car.

ATTENTION : when the Amerigo HSA Ifix child car seat is fastened with the car's safety belts, select the seats having belts with a roller, approved according to the regulation UN/ECE 16 or other equivalent standards. If in doubt, immediately contact the Manufacturer or the authorised Retailer.

Do not use the seat for children heavier than 18Kg or where the child's shoulders go beyond the upper slots of the straps. The Amerigo HSA Ifix seat is suitable for general in-vehicle use and is compatible with most, but not all, seat types.

Check the instruction manual of the car to see in which positions the child seat can be installed. In case of doubt, contact the Manufacturer or authorised Dealer immediately.

Do not use the Amerigo HSA Ifix child car seat after 5 years from the date of production indicated on the product; due to the natural ageing of the materials, it might not be complying anymore with the regulations in force.

Do not use the Amerigo HSA Ifx child car seat if: - it was subject to accident, even to a slight one. It may have been

subject to invisible damages. The car system has to be replaced with a new one to assure the safety level.

• it is damaged, not equipped with the instruction manual, or any component is missing. Contact the Inglesina authorized Retailer or Customer Care Service immediately.
• if it is second-hand. There could be extremely dangerous structural damage.

Check to make sure that all the components of the child are properly hooked before every trip and/or if the vehicle undergone periodical tuneups, maintenance or cleaning. Someone could have tampered with and/or unhooked the car seat and repositioned it correctly according to the instructions.

Avoid inserting fingers inside mechanisms.

SAFETY BELTS

WARNING! Always secure the child with the safety straps provided.

When the seat is occupied by very small children use a reducer so that straps can be adjusted to suit the child's body.

RISK OF STRANGULATION! If the straps are very loose the c could be strangled. Never leave the child in the seat if straps are loose or unfastened.

The child's clothing should not interfere with safety straps or buckles.

USE AND INSTALLATION

CORRECT USE AND INSTALLATION CAN BE A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH. THE CHILD SEAT MUST BE INSTALLED IN STRICT COMPLIANCE WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED. FAILURE TO OBSERVE INSTRUCTIONS/WARNINGS CAN SERIOUSLY COMPROMISE YOUR CHILD'S SAFETY.

Do not place any padding between the base of the child seat and the car seat; it could place the child's safety in jeopardy.

Before assembling, verify that the product and all its components have not been subject to damages during transport. Should this be the case, do not use the product and keep it out of reach of children.

Before using the product, for the safety of your child, remove and eliminate all plastic bags and elements belonging to the packaging and, in any case, keep the same out of reach of new children.

Do not use the product, unless all its components are fastened and adjusted.

Assembly, disassembly and adjustment operations must be carried out only by adults. Make sure that the person using the (baby-sitter, grandparents, etc.) are aware of the correct operation of the same.

Do not use the child seat in positions or configurations other than those illustrated in this handbook.

CAUTION! Install the Amerigo HSA Ifix child car seat only with the back resting upon the back of the car seat and on the passenger seats facing forwards; never install the seats facing an opposite direction or sideways to normal motion.

Privilege installation on rear seats; if installed in the front, adjust the child car seat as far back as possible.

If the vehicle has a front seat airbag, scupulously comply with the provisions carried in the instruction manual of the car concerning

use and maintenance of this protective device; in any event, move the child car seat back where you wish to install the child seat. If the seat is not all the way back, we advise you deactivate the airbag. CAUTION! Activation of the airbag at too close a distance can entail serious risks for the heath of the child.

Make sure that reclining seats are blocked in vertical positions pursuant to the instruction of the car's manufacturer. During your journey, refrain from leaving unattended objects or bags in the car: make sure that they are stored securely as, in the event of an accident, they can cause injury.

Check that all straps are always fastened and tensioned Periodically check child seat straps for proper retaining performance. During your journey, all car occupants must wear a safety belt compliance with the law in force in the country of use: in case of accident, they may unintentionally injure the child, even if the seat is used properly.

Never remove the child from the seat unit when the ve moving; in case of need, stop as soon as possible in a safe place.

Check that straps with buckles are not twisted and are not trapped in the car door or the mobile parts of the child car seat.

Safe and appropriate driving behaviour is recommended: the child car seat is an effective restraint system but is not, on its own, sufficient to avoid severe injury in the event of a violent car crash. Please bear in mind that accidents, even those which occur at low speed, can be extremely dangerous for all car passengers.

Always keep the child seat fastened to the passenger seat when the former is empty. When vehicle is fully occupied lighter passengers should sit in the rear and heavier ones in the front.

Car interiors can become very hot if the vehicle is left sunlight. Cover the child seat with a towel when it is not in use to prevent its components from overheating.

During long journeys take frequent breaks as the child will tire easily. Installation help video, available on the website: www.inglesina.com.

WARRANTY / SPARE PARTS

Do not use spare parts or accessories not supplied and/or in any case not approved by L'Inglesina Baby.

Any damage caused by the use of accessories not supplied and/or not approved by L'Inglesina Baby, shall be excluded from our terms of warranty.

Never modify and tamper with the mechanical components of the Amerigo HSA Ifix car seat; there is the risk that a safe hooking of the same cannot be assured thereafter.

Any modification to the products relieves L'Inglesina Baby from any responsibility whatsoever.

Do not remove any adhesive or sewed labels; this may jeopardize the compliance of the product with regulation requirements in force.

Regularly inspect all safety devices to ensure perfect produc functionality along the time. In case of problems and/or malfunctions of any kind do not use the product. In this event, co-Authorized Retailer or Inglesina Customer Care Service promptly.

L'Inglesina Baby S.p.A. declines all liability for any damages property or people resulting from the improper and/or incorrect use of the product.

In order to improve its products, L'Inglesina Baby S.p.A. reserves the right to update and/or modify any and all aesthetic-technical details without prior notice.

Never use the child seat without the padding. This padding cannot be replaced with other paddings unapproved by the manufacturer as it is a system component.

When acting on the mobile parts of the device always pay careful attention to your child's safety.

The child seats could leave traces on the car seats, due to the measures taken to install it firmly in compliance with safety standards. product was designed to minimise this effect as much as possible. The manufacturer cannot be considered liable for eventual deriving from normal use of the child car seat.

HINTS FOR CLEANING AND MAINTAINING THE PRODUCT

Never force any mechanisms or moving parts; in case of doubt, check the instruction first.

Store the product in a dry place.

Protect the product against atmospheric agents, water, rain or snow; moreover, continuous and prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause changes in the colour of many materials.

Clean the plastic and metal parts with a wet cloth or with a detergent; do not use solvents, ammonia or benzine.

Carefully dry metal parts after any contact with water in avoid the formation of rust.

It is recommended to wash the lining separately from other items.

Periodically revive the fabric parts using a soft brush for garments.

Respect the washing regulations for the textile lining born on the suitable labels.

WARNING

Handwash in cold water.

Do not bleach.

Do not tumble dry.

Do not iron.

Do not dry clean.

Dry the textile lining completely before using or storing it.

CAUTION! Never wash the straps; just wipe them with a cloth and a gentle detergent.

INSTALLATION OF CHILD CAR SEAT IN VEHICLE

METHOD 1: ISOFIX CONNECTORS

IMPORTANT

ATTENTION! Install the Amerigo HSA Ifix child car seat only with the backrest placed on the seat back of the car and on passenger seats facing forwards. Never install it on seats facing the opposite direction or sideways to normal motion.
Privilege installation on rear seats; if installed in the front, adjust the car seat as far back as possible.
If the vehicle has a front seat airbag, scupulously comply with the provisions carried in the instruction manual of the car concerning use and maintenance of this protective device; in any event, move the car seat where you wish to install the child seat as far back as possible.
If the seat is not all the way back, we advise you deactivate the airbag.
ATTENTION! Activation of the airbag at too close a distance can entail serious risks for the heath of the child.
Verify that on the seat of the car there are not any items that may hinder the correct leaning of the Amerigo HSA Ifix child car seat.
Make sure that the back of the car seat where the child car seat is to be installed is in the upright position, properly blocked and as far back as possible.
When the child car seat is installed in rear seats, make sure to move the seat in front of it forwards, at a distance which keeps the feet of the child from being hit.

Fig. 3 In order to prepare the seat for installation, act on the 2 levers (Q) at the side of the seat's base simultaneously and push hard on the joint of the foot support (J) in order to remove both Isofix connectors (P).
Fig. 4 The Amerigo HSA Ifix child car seat has 2 guides (R) to be used if the vehicle has none, in order to position the Isofix connectors correctly (P) in line with the anchor points on the car's seat. If necessary, fasten the 2 guides (R) on the anchor points of the car's seat.

Fig. 5 Make sure that the hook indicators of the Isofix connectors (N) are red. If one or both indicators (N) are green, press the button (M) to release them.

Fig. 6 Insert the Isofix connectors (P) into the guides (R), pushing hard on the joint of the foot support (J) until you hear both distinct CLICKS.

Fig. 8 Adjust the height of the foot support (L) by acting on the relative button (O) until it touches the floor of the car. Then release the button (O), making sure the extendable part of the foot remains blocked in its position.

REMOVING THE CHILD CAR SEAT FROM THE VEHICLE

INSTALLATION OF CHILD CAR SEAT IN VEHICLE

METHOD 2: CAR SAFETY BELTS AND FOOT SUPPORT

IMPORTANT

This type of installation is allowed only if the car is equipped with 3-point seat belts with winder, approved in compliance with dard UN/ECE 16 or equivalent standards.

must only be inserted in the red strap lock (C) positioned on the side opposite the car seat buckle.

REMOVING THE CHILD CAR SEAT FROM THE VEHICLE

POSITIONING CHILD IN CAR SEAT

Fig. 35 Pull the strap (K) on the front of the child seat, adjust the straps around the body of the baby, so that are tight but not uncomfortable. The strap in between the legs (S) has a fixed position and cannot be adjusted.

ADJUSTING SAFETY STRAPS AND HEADREST

Correct adjustment of the safety straps and headrest guarantee the maximum protection for your child.

Fig. 37 Adjustment of the safety straps of this child car seat is integrated into that of the headrest. Just move the headrest upwards or downwards. In order to facilitate adjustment, first loosen the safety straps, lift or lower the rear lever (H) until you reach the best position and then release it to block the headrest.

RECLINING THE CHILD CAR SEAT

REMOVING THE LINING

It is recommended to remove the lining periodically to provide for its correct maintenance.
