1. Turn the grill casing upside down and install the 4 feet into the tips (if necessary, remove the
small rubber feet from the tips). The feet have to be directed as described on picture .
2. Install the middle plate using the screws supplied. Pay attention to position the nuts on the
internal part of the feet.
3. Turn the appliance on its feet to check its stability.
You can also use the appliance without its stand. Then you have to put the foreseen small rubber feet on the plastic feet of the appliance. In this case, place the appliance directly on a stable surface so that it does not fall. It will thus just be on its non-slip rubber feet. The grill features three possible heights for slow or fast cooking. When the grill is on the lowest level, your food will cook fast. On medium high or high level, the food will cook more slowly. To adapt the height, just insert the feet of the grill in the appropriate holes (see page 2, picture ).
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. “Cleaning and care”). It is recommended to heat up the barbecue grill for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that may have adhered during manufacture and the «new» smell. OPERATION (see page 3, picture ) THIS APPLIANCE CAN BE USED WITH OR WITHOUT ITS STAND (parts 10 and 11). Use on its stand (parts 10 and 11 assembled) This type of use is especially suitable for outdoor use but of course the appliance can also be used on its stand inside the house. When using the appliance with its stand, you have two possibilities: - Either you want to collect the gravy and you put the collecting tray in the grill casing without adding water in any of both containers. - Or you do not want to collect the gravy but you want to reduce the emission of smoke and the temperature underneath the appliance by adding water directly into the grill casing, making sure to respect the min and max level indicated. Note: it is also possible to use the appliance without water and without collecting tray, but for practical reasons, we advise you not to do so, as the emission of smoke will be important and cleaning the grill casing is not very easy (disassembling etc.).Generated by Unregistered Batch DOC TO PDF Converter 2011.3.804.1511, please register! Use on a table (parts 10 and 11 disassembled) Put the foreseen small rubber feet on the plastic feet of the appliance. In this case, the appliance is positioned on the table (indoors or outdoors) and is just standing on its small rubber feet. When using the appliance this way, it is absolutely necessary to put the collecting tray in the grill casing, and to fill it with water (minimum 0.5 l) and to make sure that this water level is maintained during use. This is necessary to limit the temperature underneath the appliance and to protect the table. In this case it is not necessary to pour water in the grill casing. However, if you want to collect the gravy, it is also possible to use the appliance without water, but the collecting tray must stay in the grill casing during the whole grilling process in order to limit the temperature underneath the appliance. USE Once you have chosen the desired way of installing the appliance, follow the instructions below: Insert the heating element onto the grill casing as described on the picture (the small horizontal slots on the sides of the thermostat must slide over the grill casing), and finally set the grill over it. Connect the appliance and switch it on using the thermostat knob. The red pilot light will come on to indicate that the appliance has been switched on. Then preheat the grill for about 5 minutes and select the cooking temperature using the thermostat knob. During cooking, the red pilot light will go off when the cooking temperature is reached. It will come on when the appliance is heating again. Now put the foodstuffs onto the grill rack. There are 3 grill positions (page 2, picture ), according to the desired cooking intensity. The grilling times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste. When grilling is finished, switch off the thermostat (position “MIN”) and disconnect the appliance. PRACTICAL HINTS Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled. When grilling big quantities, it is recommended to occasionally carefully remove the accumulated fat from the tray.
Before cleaning any domestic electrical appliance, always make sure that the plug has been removed from the mains supply socket. Allow the grill to cool down thoroughly before cleaning. Dismount all the accessories. Never immerse the heating element, the thermostat and the plug in water or liquid! Wipe them with a damp cloth and dry afterwards. Clean the grill casing, the tray and the grill rack in warm soapy water and dry afterwards. Wipe the other surfaces of the grill with a damp cloth and dry afterwards. Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners.
