IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance. Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use. Keep out of reach of children or incompetent persons. From time to time check the cord for damages. Make sure to place the barbecue on a flat and smooth floor in order to avoid any kind of instability, which could cause the appliance to fall. Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning or storing it. Only cook consumable food. It is absolutely necessary to always keep this appliance clean as it comes into contact with food. Make sure the cord never comes into contact with the hot parts of the appliance. The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be very high when the appliance is in use. Never touch these surfaces and make use of the handles. Always use gauntlets when handling the appliance. Make sure nothing comes into contact with the heating element of the appliance. Make sure the hot parts of the appliance never come into contact with inflammable materials, such as curtains, cloth, etc... when it is in use, as a fire might occur. Unplug the appliance when not in use. Before using the appliance always check the water level in the water tank. This water is indispensable as it is used for the cooling of the appliance. Before filling the water tank, always unplug the appliance. Never spill water on the heating element and do not exceed the maximum water level indicated in the water tank. Never use fuels such as charcoal, combustibles, stimulating liquids for regular barbecues, ... to increase or speed up the temperature. The only source of heat of this appliance is its heating resistor. Do not add anything else. Do not cover the appliance with anything. Be extremely cautious as oil and fat preparations might catch fire if overheated. NEVER USE THE APPLIANCE WITHOUT ASSEMBLING THE FEET.

UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY) This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour coded: blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth. The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black. The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red. The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (& yellow). MOUNTING (see page 2, picture )

1. Turn the grill casing upside down and install the 4 feet into the rubber tips. The feet have to

be directed as described on picture .

2. Install the middle plate using the screws supplied. Pay attention to position the nuts on the

external part of the feet.

3. Turn the appliance on its feet to check its stability.

Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. CARE AND CLEANING). It is recommended to heat up the barbecue grill for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that may have adhered during manufacture and the «new» smell. OPERATION (see page 3, picture ) CAUTION : NEVER USE THE APPLIANCE WITHOUT ASSEMBLING THE FEET. THIS BARBECUE GRILL IS DESIGNED FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. WHEN ASSEMBLED WITH THE FEET, STAND IT ON A FLAT AND SMOOTH FLOOR. Place the collecting tray into the grill casing. Fill the tray with 1,5 litre of water. The water in the tray will evaporate during use. It is therefore necessary to refill water from time to time. Do not spill water on the heating element, as this could be dangerous. Then insert the heating element into the grill casing as described on the picture , and finally set the grill over it. Connect the appliance and switch it on using the thermostat knob. The red pilot light will come to indicate that the appliance has been switched on. Then preheat the grill for about 5 minutes and select the cooking temperature using the thermostat knob. During cooking, the red pilot light will go off when the cooking temperature is reached. Now put the foodstuffs onto the grill rack. There are 3 grill positions (see page 2, picture ), according to the desired cooking intensity. The grilling times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste. When grilling is finished switch off the thermostat and disconnect the appliance.Copies of the I/B. PRACTICAL HINTS Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled. When grilling big quantities, it is recommended to occasionally carefully remove the accumulated fat from the tray.

Before cleaning any domestic electrical appliance, always make sure that the plug has been removed from the mains supply socket. Allow the grill to cool down thoroughly before cleaning. Dismount all the accessories. Never immerse the heating element, the thermostat and the plug in water or liquid! Wipe them with a damp cloth and dry afterwards. Clean the grill casing, the tray and the grill rack in warm soapy water and dry afterwards. Wipe the other surfaces of the grill with a damp cloth and dry afterwards.
