Never use fuels such as charcoal, combustibles, stimulating liquids for regular barbecues, to increase or speed up the temperature. The only source of heat of this appliance is its heating resistor. Do not add anything else. Do not cover the appliance with anything. Be extremely cautious as oil and fat preparations might catch fire if overheated. 1. Turn the grill casing (7) upside down and install the 4 feet (8). Therefore, put the feet on the
structures foreseen underneath the grill casing and turn them a quarter of a turn anticlockwise. Make sure they are fixed properly.
2. Attach the middle plate (11) to the appliance's feet (9) using the screws supplied (10). Pay
attention to position the nuts on the external part of the feet.
3. Put the grill casing (7) on the appliance's feet (9) in such way that the feet of the appliance
fit into the grill casing's feet (8). Note: this appliance can also be used without stand, but the feet of the grill casing (8) must always be assembled.
Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. CLEANING AND CARE). It is recommended to heat up the barbecue grill for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that may have adhered during manufacture. OPERATION (see page 3, picture B) CAUTION : NEVER USE THE APPLIANCE WITHOUT ASSEMBLING THE SMALL FEET (8). WHEN ASSEMBLED WITH THE FEET, STAND IT ON A FLAT AND LEVEL SURFACE. Place the aluminium collecting tray (6) into the grill casing(7). Fill the aluminium tray with water. Caution! The water in the tray will evaporate during use. It is therefore necessary to refill water from time to time. Do not spill water on the heating element, as this could be dangerous. Then insert the heating element (3) and thermostat (5) by sliding the notch of the thermostat along the front edge of the grill casing, and inserting the metal bars of the heating element in the openings of the grill casing foreseen to that effect. If necessary, install the windshield (1) by inserting its pins in the openings foreseen on the grill casing. Put the grill rack (2) on the grill casing. There are 3 grill positions (see page 3, picture B), according to the desired cooking intensity. Connect the appliance and turn the thermostat knob to the desired position. The pilot light (4) will come on, indicating that the appliance is heating. When the desired temperature is reached, the pilot light will go out.
