4. Turn the grill casing upside down and install the 4 feet into the holes foreseen to that end.

5. Turn the appliance on its feet to check its stability. You can use the handles of the stand to

move the appliance. You can also use the appliance without its feet. In this case, place it directly on a stable surface so that it does not fall. It will thus just be on its non-slip rubber feet. The grill features three possible heights for slow or fast cooking. When the grill is on the lowest level, your food will cook fast. On medium high or high level, the food will cook more slowly. To adapt the height, just insert the feet of the grill in the appropriate holes.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

Clean the grill and the accessories (Cf. Cleaning and care). It is recommended to heat up the barbecue grill for about 10 minutes without any foodstuff in order to eliminate the grease that may have adhered during manufacture and the «new» smell. OPERATION THIS APPLIANCE CAN BE USED WITH OR WITHOUT ITS STAND (parts 10 and 11). Use on its stand (parts 10 and 11 assembled) : This type of use is especially suitable for outdoor use but of course the appliance can also be used on its stand inside the house. Use on a table (parts 10 and 11 disassembled) : In this case, the appliance is positioned on the table (indoors or outdoors) and is just standing on its small rubber feet. IN BOTH CASES - WITH OR WITHOUT STAND - IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY TO FILL THE COLLECTING CONTAINER WITH WATER (MINIMUM 0.5 L, MAXIMUM 1.5L) AND TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS WATER LEVEL IS MAINTAINED DURING USE. THIS IS NECESSARY TO LIMIT THE TEMPERATURE UNDERNEATH THE APPLIANCE AND TO PROTECT THE TABLE.Generated by Unregistered Batch DOC TO PDF Converter 2011.3.804.1511, please register! Copies of the I/B. HEAT-REFLECTING LID The appliance has a heat-reflecting lid which helps cooking. If you put it in an upright position, it serves as a windshield and thus helps reaching the desired temperature. If you put it in a closed position, it serves as a heat reflector during the cooking process: it reflects the heat which comes from the heating element and thus helps reaching the desired temperature and decreasing the cooking time. CAUTION: Using the appliance with the lid closed will make the grilling faster, so it is necessary to carefully check the grilling process. After use, the appliance will cool down and you can close the lid to store the appliance safely. Note: You can also use the appliance without the heat-reflecting lid. Therefore, you just have to pull the lid carefully out of the appliance. CAUTION: The temperature of the accessible surfaces (handle of the lid, handle of the grill rack…) may be very high when the appliance is in use. Never touch these surfaces and make use of the handles. Always use gauntlets when handling the appliance. Make sure nothing comes into contact with the heating element of the appliance. USE Once you have chosen the desired way of installing the appliance, follow the instructions below: Insert the heating element into the grill casing as described on page 2, and finally set the grill over it. Connect the appliance (the green pilot light will go on). Then preheat the grill for about 5 minutes and select the cooking temperature using the thermostat knob. During cooking, the red pilot light will go off when the cooking temperature is reached. It will come on when the appliance is heating. Now put the foodstuffs onto the grill rack. There are 3 grill positions, according to the desired cooking intensity. The grilling times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and according to your personal taste. When grilling is finished, switch off the thermostat and disconnect the appliance. PRACTICAL HINTS Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled. When grilling big quantities, it is recommended to occasionally remove the accumulated fat from the tray in a careful manner. On the front side of the appliance there is a drawer which is useful for storage purposes.

Before cleaning any domestic electrical appliance, always make sure that the plug has been removed from the mains supply socket. Allow the grill to cool down thoroughly before cleaning. Dismount all the accessories. Never immerse the heating element, the thermostat and the plug in water or liquid! Wipe them with a damp cloth and dry afterwards. Clean the grill casing, the tray and the grill rack in warm soapy water and dry afterwards. Wipe the other surfaces of the grill with a damp cloth and dry afterwards.Generated by Unregistered Batch DOC TO PDF Converter 2011.3.804.1511, please register! Copies of the I/B.
