  • Choose the mains adapter plug, depending on the location of usage.
  • Slide the adapter plug in the back of the charger until it snaps into place (refer to the picture on page 2 of this manual), or plug the connector of the included car cable in connector [C].
  • Plug the charger in the mains or plug the cigar lighter plug in the car receptacle. The status LED [A] flashes once (red).
  • Select the number of batteries to be charged with the selector [D].VL1237 00 (22/10/2008) 6 Velleman
  • Insert the batteries in the charger. When charging only 2 batteries, these batteries must be inserted in the 2 slots on the left.

Only charge 2 or 4 batteries simultaneously, the charger will not work with 1 or 3 batteries inserted. Only charge batteries of the same type with the same capacity simultaneously. Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries!

  • After inserting the batteries, fast charging mode starts. An indication of the expected charging times is given in table 1 on page 3 of this manual.
  • During charging, the status LED [A] will be red.
  • When batteries are fully charged, the status LED [A] turns green.
  • When batteries are full or the predetermined charging time (6h) expires, the charger goes in maintenance mode. A small current maintains the voltage level of the batteries (see table 2 on page 3).
  • To discharge the batteries, press on the discharge button [B]. The status LED [A] turns yellow during discharge mode. Pressing again on the discharge button [B] will interrupt the discharge process and continue the normal charging of the batteries.
  • When batteries are completely discharged, the status LED [A] will turn red and the fast charge process start.
  • When batteries are full or the charger is not in use, disconnect the charger from the mains or car cigar plug. Remove the batteries from the charger.
