IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance. Only use the appliance in the way indicated in this instruction manual. This kind of appliance cannot function continuously; it is not a professional type of appliance. It is necessary to make temporary stops. Check the section "Important information" in the instruction manual. It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food. Make sure the appliance is unplugged before inserting, removing or cleaning one of the accessories. It is absolutely necessary to remove the accessories before cleaning them. If your appliance is equipped with a stick mixer, be careful not to get cut, handle it with care, as the blade of this accessory is extremely sharp. Make sure the accessory is always solidly and correctly tightened at the motor bloc before starting the appliance. Make sure your hands and/or any kind of utensil stay clear of the recipient when the appliance is in use in order to avoid serious injuries. When mixing warm liquid, be particularly careful as a projection of warm liquid could cause serious burns. The appliance is designed for the preparation of small quantities of food that have to be consumed rather quickly. It is not designed for the preparation of large quantities at once. Never touch the blade when the appliance is in use. Furthermore, never try to stop the movement of the blade in any way whatsoever. Never use several accessories simultaneously.

Competent qualified electrician: after sales department of the producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician. IMPORTANT INFORMATION This appliance is not for professional use. You should follow the requested breaks. Failure to follow this instruction carefully may result in damage to the motor. Please refer to the rating label for the maximum continuous usage time (KB xx min where xx is the maximum usage time). The breaks should last at least 10 minutes. ASSEMBLING

• Make sure that the switch is in "0" position, and that the appliance is unplugged.

• Beaters/Hooks: Insert the beaters/hooks under the body of the mixer and turn slightly until you hear a clicking sound.

• When mounting the hooks, watch the mark next to the openings. Large circle – dough hook with ring.

• Press the ejection button on top of the mixer to release accessories. Assembling the mixer on the base and bowl

• Make sure that the appliance is switched off and unplugged from the power supply.

• Put the arm of the base in horizontal position and slot the appliance into it. By pushing on the back of the appliance, the appliance can be fixed tightly onto the arm of the base.

• Press the release button of the base and bring the arm of the base together with the appliance in a oblique position. Tip the arm of the base as far as you can until you hear a click. Now you can insert the accessories (dough hooks or beaters). Please make sure to insert the dough hooks correctly (see drawing next to the openings).

• Put the arm of the base back in its horizontal position by pressing its release button again.

• You can now plug in the appliance and select a lower speed. The bowl turns automatically. Assembling the stick attachment

• Place the switch to the position “0” and unplug the appliance.

• Pay attention that the other accessories are to be removed from the appliance.

• Open the valve on the bottom of the appliance. Then you will see the opening for the stick attachment

• Place the stick attachment in the opening so that both shafts, the one on the appliance and the other one on the stick attachment are facing each other. Turn the stick attachment 90° clockwise until it stops.

• To disassemble the stick attachment, switch off the appliance and unplug it.

• Turn the stick attachment anticlockwise and take it away from the appliance. And then replace the valve on the opening at the bottom of the appliance.

USE OF THE STICK ATTACHMENT

The stick attachment can be used to: − mix liquids (milk, juice, yoghurt …) − blend soup or tomatoes − make mayonnaise, remolade.

Put the bowl on the scale. In the back, under the bowl of the scale, you will find a set wheel. You can adjust the zero position of the scale indication by turning this wheel. Remove the bowl of the scale after use, press the support of the bowl down and slide the scale into the base. CLEANING

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning it.

• Remove the accessories before washing them in soap water.

• Wipe the outside with only a slightly moistened cloth, ensuring that no moisture enters the cooling slots.

• Do not clean with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool, as this will damage the finish.

• Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
