What to do if the watch does not display heart rate?
Check that the conductive strips on the back of the transmitter are clean and well moistened (ECG gel or saliva). Make sure the chest strap is positioned correctly below the pectoral muscles (men) or below the chest (women). Move away from sources of interference (high voltage lines, etc.). Check the transmitter battery.

How to change the battery of the watch or transmitter?
Battery replacement must be done by a specialized dealer to guarantee water resistance and proper operation. The watch uses a CR2025 or DL2025 battery, the transmitter uses a CR2032 or DL2032. After a change, the KCAL factor resets to 00069 and must be reprogrammed.
Is the watch waterproof? Can I swim with it?
Yes, the watch and transmitter are waterproof up to 3 meters depth. However, buttons should not be used underwater and use in seawater is not recommended as it may cause malfunctions.
How to activate or deactivate the training zone audible alarm?
Press the ALARM button. A bell icon appears to indicate that the audible alarm is activated. It will sound if your heart rate exceeds the programmed high or low limit. Press ALARM again to deactivate the alarm (the bell disappears).
What do the displays Hi, Lo and In mean?
These displays correspond to time spent in the training zones: Hi = time above the high limit, Lo = time below the low limit, In = time in the target zone. They are only active when the stopwatch is running. Reset is done by resetting the stopwatch.
How to reset the average (AVG) or maximum (MAX) heart rate?
To reset AVG or MAX, press MENU to access the corresponding screen (AVG then SUBMENU for MAX), then hold the SET button for 2 seconds until the value resets.

II. Explaining and setting the training functions

The heart rate (Hr) is displayed in beats per minute.

1. Maximum Heart Rate- Maximum test

The maximum heart rate Hr MAX is your present maximum heart rate if you go to the limits of your capability.

The individual Hr max depends on your age, your sex and your fitness level. The best way to determine the individual Hr max is a stress test.

We recommend you to see a doctor to do this test and to repeat it regularly.

The Hr max may also be estimated by means of the following mathematical equation.

Men: 210 - half age - (0.11 x personal weight + 4)

Women: 210 - half age - (0.11 x personal weight)

2. The right heart rate for training

The training zone is the variation of the heart rate you want to train in for effective training

An indication is:

65% of the Hr max is your lower limit for training and 80% of the Hr max should be your top limit. You can find out your estimated heart rate zone looking at the chart in accordance with your goals.
