for 1 h Total 0.46 0.46 When choosing dishes and pans Take your oven's internal measurements into account. Before using for the first time Unpack accessories, then wash and wipe them. Run your appliance empty with the door open turning the thermostat button to 280°C for 15 min. to eliminate the smell of newness. Getting to know your oven Thermostat This allows you to set the temperature from about 100°C to about 280°C. You can change your settings during cooking. You can set the cooking time from 10 to 120 minutes. When the programmed time has finished, the buzzer sounds and the oven stops automatically. You can interrupt cooking at any moment by returning the timer to zero. For times of less than 25 minutes, turn the button to 30 minutes and then turn it back to the time you want. On/Off Button (AHJ1 Model) All you have to do is turn the button to start or stop the appliance. Position “I” : the oven is functioning, the light comes on. Position “O” : the oven is off. Reversible shelf You can position the rack at 3 different heights. By turning it over, you have 3 more levels.

Place the dish containing the food in the oven and close the door. Set the thermostat to the temperature you want. Set the timer* or turn the On/Off button to “I”*. The oven heats. At the end of cooking The appliance stops automatically as soon as the timer sounds, or if you turn the On/Off button to “O”. Do not put dishes directly onto the hinged bottom heating element. Grill setting For Browning and Cooking Meat Turn the thermostat to the GRILL position. Preheat your oven for 5 minutes. Place food on the rack at the closest possible level to the grill’s heating element. Place a plate containing a little water directly onto on the bottom heating element (this does not heat in the grill position), in order to collect the grease or cooking juices. Set the timer* or turn the On/Off button to “I”*. Always leave the door ajar. The grill is functioning. Watch your foods and turn them over half-way through cooking if necessary. At the end of cooking The appliance stops automatically as soon as the timer* sounds, or if you turn the On/Off button to “O”. Maintenance and cleaning Do not let fat build up in the appliance. Before any maintenance or cleaning, unplug the oven and let it cool. Clean the door, handle and external enamelled or lacquered surfaces with warm water and cloth. Dry. Do not use harsh cleaning products (particularly caustic soda compounds), or scouring sponges or abrasive pads. To make cleaning easy Remove grease splashes with a sponge dampened in hot soapy water, rinse and wipe carefully. The bottom grill element can be raised in order to facilitate the cleaning of your oven. Never force to manipulate the bottom grill element. All accessories (grill, baking tray) are washed in water with added detergent.

- Bearing in mind the diversity of standards in force, if this appliance is used in a different country from the one in which it was bought, have it checked by an approved service centre.
- Do not place the appliance close to a heat source.
- Check that mains voltage is that shown on the appliance (alterna- ting current only). This appliance must be earthed.
- Do not let the cord hang down or touch hot parts of the oven. Do not disconnect the appliance by pulling on the cord.
- Always use an earthed plug to connect the appliance.
- Only use an extension lead that is in good condition, with an ear- thed plug and with a power cable at least equivalent to the cord supplied with the product.
- Make sure that the electrical installation is sufficient for supplying an appliance of this wattage.
- The temperature of the door and outside surface may be high when the appliance is in operation. Use the handles and knobs. Use oven gloves when necessary.
- So as to avoid electric shocks, do not immerse the electric cord, plug or appliance in water or any other liquid.
- If any part of the product should catch fire, do not attempt to extin- guish with water. Smother flames on the outside of the product with a damp cloth. Never try to open the oven door if the oven is on fire.
- Do not keep flammable products close to or under the unit where the appliance is placed.
- Do not use the appliance if : - it has a faulty cord, - the appliance has fallen, shows visible damage or does not func- tion correctly. In this case, the appliance must be sent to the nearest approved after-sales service centre so as to avoid any danger.
- Do not operate the appliance under a wall unit, shelf or close to flammable materials such as blinds, curtains, drapes, etc.
- Do not use the appliance as a source of heat.
- Never put paper, cardboard or plastic in the appliance and do not place anything on top (utensils, things, etc.).
- Do not put anything into the ventilation vents, or obstruct them.
- For your own safety, never dismantle the appliance yourself, call in an approved service centre.
