Disposal Cardboard box and packaging You have opted for a durable and technically sophisticated product. In line with national regulations regarding the disposal of packaging materials, we pay a fee to authorised recyclers who collect packaging from dealers. However, we recommend that you keep the original cardboard box and the rest of the pa- ckaging materials so that the unit can, if necessary, be transported in the safest possible conditions. Old electronic appliances must therefore be disposed of sepa- rately. Never throw this set in the normal domestic waste. You can hand in your old set free of charge at identifi ed collection points or at your dealer if you buy a similar new set. • Manipulations inside the set Do not place objects containing liquids on top of the unit. Candles and other open fl ames must be kept away from the unit at all times to prevent the spread of fi re. Your Individual Sound Universal Speaker loudspeakers have been designed exclusively for private domestic use. Warranty services cover this use for the intended purpose. If you have moved the loudspeakers out of the cold into a warm environment, leave them switched off for about an hour to avoid any possible formation of condensation. Use the loudspeakers only when they have acclimatised to room temperature. This avoids seriously damaging the components. Installing the loudspeakers Basic information

• Place the loudspeakers on a stable, fl at surface or use the optional Loewe wall mountings.

• Lay the speaker cables in such a way that they cannot be damaged.

• The speakers generate magnetic dispersion fi elds which act in the vicinity of the housing. We recommend a minimum distance of > 0.5 m from magnet- ically sensitive equipment such as CRT-TV sets, magnetic data media etc. Loudspeakers Use the wall mountings that we can supply as accessories, or position the spea- kers at the appropriate height on pieces of furniture or shelves. For the best possible audio experience the loudspeakers should be installed symmetrically with respect to your sitting position - see the pictures on the following page. If this should not be possible, correct the level of the loudspeakers using the Multiroom Receiver’s confi guration menu. • Please refer to the directions in the assembly instructions.

• Connect the loudspeaker to the amplifier, in this case, for example, the Loewe Multiroom Receiver. When doing this take care that the polarities of the connecting lines are correct.

• On the Universal loudspeaker the positive pole on the terminal screw is marked red; the negative pole on the terminal screw is marked black.
