How to connect the Individual Sound Universal Speaker speakers?

Connect each speaker to the amplifier (e.g., Loewe Multiroom Receiver) respecting polarity: red terminal for positive (+), black for negative (-). Use the supplied cables (6 m each). For the Multiroom Receiver, outputs are marked L+ / L- (left) and R+ / R- (right).

What is the maximum power supported by these speakers?

The nominal power is 50 W (RMS) and the maximum music power is 85 W. Impedance is 8 Ohms.

Can I use these speakers with an amplifier other than Loewe?

Yes, they can be used as passive speakers with any suitable amplifier (8 Ohm impedance, compatible power). They are also compatible with Individual Sound Subwoofer systems.

How to clean the Individual Sound Universal Speaker speakers?

Use a damp, soft, clean cloth, without any corrosive cleaning products. Avoid contact with liquids.

The Individual Sound Universal Speakers are adapted for the Loewe Individual Sound Multiroom Receiver and Individual Sound Subwoofer systems but can also be used with other devices as passive speakers on their own or with a subwoofer thanks to their excellent broadband frequency response.

Disposal

Cardboard box and packaging

You have opted for a durable and technically sophisticated product. In line with national regulations regarding the disposal of packaging materials, we pay a fee to authorised recyclers who collect packaging from dealers. However, we recommend that you keep the original cardboard box and the rest of the packaging materials so that the unit can, if necessary, be transported in the safest possible conditions.

Important: The EU Directive 2002/96/EG governs the proper re-acceptance, handling and recycling of used electronic appliances.

Old electronic appliances must therefore be disposed of separately. Never throw this set in the normal domestic waste. You can hand in your old set free of charge at identified collection points or at your dealer if you buy a similar new set. Other details about re-acceptance (also for non-EU.

For your safety and to avoid unnecessary damage to your TV set, please read and observe the following safety instructions:

- Your Individual Sound Universal Speaker loudspeakers are designed exclusively for the reproduction of audio signals.

Protect the loudspeakers from ...

• Water, dampness, dripping or sprayed water or steam
- Knocks and mechanical stresses
• Magnetic and electrical fi elds
• Higher electrical powers than specified
• Cold, heat, direct sunlight and extreme temperature variations
- Dust
• Covering which obstructs air circulation
• Manipulations inside the set

Do not place objects containing liquids on top of the unit.

Candles and other open flames must be kept away from the unit at all times to prevent the spread of fire.

Your Individual Sound Universal Speaker loudspeakers have been designed exclusively for private domestic use. Warranty services cover this use for the intended purpose.

If you have moved the loudspeakers out of the cold into a warm environment, leave them switched off for about an hour to avoid any possible formation of condensation. Use the loudspeakers only when they have acclimatised to room temperature. This avoids seriously damaging the components.

Installing the loudspeakers

Basic information

• Place the loudspeakers on a stable, flat surface or use the optional Loewe wall mountings.
• Lay the speaker cables in such a way that they cannot be damaged.
• The speakers generate magnetic dispersion fields which act in the vicinity of the housing. We recommend a minimum distance of >0.5m from magnetically sensitive equipment such as CRT-TV sets, magnetic data media etc.

Loudspeakers

Use the wall mountings that we can supply as accessories, or position the speakers at the appropriate height on pieces of furniture or shelves.

For the best possible audio experience the loudspeakers should be installed symmetrically with respect to your sitting position - see the pictures on the following page.

If this should not be possible, correct the level of the loudspeakers using the Multiroom Receiver's configuration menu.

Wiring of Individual Sound Universal Speaker – Individual Sound Multiroom Receiver

• Please refer to the directions in the assembly instructions.
• Connect the loudspeaker to the amplifier, in this case, for example, the Loewe Multiroom Receiver. When doing this take care that the polarities of the connecting lines are correct.
• On the Universal loudspeaker the positive pole on the terminal screw is marked red; the negative pole on the terminal screw is marked black.
• On the Multiroom Receiver the connection for the right-hand loudspeaker is identified by R+ (red) / R− (black) and that for the left hand loudspeaker by L+ (red) / L− (black).
