A Shiatsu massage is both relaxing and energising. It provides relief for knots and muscular tension, and improves blood circulation.

The Terraillon Shiatsu massage imitates the movement of two expert kneading hands, alternating light rotations with deeper pressure movements.

Carefully read all the instructions before use. Retain this user manual for easy reference at a later date.

WARNING

• This appliance must solely be used for the purpose for which it was designed and only used according to the instructions described in this user manual. Any other use is inappropriate and therefore dangerous.
• Check that the electrical system is compatible with the power and voltage indicated.
• Excessive use may cause the appliance to overheat and shorten its serviceable life. If the appliance overheats, make sure sufficient time has elapsed to allow it to cool down between each use.
• Do not operate the appliance under a cover or a cushion, as this could cause it to overheat, leading to a risk of fire, electrocution or bodily harm.
• Do not use the device outdoors.
• This device should not be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental ability, or by persons without experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised by someone responsible for their safety and able to instruct them as to how to use the device.
  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
• Disconnect the plug from the mains when it is not in use.
• If the electrical appliance falls into water or any other liquid, do not attempt to retrieve it and immediately disconnect the power supply. Do not operate the appliance in conditions of extreme humidity.
• Do not operate the appliance in areas where aerosol products (sprays) are used or where oxygen is administered.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
• Never switch the appliance on if the cord or the connector is damaged or faulty, or if the appliance has fallen down or is broken.
• If the appliance breakdowns and/or is faulty, switch it off immediately.
• Do not attempt to repair the appliance. None of the components can be repaired by the user.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the power socket after using it or before cleaning it. To switch off the appliance, press the button then remove the plug from the socket.
• Do not pull on the power supply lead or the appliance when removing the plug.
• Do not carry the appliance using the power lead.

• People with health problems, pacemaker wearers or pregnant women must seek medical advice before using the appliance.
• Children, people with disabilities or persons with poor circulation or suffering from sensory deprivation should not use the appliance.
• Persons suffering from any physical disorder that prevents them from using the remote control correctly should not use the appliance.
• If any discomfort is experienced when using the appliance, stop using it and seek medical advice.
• This appliance is intended for domestic non-professional use. It should not be used as a substitution for medical treatment.
• Do not exceed the recommended time limits.
• Do not use the appliance before going to bed. Massages have a stimulating effect and this may delay sleep.

DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT

The Shiatsu massager is delivered with a screw located at the rear of the appliance to protect the mechanism during transport.

1. This screw MUST be removed using the Allen key supplied before using the massager for the first time.

CAUTION!

Using the appliance without having removed the screw may cause serious damage.

1. Attach the massager to a chair using the straps located behind the appliance. Check that the appliance if fitted securely to the chair.
2. Connect the power cord to the mains.

OPERATION

1. Sit on the massager then press ^ on the remote control to start up the appliance (red light illuminated).
2. Select the massage program required by pressing the corresponding button (see remote control diagram).

Shiatsu massage:

Using the remote control, select the massage area.

• press the FULL BACK button for a full Shiatsu back massage
• press the UPPER BACK button for an upper back Shiatsu massage
• press the LOWER BACK button for a lower back Shiatsu massage

SWITCHING OFF THE APPLIANCE

To stop the appliance, press the button. The red light flashes until the massage mechanism returns to its initial position at the base of the chair, then the red light turns off.

For your safety, this appliance automatically switches off after 15 minutes, which is the maximum recommended time limit for this type of massage.

However, you should always try to remember to switch off the appliance and disconnect it after use.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

• Disconnect the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning it. Use a slightly damp cloth or sponge.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water. Do not use solvents.
• Avoid excessive impacts to the appliance, such as dropping it on the ground.
• Store the appliance in its box, and keep it in a cool and dry place.
• Do not compress the appliance. Do not fold excessively.
• Do not hang it by its power lead.

WARRANTY

This product is guaranteed against defective manufacturing and materials. For the duration of the warranty period, such defects shall be repaired free of charge (proof of purchase must be presented for claims made during the period of the warranty). This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accidents, inappropriate use, or negligence. In the event of a claim, please contact the store where you bought the item first.
