Read these instructions for use carefully before using the appliance and save them for future
◗ This toaster oven is intended for household use only. If the appliance is used improperly or
for professional or semi-professional purposes or if it is used in a way that is not in
accordance with the instructions for use, the guarantee will become invalid and Philips will
not accept liability for any damage caused.
◗ Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance corresponds to the local mains
voltage before you connect the appliance.
◗ Only connect the appliance to an earthed wall socket.
◗ Do not use the appliance if the plug or the cord is damaged.
◗ If the mains cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by
Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
◗ Never let the toaster oven operate unattended.
◗ Avoid touching the glass window and the metal parts of the toaster oven, as they will be
very hot during and after use.
◗ Do not let the mains cord hang over the edge of the table or worktop on which the
appliance is standing and keep the cord away from the hot surfaces of the appliance.
◗ Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
◗ Do not put anything on top of the toaster oven.
◗ Always place the appliance on a stable, level and horizontal surface.
◗ Do not place the toaster oven on or near combustible materials such as a tablecloth or

1 Remove any stickers and wipe the body of the appliance with a moist cloth.
2 Clean the baking tray in warm water with some washing-up liquid.

any dust that may have accumulated on the heating elements during storage.
How to use the toaster oven
1 Place the appliance on a stable, level and horizontal surface, away from combustible materials
such as a curtain or tablecloth and with sufficient free space on the sides, the back and the

3 Make sure the timer knob has been set to 0 before you put the plug in the wall socket

◗ When the set cooking time has elapsed, you will hear a bell and the appliance is switched off

preset cooking time, turn the timer knob to 0 to switch the appliance off (fig. 10).

The toaster oven can toast up to 4 slices of bread at a time. Use the wire rack for toasting bread.

6 Cook until the food is defrosted. The time required depends on the food type and size.
7 Remove the defrosted food and turn the timer knob to 0.
To avoid defrosted food from going bad, it should be refrigerated or fully cooked after

Never immerse the appliance in water.
1 Wipe the inside and outside of the toaster oven with a moist cloth.
2 Unhook the wire rack and clean it in warm water with some washing-up liquid. Wipe it dry
with a cloth before placing it back into the toaster oven (fig. 12).
3 Clean the baking tray in warm water with some washing-up liquid or in the dishwasher. If
food particles or juices have caked onto the tray, let it soak in hot water for a while before
you start cleaning it.
4 Slide the crumb tray out of the appliance and remove the crumbs with a dry or moist cloth
Make sure that all accessories are dry before you put them back into the toaster oven.
Make sure the appliance is completely dry before you start using it again.
◗ Do not throw the appliance away with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but
hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this you will help to preserve
the environment (fig. 14).
