1. Proper use

With this rechargeable heat belt you can provide pleasant warmth to your lumbar, back and shoulder area. While doing so you can enjoy complete freedom of movement and a customized, comfortable fit in all your activities at home and on the go. The device is intended exclusively for domestic use, not for commercial applications or the use in hospitals or medical offices. In order to be able to utilize all the benefits of your electric warming device, please thoroughly read these instructions and observe the notes on care and safety. You will then be able to enjoy this device for a long time.

Please store these instructions for further use or in case you hand this device over to another person.

2. Safety information

Some basic safety information must be observed when handling electronic devices:

1. Always use the heat belt as described in this manual.

2. Never store or charge the heat belt outdoors.

3. Use only the original operating element of Soehnle. Using other operating units, which are not recommended by the manufacturer, may void the guarantee.

4. Do not operate the charger with wet or damp hands.

5. Never insert any objects into the ventilation openings of the charger.

6. The heat belt is not a toy!

7. Never apply heat belt to helpless, infants or heat-sensitive individuals.

8. The heat belt is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are being supervised by a person responsible for their safety or

have received instructions from such person concerning use of the product.

1. Never use the heat belt while folded, wrinkled, or pushed together.

1. Inspect that all components of the product are in a faultless condition prior to each start-up of the product. Repairs must be performed exclusively by authorized customer service technicians. Never open the main unit yourself. The individual components of this product may not be disassembled, repaired or modified.

2. Use the product only in dry conditions and with a dry body – never in the bathtub, shower, above filled sinks, in pools, saunas, or during rain.

1. Do not insert any needles or pointy objects into the heat belt.

1. If you suffer from a medical problem (e.g. varicose veins, thrombosis, etc.), consult a doctor prior to using the product.

2. Never use the product with open wounds, burns, hematoma, swellings, or similar conditions.

3. Stop treatment if it feels uncomfortable to you. Heat-sensitive persons in particular should use the product with care and interrupt the treatment in a timely manner.

4. Use only the original charger Modell RSS1001-135090-W2E-B to charge the rechargeable battery in the operating element.

5. The rechargeable battery of the heat belt must be fully charged prior to initial use (see start-up operation/charging the battery).

6. After charging, always disconnect the charger from the power outlet and the operating element.

7. Disconnect the charger and the operating element from the power network prior to cleaning or maintenance.

8. Do not open or disassemble the operating element or drop it from a great height.

9. Protect the rechargeable battery in the operating element-from short circuits - risk of explosion in case of short circuit.

10. Protect operating element from rain; do not submerge it in liquids - risk of short circuit.

11. Protect the operating element from direct sun exposure, heat, and fire.

12. Never throw the operating element into fire - risk of explosion!

13. Do not use deformed or defective operating element.

14. Corrosive liquids may escape in case of damage. Avoid contact.

15. Contact may cause skin irritation, burns, and chemical burns.

16. Obtain medical help in case of eye contact with the liquid.

17. Do not inhale possibly created or released vapours - they might be corrosive.

18. If you dispose of the product at any one point in time, please cut off the cable to make it useless.

5. Start-up operation

Charging the rechargeable battery

The rechargeable battery in the operating element must be charged for at least 3-4 hours prior to first use or after not having been used for a long time. The rechargeable heat belt is designed for 1.5 -4 hours of use. The rechargeable battery must be recharged after that time. Always load the rechargeable battery at room temperature.

To do this, first connect the charger to a power outlet and then connect it to the operating element. The rechargeable battery is completely charged if the green LED (1) lights up. Disconnect the charger from the power network and the operating element from the charger.

Readiness for operation

Connect the plug of the heat belt to the operating element and insert the rechargeable battery into in the designated pocket. Set the desired heat level (1-4) by pushing repeatedly.

Note: This heat belt is equipped with an integrated temperature control that regulates the temperature automatically and keeps the heat at a constant level. The temperature of the heat belt corresponds to the maximum permissible value of the applicable IEC regulation regarding user safety. The device will generate a mild heat that has no harmful effects.

The electric heating pad shuts off automatically after 100 minutes of continuous use. In order to switch the heating pad back on, switch to the desired temperature.

Attention: Please ensure that the heat belt sits loosely, i.e. some air circulates between the heat belt and your skin during use. Accumulation of heat must be prevented.

6. Cleaning and care

The rechargeable heat belt can be washed by hand or in the washing machine using the delicate cycle at 40^ C (spin cycle 600 rpm).

• The rechargeable battery cannot be washed.
• Close the hook-and-loop fasteners
• Wash separately or with like colours
• Do not iron
• Do not dry-clean
• Do not dry in dryer

7. Storage and periodic inspection

• Do not wrinkle the product. Fold the product carefully for storage.
• Store the heat belt in a dry location when it is not in use.
• Let the device cool off prior to folding or rolling it up.
• Inspect the product and power cord of the charger regularly for possible signs of wear or damage.
• Never place any heavy objects on top of the product as these could damage the electric wires.
• In case of wear or malfunction of the product, please return it to your seller.

8. Notifications

LED 3 flashes: Rechargeable battery in the operating element overheated while charging or during operation. Flashing will stop after the device has cooled off; charging or operation will then continue.

Note: You can speed up the cooling-off period if you remove the operating element from the bag.

9. Declaration of conformity

SOEHNLE herewith declares that this device is in compliance with the basic requirements and all other relevant regulations of applicable European directives. You will find the EU compliance declaration on www.soehnle.com.

10. Disposal of used electronic devices

After its service life, please dispose of this device according to the Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment 2002/96/EC (WEEE).

The symbol on the product or its packaging informs you that this product cannot be treated as normal household waste, but must be returned at a collection point for recycling electronic and electrical devices.

12. Guarantee

SOEHNLE guarantees rectification of faults based on material or production errors, free of charge, either by repair or replacement, for 2 years as of the date of purchase. Please retain the receipt of purchase and guarantee slip. In case of a guarantee claim, please return the device, guarantee slip and receipt of purchase to your seller.
