How to open the kettle lid?

How to set a precise temperature?

Press the button, then use the ▲ and ▼ buttons to choose a temperature between 25 and 100 °C. After 5 seconds, the kettle heats to that temperature.

How to use the keep warm function?

First select a temperature below 100 °C, then press the keep warm button. Set the desired temperature with ▲ and ▼. The kettle keeps that temperature for 40 minutes.

Why is there moisture on the base?

This is normal: steam condenses under the kettle and is vented through holes. Do not worry.

How to clean the anti-limescale filter?

Open the lid, push the filter down to release it, then lift it out. Rinse under running water with a soft brush, then put it back.

What to do if the kettle heats empty?

The dry boil safety device cuts the power. Remove the kettle from the base, let it cool, then place it back on the base to reset.

What temperature for black tea?

For black tea, use a temperature between 80 and 90 °C and steep for 5 to 7 minutes.

How to descale the kettle?

Descale at least once a month with a commercial descaler, following the instructions on the package. Regular descaling extends the appliance's lifespan.

FILLING

1. Squeeze the lid lock into the lid to open it.
2. Fill with at least 2 cups of water, but not above max.

3. Close the lid, and press down to lock it.

PREPARATION

1. Put the stand on a stable, level surface.
2. Plug the stand into the wall socket.
3. Put the kettle on the stand.
4. The display will show the temperature of the water in the kettle.

BOILING WATER (100°C)

1. Press the 🎨 button.
2. The display will show 100°C and the 🎨 icon will flash.
3. After 5 seconds the 🎨 icon will stop flashing and the kettle will start to heat up the water.
4. When 100^ C is reached the kettle will switch off automatically. The 🎨 icon will disappear from the display.
5. You can switch the kettle off at any time by pressing the 🎨 button.
6. The display will continuously show the temperature of the water in the kettle.

HEATING WATER TO A SELECTED TEMPERATURE

The temperatures available are 100, 95, 90, 85, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, and 25 (°C).

1. Press the 🎨 button.
2. The display will show 100°C and the 🎨 icon will flash.
3. Use the ▲ and ▼ buttons to set the temperature you want to heat the water to.
4. After 5 seconds the 🎨 icon will stop flashing and the kettle will start to heat up the water.
5. When the water reaches the temperature you set the kettle will switch off automatically.
6. You can switch the kettle off at any time by pressing the 🎨 button.
7. The display will continuously show the temperature of the water in the kettle.

KEEP WARM FEATURE

This function only works at the 95, 90, 85, 80, 75, 70, 65, 60, 55, 50, 45, 40, 35, 30, and 25 settings. If you have chosen a temperature below 100, and you want to keep the water warm:

1. Press the button.
2. The display will show 40°C and the icon will flash.
3. Use the ▲ and ▼ buttons to set the temperature you want the water kept warm to.
4. After 5 seconds the ⚗ icon will stop flashing and the kettle will start to heat up the water.
5. The kettle will switch on and off as required to keep the water at the selected temperature.
6. After 40 minutes, the keep warm function will switch off. The icon will disappear from the display.
7. The display will continuously show the temperature of the water in the kettle.
8. To cancel the keep warm feature, press the 🔊 button until the 🔊 icon disappears from the display.

GENERAL

• When you lift the kettle, you may see moisture on the stand. Don't worry – it's the steam used to switch off automatically, which then condenses and escapes via vents under the kettle.
• You may see some discolouration on the floor of the kettle. Again, don't worry – it's due to the bonding of the element to the kettle floor.
• If you normally heat water to less than 100°C, and keep it warm, you may ignore the 🎨 button, and use the keep warm function on its own.

BOIL DRY PROTECTION

• This will shorten the life of the element. A boil-dry cut-out will switch the kettle off.
• You must then remove the kettle from its stand to reset the cut-out.
• Sit the kettle on the work surface till it's cold.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

1. Unplug the stand from the wall socket, and let the kettle cool down fully before cleaning.
2. Wipe all surfaces with a clean damp cloth.
3. Open the lid.
4. Grip the top of the filter, and push it down and into the kettle to release it.
5. Lift or tip it out of the kettle.
6. Rinse the filter under a running tap while brushing with a soft brush.
7. Fit the bottom of the filter into the mount at the bottom of the spout.
8. Push the top of the filter towards the spout, to force the top hooks under the rim of the kettle.

DESCALE REGULARLY

Descale the appliance at least monthly with a proprietary descaler. Follow the instructions on the package of descaler.

Products returned under guarantee with faults due to scale will be subject to a repair charge.

RECYCLING
