The red light of the freezer does not turn off, what should I do?
Frequently Asked Questions - 15 j
Response Notice-Facile

The red indicator light of your FAGOR ZFK1747X freezer lights up when a power failure has interrupted operation and the internal temperature has exceeded -11°C. This indicates a "break in the cold chain".

To resolve this issue:

  • First, check that the appliance is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker of your electrical installation has not tripped.
  • Once power is restored, wait a few hours for the freezer to drop below -11°C. The red light will turn off automatically.
  • If an audible alarm sounds (30 minutes after the power failure), you can stop it by pressing the alarm button on the appliance.
  • If the light remains on after restarting and several hours of normal operation, this may indicate a malfunction of the temperature sensor - contact FAGOR customer service.

Note: This light is a safety indicator. If it lights up without a visible power failure, it means the appliance has detected a significant thermal anomaly.
