USER MANUAL BTD7000 BLAUPUNKT

Please read the instruction carefully before operation the unit.

16. Battery compartment

Connect the detachable AC cord (included) to the AC socket on the rear of the unit, Insert the AC power cord into a

1. Remove the lid of the battery compartment.

2. Insert 4 R14/UM2/"C"size batteries into the compartment. Make sure to match their polarities (+/-) to the markings

inside the compartment.

-The AC cord must be unplugged from both the socket on the unit and the power outlet for the unit to run on the

- When the set is connected to the mains, the power source automatically switches to AC.

- The appearance of battery icon “ ” on display indicates that the batteries are low. Replace them with new batteries.

Notes on batteries (not supplied)

·Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.

·Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.

·Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

·Do not throw the batteries in fire!

·Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

·The batteries need to be replaced when: The volume decreases, or sound is distorted during operation.

·In order to avoid leakage, remove the batteries when unit will not be used for a long period of time.

·Please respect the environment. Before throwing any batteries away, consult your distributor who may be able to take

them back for specific recycling.

Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

1. In standby mode, press MEMO for two seconds and the display will show “24 HOURS”. .

2. Press or to select “24 HOURS” or “12 HOURS” time format.

3. Press MEMO to confirm and the hour digits flash.

4. Press or to set the hour value. Press MEMO to confirm and minute digits flash.

5. Repeat Step 4 until minute, year, month, day are set.

SETTING THE ALARM Set alarm time and wake source

2. In Standby mode, long press ALARM button until “ALARM OFF” appears on display.

6. Press or to select alarm frequency among “WEEKENDS”, WEEKDAYS”, “ONCE” and “ DAILY” . Then press

WEEKENDS: The alarm is activated only on weekends.

WEEKDAYS: The alarm is activated only on weekdays.

ONCE: The alarm is activated only one time.

DAILY: The alarm is activated everyday.

7. Press or to adjust the alarm volume level and press ALARM again to confirm the alarm setting. The “ALM” icon

remains on the display.

Silence the alarm momentarily

Press SNOOZE/DIMMER to turn the alarm off temporarily. The alarm will sound again when the snooze period is over.

Note: snooze time is 9 minutes.

Press ON/OFF. The alarm will turn on at the same time tomorrow except followings situations:

4. “ONCE” is selected. The alarm is cancelled and “ALM” icon disappears from the display.

5. “WEEKDAYS” is selected and tomorrow is Saturday. The “ALM” icon remains on the display.

* The alarm will turn on again at the same time next Monday.

6. “WEEKENDS” is selected and tomorrow is Monday. The “ALM” icon remains on the display.

* The alarm will turn on again at the same time next Saturday.

Cancel alarm settings

In Standby mode, long press ALARM button until “ALARM OFF” appears on display. Press ALARM again to confirm and

“ALM” icon disappears from display. The alarm is cancelled.

SLEEP TO THE RADIO In sleep mode, the radio will turn off automatically after a specified time.

5. Press SLEEP button repeatedly to set the sleep time: OFF> 5> 10>15>30>45>60>90>120> OFF…

6. Release SLEEP button. After 5 seconds the radio is turned on. “SLEEP” icon remains on the display.

7. Press SLEEP button to check the remaining sleep time.

8. If you want to switch off the radio before sleep ends, press ON/OFF button.

DIMMER Press SNOOZE/DIMMER repeatedly in standby mode to set the brightness of LCD display.

RADIO Listening to the Radio

1. Press ON/OFF switch to turn on the radio.

2. Press FUNCTION button to select FM or MW band.

3. Press or to tune to your desired radio station.

4. Adjust the volume to desired level.

5. Press AUDIO button repeatedly to select desired sound preset: VOICE, MUSIC or NORMAL.

6. Press ON/OFF button again to turn off the radio.

To enhance radio reception ability:

FM: Extend the telescopic antenna.

MW: Rotate the unit horizontally for optimum reception.

Presetting radio stations

1. Tune to a station.

2. Press MEMO once and the display will show flashing “1”.

3. Press or to select a preset number.

4. Press MEMO again to save station as selected preset number.

5. Repeat above steps to preset a maximum of 40 stations (20 MW / 20 FM).

Retrieving the preset stations

·Press or to access a preset station.

RDS FUNCTION When FM station with RDS is received, the station name (PS) is displayed. Press RDS button repeatedly to display the

program type (PTY), the radio text (RT), the frequency and the station name (PS).

CONNECTING AUXILIARY SOURCE

1. Connect your auxiliary source (e .g. mp3 player) to the LINE IN jack on the left side of the unit.

2. Press FUNCTION button to select LINE IN mode.

3. Start playback from your auxiliary source.

3. Adjust the volume to desired level.

4. To stop playback, disconnect your auxiliary source from the LINE IN jack.

LISTENING WITH EARPHONES Connect earphones (not included) to the earphone jack on unit.

Continuous use of earphones at high volume can damage the user’s hearing.

require user to power reset.
