Power source

AC main power: Using the supplied power cord, connect the unit via the AC power outlet, and plug the power plug into the wall socket in order to get the power source.

Battery power: Open the battery door and insert 2 pcs (3V) type UM-1 size or C cells batteries (not included) into the compartment according to the negative and positive polarity indications, then close the battery door. Please replace with new fresh batteries in case of power exhaustion. The output sound will deform and playback will stop in case battery power is getting weak.

Caution: Please do not install different brand batteries, or old and new batteries together; please take out the batteries in case of no operation for a long period; please dispose of the exhausted batteries in an environmentally friendly way.

Radio operation

Before starting radio listening, please try to move the unit next to a window and fully extend the antenna; then push the volume potentiometer to power on the unit, and adjust volume; turn the TUNING knob to adjust the radio frequency in order to get a station. Push the AM/FM tuner selector to switch AM or FM tuner for listening.

Headphone: you can connect the headphone with the headphone jack for listening, and then the sound will output from headphone and mute the loudspeaker.

Reception improvement: Try to move the unit next to window; try to full extent the antenna and adjust the direction; try to turn another frequency; try to change any position for listening.

Power source

Mains power: Using the supplied power cord, connect the small plug to the power socket on the unit, and connect the other larger plug to a wall socket to provide mains power to the unit.

Battery power: Open the battery compartment and insert 2 batteries (3 V) type UM-1 (R20) (not included) into the compartment in accordance with the positive and negative polarity markings, then close the battery cover. If the batteries are completely discharged, replace them with new ones. If the batteries are nearly discharged, the output sound may be distorted, and in the event of complete battery discharge, the device will stop working.
