How to turn on the ZFP416X range hood?

Pull the hood drawer out more than 5 cm to expose the control panel. Press the button for the desired speed (1, 2 or 3) to turn the fan on. To turn on the lighting, press the Lighting button.

How to turn off the fan?

Press the first speed button (01) or close the hood drawer completely. The hood remembers the last speed used when closing the drawer.

Which speed to choose for which type of cooking?

Use speed 1 for warming or cooking with covered pots. Speed 2 is suitable for cooking with lids on multiple burners or gentle frying. Speed 3 is for large amounts of uncovered food or intense frying.

How often to clean the grease filters?

The grease filters should be cleaned every month. They can be washed in the dishwasher at a low temperature on a short cycle. Discoloration does not affect performance.

How to remove the grease filters?

Press the lever of the filter's fixing clip under the hood, then gently tilt the front of the filter downward and pull it out. Repeat for each filter. To reinstall, follow the steps in reverse.

Is a charcoal filter needed and when to replace it?

The charcoal filter is optional for recirculation mode. It must be replaced at least every 4 months. Follow the instructions provided with the filter to see if it is regenerable.

How to replace the charcoal filter?

First remove the grease filters. Pull the tabs of the charcoal filter downward, tilt the front, and pull it out. Install the new filter in reverse order. Replace the grease filters.

What to do if the lighting no longer works?

The LED bulb can only be replaced by a technician. If it malfunctions, refer to the Maintenance section of the Safety Instructions chapter in the manual.

Can the hood operate in recirculation mode without external exhaust?

Yes, provided a charcoal filter is installed (sold separately). The hood draws in air, the charcoal filter absorbs odors, then the air is released into the room.

How to clean the exterior of the hood?

Use a soft cloth, warm water, and a mild detergent. Do not use abrasive products or brushes. After cooking, let it cool before cleaning to avoid stains.

USING THE HOOD

Check the recommended speed according to the table below.

While heating up food, cooking with covered pots.

While cooking with covered pots on multiple cooking zones or burners, gentle frying.

While boiling and frying big quantities of food without a lid, cooking on multiple cooking zones or burners.

It is recommended to leave the hood operating for approximately 15 minutes after cooking.

To operate the hood:

1. Pull out the drawer of the hood more than 5 cm.

The control panel is exposed.

1. To activate the function press the 01 button.
2. If needed, change the speed by pressing the desired button.

The hood's light works independently of other hood functions. To illuminate the cooking surface press the light button. Closing the drawer has no effect on the hood light.

To turn off the fan press 01 or close the hood drawer.

The hood remembers the last setting of fan speed on closing the drawer. The hood will operate on this fan speed level when the drawer is pulled out again.

CARE AND CLEANING

NOTES ON CLEANING

Cleaning Agents	Do not use abrasive detergents and brushes. Clean the surface of the appliance with a soft cloth with warm water and a mild detergent.
	After cooking some parts of appliance can get hot. To avoid stains appliance must be cooled down and dried with clean cloth or paper towels.
	Clean stains with a mild detergent.
Keep the hood clean	Clean the appliance and grease filters each month. Clean the interior and grease filters carefully from fat. Fat accumulation or other residue may cause fire.
	Grease filters can be washed in a dishwasher. The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. The grease filter may discolour, it has no influence on the performance of the appliance.
Charcoal filter	The time of saturation of the charcoal filter varies depending on the type of cooking and the regularity of cleaning the grease filter.

CLEANING THE GREASE FILTER

Filters are mounted with the use of clips and pins on the opposite side.

To clean the filter:

1. Press the handle of the mounting clip on the filter panel underneath the hood.

1. Slightly tilt the front of the filter downwards, then pull. Repeat the first two steps for all filters.
2. Clean the filters using a sponge with non-abrasive detergents or in a dishwasher.

The dishwasher must be set to a low temperature and a short cycle. The grease filter may discolour, but this has no influence on the performance of the appliance.

1. To mount the filters back, follow the first two steps in reverse order.

Repeat the steps for all filters if applicable.

GENERAL CONTROL PANEL

It is recommended to let the device run for about 15 minutes after preparation.

Turning on the extractor:

1. Pull the extractor out more than 5 cm.

The control panel is open.

2. If necessary, change the speed by pressing the desired button.

The extractor light works independently of other extractor functions. To turn on the backlight, the symbol

of the indicator, press the button for closing the damper and the light will turn on.

To turn off the fan, press 011 or close the damper.

The extractor remembers the last fan speed setting when the damper is closed. The extractor will operate at this fan speed level when the damper is opened again.
