2. BEFORE USE
- This tool comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Take the tool out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the tool if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
- Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION
3.1 Parallel guide (Fig. 2)
The parallel guide (1) enables straight and precise cuts parallel to the workpiece edge. It can be fitted to either side of the saw, with a maximum cutting distance of approximately 13 cm.
Installation:
- Loosen the locking screws (16).
- Insert the parallel guide into the saw base supports (10).
- Tighten the locking screws to secure the guide.
Removal:
- Loosen the locking screws (16).
- Remove the parallel guide (1).
3.2 Dust collection adapter (Fig. 3)
To keep the work area clean and improve visibility, connect an external dust extraction system (such as a vacuum cleaner) using the supplied adapter (9).
Important! When using an external extraction system, slide the dust blower switch (12) forward (extraction mode).
Installation:
- Slide the dust collection adapter (9) fully into the guide rail between the tool and saw base (10).
- Connect a suitable vacuum hose (not included) to the adapter.
Removal:
- Disconnect the vacuum hose.
- Pull the dust collection adapter (9) firmly to remove it.
3.3 Base Protector (Fig. 4)
To protect delicate surfaces from scratches, use the base protector (11).
Installation:
- Place the base protector (11) at the front of the saw base (10).
- Press the rear tabs of the protector onto the saw base (10) until they click into place.
Removal:
Carefully push the base protector outwards.
3.4 Switching On and Off
To switch on: press the trigger (7).
To switch off: release the trigger (7).
Switch lock (19): For continuous cutting, press the lock button (19) while holding the power switch.
To unlock the switch: Release the trigger.
3.5 Speed setting (Fig. 5)
Adjust the cutting speed according to the material and task by turning the speed knob (8) on the rear of the handle:
- Higher number: Faster speed.
- Lower number: Slower speed.

3.6 Changing the saw blade (Fig. 6)
Caution! Disconnect the jigsaw from the power supply before changing the blade.
- Pull the protective guard (2) upwards.
- Push the quick-release blade clamp to the front stop.
- Insert the new blade (with the teeth facing forward) into the guide slot.
- Make sure the blade is properly fitted and locked in place.
- Lower the protective guard.

3.7 Protective guard
Installation:
- Insert the two assembly tabs of the protective guard (2) into the corresponding holes on each side of the tool housing.
- The guard will click into place. It can be tilted upwards 90° .
Removal: Carefully pull the assembly tabs of the protective guard (2) from the housing holes.
3.8 Base plate adjustment (Fig. 7 and 8)
Important! To achieve maximum mitre angle (left or right), remove the protective guard (2) and base protector (11).
Release: Pull the base adjustment lever (Fig. 7), located on the lower right of the tool.
Sliding: Slide the base plate (10) forward.
Tilting: Tilt the base plate to the desired angle ( 0° to 45° , with preset positions at -45° , -22.5° , 0° , 22.5° and 45° ).
Fixing: Slide the base plate back until the teeth engage with the positioning pin.
Locking: Push the base plate adjustment lever to the locked position. Make sure it is firmly secured.
3.9 Laser and LED light (Fig. 9)
Laser on/off: Use the laser/LED light switch (5).
Alignment:
- Place the jigsaw over the workpiece, aligning it with the cutting start mark.
- Check that the laser line matches the marked cutting line.
Laser/LED light switch functions:
- 1 press: LED light and laser.
- 2 presses: LED light only.
- 3 presses: Laser only.
- 4 presses: Off.
Make sure to switch off the laser after use.
3.10 Airflow direction (Fig. 10)
Slide the dust blower switch backwards to direct airflow and prevent sawdust from covering the cutting mark.
3.11 Pendulum action (Fig. 11)
Adjust the pendulum action to optimise the cutting performance according to the material:

| I | Small orbit | Clean cuts in wood and plywood; mild steel, aluminium, hardwood. |
| II | Medium orbit | Fast cutting in wood and plywood; cutting of aluminium and mild steel. |
| III | Large orbit | Fast cutting in wood and plywood. |
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Regular cleaning and maintenance are essential to extend the service life of your jigsaw and ensure safe and efficient performance.
Important warnings:
- Always switch off the tool before performing any maintenance or cleaning tasks.
- Always wear protective gloves when handling the saw blade to prevent accidental cuts.
- If you need to carry out repairs or maintenance not described in these instructions, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service.
- Use only original Cecotec spare parts to ensure safety and proper operation of the tool.
4.1 Cleaning
- Never spray the tool with water or immerse it in any liquid. This could cause an electric shock and irreparably damage the tool.
- Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or solvents. These chemicals can damage the tool's plastic parts.
- Always keep the ventilation slots, motor housing and handle clean. Use a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dust and dirt.
4.2 Maintenance
- This tool is designed to require minimal maintenance. However, check the condition of the saw blade regularly and replace if worn or damaged.
4.3 Transport
- Before transporting the jigsaw, remove the saw blade.
- Transport the tool by holding it firmly and securely.
4.4 Storage
- Always store the jigsaw and its accessories in a dry, clean, dust-free place and out of the reach of children.
