2. BEFORE USE

This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.

Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately. Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance.

3. OPERATION

Power switch

The switch positions are as follows:

1. Position O: the appliance is switched off
2. Position I: the appliance is in low-temperature mode, reaching a minimum temperature of 50\ °C .
3. Position II: the appliance is in high temperature mode, reaching a maximum temperature of up to 600 °C.

Temperature selection buttons

There are two buttons to select the desired temperature:

• Button ⚡: when pressed, the temperature of the gun will increase.
• Button ⚙: when pressed, the temperature of the gun will decrease.

Note: the minimum temperature will always be 50 °C in mode I, and may reach 600 °C in mode II, as from 70 °C, depending on the user setting.

Air flow selection buttons

These buttons allow you to regulate the amount of air that the gun delivers. Like the previous temperature buttons, it consists of two buttons:

• Button: pressing this button will increase the flow rate of hot air expelled.
• Button √: pressing this button will decrease the flow rate of hot air expelled.

Between the temperature and air flow rate buttons, there is a button ○ which allows the temperature to be increased in predefined intervals of 50 °C, 150 °C, 250 °C, etc., until the maximum temperature of 600 °C is reached.

This button is designed to avoid the need to adjust the temperature in 10\ °C increments.

Operation

1. Connect the heat gun to the power socket.

2. Set the power switch, located on the handle, to position I or II depending on the desired temperature.

3. Adjust the temperature using the temperature selection buttons to obtain the right heat.

4. Adjust the air speed by using the fan flow selection buttons to control the amount of air emitted.
5. Adjusting the distance to the object to be worked on depends on the type of material and the type of operation to be performed.

Note: before using the tool, carry out a test run.

1. To work with the tool, hold it by the handle so that your thumb reaches the switch.

WARNINGS:

• Before making any adjustments, be sure to wear protective gloves and other appropriate safety equipment, as high temperatures can cause severe burns.
• Paint and plastic will ignite if they get too hot. If this occurs, do not inhale the vapours generated.

Fitting/removing the nozzle

INSTALLING THE NOZZLE

1. Allow the gun to cool down (it will cool faster if left in an upright position).
2. Centre the nozzle on the tip of the hot air gun and press down until the nozzle is firmly installed.

REMOVING THE NOZZLE

1. Allow the gun to cool down (it will cool faster if left in an upright position).
2. Pull the nozzle from the tip of the gun to remove it.

WARNING: never change nozzles with bare hands. Always wear gloves when removing accessories.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Warning: risk of electric shock. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work on the tool.

To ensure proper operation and extend the lifespan of the heat gun, it is essential to carry out regular cleaning and maintenance. It is advisable to clean after each use.

How to perform these procedures is outlined below:

1. Unplug the heat gun from the mains before cleaning.
2. Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning or handling.

Cleaning the exterior

• Wipe down the housing with a damp cloth.
• Do not use corrosive cleaning agents or solvents that may damage the plastic components.
• Dry the gun thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth to avoid moisture build-up, which could affect the gun's operation.

Nozzles

• Remove glue residue, paint or other melted materials from the nozzle using a soft brush or damp cloth.
• Avoid using metal objects that could scratch or damage the nozzle.

Ventilation openings
