• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. A Do not keep the door open for too long, as doing so may cause a significant temperature increase in the appliance compartment.

B Regularly clean the surfaces that come into contact with wine and the accessible draining systems.

C If the appliance is left empty for long periods of time, unplug it from the mains, defrost it, clean it, dry it, and leave the door open to prevent internal mould growth.

- This appliance is intended to be used exclusively for the preservation of wine.

- This appliance is not suitable for freezing food.

- Use this appliance for the purposes described in this manual. Misuse or improper use can endanger both the appliance and the user.

- WARNING: if the interior light is damaged, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. Do not try to repair it on your own.

- WARNING: when positioning the appliance, make sure the power cable does not get trapped or damaged. A crushed or damaged connector may heat up and cause a fire.

- WARNING: do not attach multi-socket adaptors or multiple power supplies to the rear part of the appliance.

- Do not use the appliance with an extension lead or a multi-socket adaptor. Make sure the appliance is plugged in directly to a power supply.

- Air must flow around the appliance. Lack of air leads to overheating.

- Do not expose the electrical connections to water or humidity. Make sure your hands are dry before touching or

switching on the appliance.

Temperature range

The appliance temperature range information can be found on its marking. It indicates the optimum room temperature for proper operation of the appliance.

Note:

- Bearing in mind the limiting values of the room temperature range for the climates for which the cooling appliance is designed and that internal temperatures may be affected

by factors such as the location of the cooling appliance, room temperature and frequency of door opening, it may be necessary to modify the setting of any temperature-control device according to these factors.

- If the appliance is operated in an environment other than the specified climate type (i.e. beyond the rated room temperature range), it may not be able to maintain the desired compartment temperatures.

Refrigerant

• Isobutane refrigerant (R600a), contained within the refrigeration circuit of the appliance, is a natural gas with a high level of environmental compatibility; however, it is flammable. Make sure that no components of the refrigeration circuit have been damaged during the transport and installation of the appliance.
• WARNING: the refrigerant and the insulator gas are flammable. When disposing of the appliance, only dispose of it at an authorised waste-disposal facility. Do not expose it to flames.
• WARNING: the appliance contains refrigerant and gases in the insulation. The appliance and gases must be disposed of professionally, as they may cause injuries to eyes or ignition. Make sure the refrigeration-circuit pipe is not damaged before disposing of it correctly.
  This symbol means: WARNING: risk of fire.
• If the refrigeration circuit is damaged:
• Avoid open flames and sources of ignition.
• Completely air the room where the appliance is located.

NOTE:

To make the most out of the appliance in terms of energy efficiency, place all the shelves in their original position, that is, as shown in Figure 1, 2 or 3 (depending on the model).

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the device if you need to transport it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

• Do not remove the serial number of the appliance in order to keep a correct traceability of it in case of assistance

• Remove the outer and inner packaging.
• Keep the appliance in an upright position for at least 2 hours before connecting it to the mains. This will reduce the possibility of a cooling system malfunction after transport.
• Clean the inside with a soft cloth and lukewarm water.
• When installing the wine cooler, make sure that you leave at least 50 mm of free space on each side and 100 mm at the back, as this is the main hot air outlet. Fig. 4

Power icon

• When you connect the appliance to the mains, this icon will automatically light up and the control panel will light up too.
• If you press and hold this icon for 3 seconds, the wine cooler will enter standby mode, so the display will switch off. In addition, the icon you have just pressed will flash. If you want the wine cooler to exit standby mode, press this icon again for 3 seconds.

Light on/off icon

Press this icon to switch the inside light on and off.

Temperature increase icon

Press this icon to increase the temperature.

Temperature decrease icon

Press this icon to decrease the temperature.

Change of temperature unit (Fahrenheit/Celsius)

Press and hold the temperature increase + and decrease — icons at the same time for about 3 seconds to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Child safety lock

• To lock all the icons, press and hold the power icon ⏻ and the light on/off icon ⚙ at the same time for 3 seconds.
• To deactivate this function, press the power icon ⏻ again for 3 seconds.

Note:

• This wine cooler memorises the last set temperature, so when you switch it on again, it will operate at this temperature.
• All icons are backlit. These (except the power icon) will turn off after 10 seconds if no operation is performed. In addition, after this time, both the brightness of the display and the power icon will be reduced to save energy. Pressing any icon other than the power icon will turn all icons back on and reset the brightness of the display.

Light on/off icon

Press this icon to switch the inside light on and off.

Change of temperature unit (Fahrenheit/Celsius)

Press this icon to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Temperature setting icon

• Press this icon to set the temperature.
• The first time you press it, the top zone temperature display will flash, indicating that you can change the top zone temperature by pressing the decrease or increase icons.
• The second time you press this icon, the bottom zone temperature display will flash (the top zone display will stop doing so), indicating that you can change the temperature value by pressing the decrease or increase icon.
• The third time you press this icon, neither display will flash, and both displays will show the current temperature of each zone.
• If you have set the temperature of one of the two zones and have not pressed any other icon, after 5 seconds, the current temperature of each zone will be shown on the corresponding display.

Top zone temperature display

When flashing, the set temperature will be displayed. On the contrary, when it stops flashing, the current temperature of the top zone will be displayed instead.

Bottom zone temperature display

When flashing, the set temperature will be displayed. On the contrary, when it stops flashing, the current temperature of the bottom zone will be displayed instead.

Temperature increase icon

When either display is flashing, press this icon to increase the temperature. With each press, the temperature will increase by 1 °C/°F .

Temperature decrease icon

When either display is flashing, press this icon to decrease the temperature. With each press, the temperature will decrease by 1° C/ ° F.

Power icon

• Use this icon to turn the wine cooler on and off.
• If you wish to switch off the wine cooler, press and hold this icon for 5 seconds. If you press it again, the wine cooler will switch on.
• This wine cooler has a memory function, so when you switch it on (after having switched it off), the displays will show the last set temperature.

Safety child lock

• To activate this function, press and hold the temperature increase + and decrease — icons for 3 seconds.
• To deactivate it, press this icon combination again for 3 seconds.

Notes

1. Do not obstruct or block the cooling fan, otherwise the temperature of the wine cooler may be too high.
2. Make sure to close the door tightly at all times, otherwise the cooling temperature may be affected.
3. If you are not going to use the wine cooler for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains and leave the door open.
4. If there is a power failure, you must wait 5 minutes before restarting the wine cooler.
5. If you use the wine cooler for the first time or use it again after a long period of time, it may happen that the temperature you have set does not match the temperature shown on the display. If you keep the wine cooler operating for a while, this problem will be solved.
6. This wine cooler memorises the last set temperature, so when you switch it on again, it will operate at this temperature.
7. Avoid using the wine cooler at altitudes above 2000 metres, as the door glass may burst due to pressure changes.

4. WINE STORAGE

- This appliance is intended to be used exclusively for wine preservation.

• The Bolero GrandSommelier Origin 18 Hit Red, Bolero GrandSommelier Origin 18 Hit Beige, Bolero GrandSommelier Origin 18 Hit Green, Bolero GrandSommelier Origin 18 Hit Black wine coolers are designed to store a maximum of 18 750 ml Bordeaux bottles, following the layout shown in figure 7.
• The Bolero GrandSommelier Origin 24 Hit Red, Bolero GrandSommelier Origin 24 Hit Beige, Bolero GrandSommelier Origin 24 Hit Green, Bolero GrandSommelier Origin 24 Hit Black wine coolers are designed to store a maximum of 24 750 ml Bordeaux bottles, following the layout shown in figure 8.
• The Bolero GrandSommelier Origin Duo 30 Hit Red, Bolero GrandSommelier Origin, Duo 30 Hit Beige, Bolero GrandSommelier Origin Duo 30 Hit Green, Bolero GrandSommelier Origin Duo 30 Hit Black wine coolers are designed to store a maximum of 30 750 ml Bordeaux bottles, following the layout shown in figure 9.
• You can store larger bottles. However, you must first ensure that they do not prevent the door from closing properly.
• You can increase the storage capacity of the wine cooler by removing the shelves and stacking the bottles on top of each other. Do not stack more than 3 rows of bottles per shelf. Remove a single shelf at a time. Do not attempt to remove more than one. The maximum weight capacity per shelf is 25 kg.
• Capacity will vary depending on the arrangement of bottles or their size.
• If the wine cooler is going to be empty for a long period of time, disconnect it from the mains, clean it and leave the door open for ventilation.
• The table below shows the recommended storage temperature for each type of beverage:

NOTE:

• These temperatures are approximate as they depend on many factors, always take into account the indications of the wine manufacturer.
• Exposure to light, vibrations, or fluctuations in temperature and humidity can cause the wine to spoil. When properly stored, wines not only maintain their quality, but many improve in aroma, flavour, and complexity as they mature.

• Wines kept at higher temperatures age faster. Wines exposed to temperatures above 18 °C (64 °F) will lose flavour and aroma.

• If the wine is kept at too low a temperature, it can lead to the appearance of damaging deposits. A humidity of 60\~70% is ideal to prevent corks from shrinking.

• After opening a bottle of wine, the wine comes into contact with air. Therefore, it is best to store the rest of the bottle in an upright position to minimise the surface area of the wine that comes into contact with air.
• Once opened, the wine will be drinkable for two days in the case of whites or three days in the case of reds, provided that the bottle was resealed. Make sure the seal is tight by checking the stopper.
• In most wine shops you can buy special stoppers that keep sparkling wine and champagne bubbly for a day or two after opening.
• When you buy a bottle of wine, you should immediately store it in the wine cooler.
• Cheaper bottles of wine do not age as well as more expensive ones.
• To make the most of the aroma and flavour of the wine, never fill more than half a glass at a time. The shape of the glass helps in that regard as well. The size and shape of the wine glass will determine the intensity and complexity of the aroma. The stem should be long enough to avoid hand contact with the bowl of the glass and should be tulip-shaped or tapered at the top.
• The bottles must not come into contact with the back of the wine cooler.
• The wine cooler should be located in the coolest part of the room, away from heat-producing appliances. Moreover, avoid exposing the appliance to direct sunlight.
• Make sure the room is ventilated. Do not cover the ventilation openings of the wine cooler.
• Open the door only as long as necessary.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Switch off the appliance, unplug it and remove all objects, including shelves.
• Wipe the appliance with a soft cloth or damp sponge.
• Wash the shelves with a mild detergent.
• Wring excess water from the sponge or cloth when cleaning the control panel.
• Wash the outer surface with warm water and a little mild liquid detergent. After cleaning, rinse the surface thoroughly and dry it with a cloth.
• Do not use organic solvents, alkaline detergents, boiling water, powder detergents, abrasive products, etc.
• Do not pour water inside the wine cooler.
• Regularly clean surfaces that come into contact with accessible drainage systems.

Automatic defrost

- The wine cooler has an automatic defrosting function. Thus, the frost that forms on the evaporator surface of the cooling system (only visible when the wine cooler is disassembled) is regularly removed. This ensures that the cooling system works properly.

• When the wine cooler has been operating for a considerable period of time, the automatic defrost function will be activated. At this point, the wine cooler's compressor will stop operating, but the cooling fan will continue to run,
• When this function is activated, the temperature of the wine cooler will increase. This is normal, it is not an error. After defrosting, cooling will resume automatically, and the temperature of the wine cooler will gradually decrease to the set value.

Power cut

• Most power cuts are resolved within a few hours, so they should not affect the temperature of the wine cooler, especially if you keep the door closed. However, if the power cut is going to last for a long time, you should take some preventive measures.
• If the wine cooler is switched off, you must wait about 5 minutes before switching it on again. If you try to restart it before this time has elapsed, it may not start.

Going on holidays

If you are not going to use the wine cooler for several months, remove all the bottles inside, switch it off and unplug it from the mains. Clean and dry the interior completely. To avoid mould or unpleasant odours, leave the door slightly open.

Moving the wine cooler

1. Remove any bottles that may be inside.
2. Tape the shelves together.
3. Reduce the height of the adjustable feet as much as possible to avoid any damage.
4. Close the door and secure it with tape.

5. Make sure that the appliance remains upright during transport. Also protect the outside of the appliance with a blanket or similar item.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

The wine cooler switches on and off frequently	The room temperature is higher than normal.	Make sure that the room temperature is within the range indicated in the technical specifications.
	You open the door too often.	Open the door for as long as necessary.
	The door is not properly closed.	Close the door properly.
	You have not selected a suitable temperature.	Adjust the temperature.
	Door gasket does not seal properly.	Check the condition of the gasket, replace it if it is in bad condition. If it is dirty, clean it.
The light does not work	It is not plugged into the mains.	Connect the wine cooler to the power socket.
	A fuse has blown, or the circuit breaker has tripped.	Contact an electrician to check and/or repair your electrical installation.
	The light is off.	Turn on the wine cooler light by pressing the light on/off icon.
The wine cooler vibrates	The wine cooler is not level.	Check that the wine cooler is level and level it if necessary.
	The wine cooler does not have enough space around it.	Make sure that the wine cooler has enough space around it, as shown in figure 4.

The door is not properly closed	The wine cooler is not level.	Check that the wine cooler is level and level it if necessary.
	The door is not correctly fitted.	Make sure that the wine cooler has enough space around it, as shown in figure 4.
	The gasket is dirty.	Clean the gasket.
	The shelves are not well positioned.	Position the shelves as shown in figure 7, 8 or 9 depending on the model.
The wine cooler makes too much noise	Refrigerant flow may cause some noise.	This is normal.
	The contraction and expansion of the walls of the wine cooler may cause some noise.	This is normal.
	The wine cooler is not level.	Check that the wine cooler is level and level it if necessary.

Note:
If none of these situations match your problem, do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance by yourself. Repairs carried out by unqualified people may result in injury or serious malfunctions. Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. The repair must be carried out by an authorised technician, and you must use only original spare parts.

Error codes
