10. Troubleshooting and FAQ
Please see the headset's manual for further information regarding the headset.
I hear crackling noises
Bluetooth is a radio technology which means it is sensitive to objects between the headset and the connected device. It is designed for the headset and the connected device to be used within 10 metres of each other, when there are no major objects in the way (walls, etc.).
I cannot hear anything in the headset
Increase the volume in the headset and on the music player. Ensure that the headset is paired to a device that is playing. Make sure that music is playing on the audio device.
I have pairing problems
Ensure that both devices are fully charged and repeat the pairing process.

I need to enable pairing manually.
Ensure that the music adaptor is turned off. Press and hold the button until you see a solid blue light. The adaptor is now in manual pairing mode.
I skip a track on the headset but nothing is happening
The music adaptor is only transmitting the music to the headset and can't skip tracks and perform any other actions on your music player.
I have distorted sound in the headset
The audio level is typically controlled by the music player. For optimal performance the volume on the music player should be set to a maximum of 80% of the maximum output volume.

2 Bluetooth profiles are the different ways that Bluetooth devices communicate with other devices. Bluetooth phones support either the headset profile, the hands-free profile or both. In order to support a certain profile, a phone manufacturer must implement certain mandatory features within the phone's software.
3 Pairing creates a unique and encrypted link between two Bluetooth devices and lets them communicate with each other. Bluetooth devices will not work if the devices have not been paired.

Standby mode is when the Jabra A120s is on but not connected to a headset.

A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is a Bluetooth Profile that enables stereo sound. Both the adaptor and the device it connects to must support A2DP in order to hear A2DP sound in the headset.
