3. OPERATION
When using the iron for the first time, it is normal to observe slight smoke emission and hear noises due to plastic expansion. It is recommended to iron over a smooth cloth before first use to remove any residue.
Anti-scale function
The tank incorporates a special resin filter that softens water and prevents limescale build-up on the soleplate. This filter is permanent and requires no replacement.
It is recommended to use tap water only. The use of distilled or demineralised water may alter the anti-scale system properties, rendering it ineffective.
Avoid adding chemicals, aromatic essences, or descaling agents. Cecotec accepts no responsibility for non-compliance with these instructions.
Anti-drip function
The anti-drip system allows precise ironing of delicate fabrics.
It prevents water dripping from the soleplate during ironing, avoiding stains when the temperature is too low to generate steam.
Automatic shut-off function
The iron will automatically switch off if not used for approximately 8 minutes in horizontal position or 30 seconds in vertical position.
A power indicator light will show the shut-off status.
When the iron is moved, the automatic shut-off system deactivates and the device resumes operation.
Warning: Always check the garment care label before ironing. In the absence of a label, verify the fabric type to ensure proper ironing.

ENGLISH
To save time during heating, it is recommended to iron fabrics requiring lower temperature settings first. This also reduces the risk of burning the fabric.
Steam ironing
Filling the water tank
- Ensure the iron is unplugged.
- Set the steam control knob (C) to position «0» or
- Open the water inlet cap (B).
- Hold the iron in an upright position to facilitate filling without spillage.
- Fill the tank slowly with tap water, avoiding exceeding the maximum level (approximately 320 ml).
- Close the water inlet cap (B) firmly.

Temperature adjustment
- Place the iron in an upright position and plug it to the mains supply.
- Select the appropriate temperature for the fabric type using the temperature control dial (J) [see figure 3]. The indicator light will illuminate while the iron heats up and turn off upon reaching the desired temperature.
Warning: During ironing, the indicator light will illuminate periodically, indicating that the selected temperature is being maintained. If you need to reduce the temperature after ironing at high temperature, adjust the temperature control dial. The indicator must illuminate again before continuing to avoid risk of burns.
Steam adjustment
- Adjust the steam control knob (C) according to the desired steam output.
- Steam is adjustable between minimum and maximum, being more powerful at maximum position and off at minimum.
Warning: Steam is only released in horizontal position. To stop steam, place the iron vertically or set the knob to «0» or «0». The steam function is suitable only at high temperatures; otherwise, dripping may occur.
Steam shot function
When ironing horizontally, the steam shot button (E) may be pressed to produce a powerful steam jet that penetrates fabric and irons the most difficult and stubborn creases. The steam shot button may be pressed again after several seconds to obtain more steam.
In vertical position, use this function for ironing curtains or hanging garments.
Note: Use the steam shot function only at high temperatures.
Dry ironing
If steam is not required, set the desired temperature and position the steam control knob at

Spray function
- Ensure there is water in the tank.
- Press the spray button (D) slowly to obtain a fine mist.
- Press quickly for a wider spray pattern.
Warning: For fine fabrics, it is recommended to dampen the fabric or place a damp cloth between the iron and fabric before using the water spray function. To prevent staining, do not use this function on silk or synthetic fabrics.
4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Cleaning
Note: Before cleaning the iron in any way, ensure it is unplugged.
To remove residue adhered to the soleplate, use a damp cloth or non-abrasive liquid detergent.
Do not use steel wool or metal objects to scrape the soleplate. Plastic parts can be cleaned with a damp cloth and then dried with a dry cloth.
Self-cleaning function
- The self-cleaning function is used to clean accumulated dirt from the soleplate, typically every 10 to 15 days.
- Set the steam control knob (C) to the off position and fill the tank to maximum level.
- Set the temperature control dial (J) to maximum and wait for it to heat up.
- Unplug and place the iron horizontally over the sink.
- Hold down the self-cleaning button (K) to clean the soleplate until all water and impurities are expelled. Release the button when finished.
- After the soleplate has cooled, clean it with a damp cloth.
ENGLISH
Storage
- Disconnect the plug from the mains socket.
- Turn the iron upside down and shake gently to drain water.
- Allow the iron to cool completely.
- Wind the power cord loosely around the iron.
- Store the iron in an upright position.
Tips for good ironing
- For fabrics with special treatments (such as decorative pieces, embroidery, etc.), use low temperature ironing.
- For blended fabrics (such as 40% cotton + 60% synthetics), adjust the temperature as needed and iron at low temperature.
- If you do not know the fabric composition, test on a hidden part of the garment to determine the appropriate ironing temperature.
- Start with a low temperature and gradually increase until the desired temperature is reached.
- Do not iron surfaces with sweat or other stains, as the heat from the soleplate will set the stains, and they cannot be removed. Dry ironing at medium temperature will maintain the size of the garment, while overheating can burn the garment and cause yellow stains.
- To prevent silk, wool or synthetic fabrics from becoming shiny when ironed, iron them inside out.
- To prevent the velvet from becoming shiny, iron it inside out and in the same direction (along the grain).
- The more clothes you put in the washer at one time, the more they will wrinkle. The more the drum rotates, the more likely it is to wrinkle.
- Many fabrics are easier to iron before they are completely dry. Silk, for example, should be ironed damp.
