How to fill the water tank of the Cecotec Ironhero 3200 iron?

Unplug the appliance, open the tank cap, and pour tap or distilled water up to the MAX mark. Do not exceed this level.

This may be due to too low temperature or a too full tank. Make sure the soleplate is at the right temperature and use the anti-drip function.

How to activate the variable steam function?

Yes, this is the automatic shut-off safety. If the iron remains stationary horizontally for more than 30 seconds or vertically for more than 8 minutes, it turns off to prevent accidents.

What type of water to use in the iron?

Use tap water. If the water is very hard, mix half tap water, half distilled water. Do not use pure demineralized water or scented water.

Can I iron silk clothes with this iron?

Yes, set the temperature to the low setting (silk). Preferably use low steam flow or dry iron on a protective cloth.

• This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.

2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.

3. OPERATION

Filling up the water tank

1. Make sure the iron is switched off and unplugged before filling up the water tank.
2. Turn the steam knob to the 'MIN' position before filling up the water tank.
3. Place the iron on a stand, tilt it forward at an angle of approximately 45 degrees and pour water through the filler opening into the MAX position of the water tank.
4. Empty the water tank after each use.
5. Pour out the remaining water after use.

Vertical steaming

The "steam burst" can also be applied when the iron is held vertically, which is useful for removing wrinkles from hanging clothes, curtains, etc.

Dry ironing

1. Place the steam knob in the 0 position (that is, no steam.)
2. According to the care label of the different garments, set the correct ironing temperature to start ironing.

Steam ironing

1. Fill up the iron as explained in section: "Filling up the water tank."
2. Plug the appliance into the main socket.
3. Set the temperature/thermostat selector to MAX position according to the temperature/ thermostat knob for steam ironing, otherwise water may come out of the soleplate.
4. When the indicator light goes out, it means that the right temperature for ironing has been reached.
5. Set the steam switch correctly. To increase the steam, turn the switch counterclockwise and to decrease the steam turn the switch clockwise.

Steam burst

This function is suitable for difficult creases and thick fabrics. When you press the "Steam Burst" button, the soleplate emits an intense burst of steam, which is very useful for removing stubborn creases. The steam function can only be used when ironing at a high ironing temperature. For optimal results, there should be a 5 second rest period between pressing the steam button. To avoid water leakage through the soleplate, do not press the steam button continuously for more than 5 seconds. In addition, you should allow an interval of at least one minute before using the steam burst function.

Spraying methods

By pressing the spray button a couple of times, garments can be dampened at any temperature. Make sure there's enough water in the tank.

ENGLISH

Anti-drip

This system controls the water flow emitted to the soleplate at all times. Above a certain temperature, the anti-drip function cuts off the water flow and prevents the soleplate from dripping water onto the garments.

During the use of the iron, the anti-drip system may emit a loud clicking noise, especially during heating or cooling. This is perfectly normal and indicates that the system is working properly.

Built-in anti-scale system

The anti-limescale system is designed to reduce limescale build-up that occurs during steam ironing. This will extend the life of your iron. However, please note that the anti-scale system will not completely stop the natural limescale build-up process.

Auto switch-off

When the iron is stable, for protection and to save energy, it will automatically switch off. In vertical mode the iron stabilises in 8 minutes; in horizontal mode in 30 seconds.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

After each use

1. Turn off and unplug the iron.
2. Empty the tank immediately after use. Do not store the iron with water in it.
3. Wait until the iron has cooled down before storing it, and always place it on the base to protect the soleplate from scratches, corrosion, or stains.
4. After allowing the iron to cool down completely, store it upright in a safe place.

Outer iron surface

After unplugging and allowing the iron to cool down, simply wipe it with a damp cloth and, if necessary, use a mild detergent.

Warning: do not use abrasive cleaner agents.

Soleplate

• Starch and other types of residues may be easily removed from the soleplate with a damp cloth.
• To avoid scratching the finish, never use a metal scouring pad to clean the soleplate or place the iron on a rough surface. If synthetics are ironed at too high a temperature, not only is the fabric often damaged, but the soleplate of the iron is often covered with the melted residue of the synthetic fabric. The best way to remove synthetic residues from the soleplate is to heat up the iron and iron an old cotton cloth.

WARNING: never use iron cleaners as they may damage the working parts of the iron.

Self-cleaning

• Use the self-cleaning function once every two weeks. If the water in your area is very chalky, you should use the self-cleaning function more frequently.
• Make sure the iron is unplugged, turn the steam switch to the "O" position and fill the water tank to the MAX position. Do not put vinegar or other liquid solutions in the water tank.
• Select the maximum ironing temperature and plug the appliance into the mains socket. Unplug the iron when the power indicator light has gone out, rest the iron on a base and press and hold the self-cleaning button while moving the iron back and forth. Steam and boiling water will come out of the soleplate of the iron, then any impurities (if any) will be expelled.
• Release the self-cleaning button as soon as all the water in the tank has been used up.
• Repeat the self-cleaning process if the iron still contains many impurities.
• After the self-cleaning process, plug the iron into the socket and allow it to heat up so that the soleplate dries.

• Unplug the iron when it has reached the set ironing temperature. After this, gently move the iron over a piece of used cloth to remove any water stains that may have formed on the soleplate and allow the iron to cool down before storing it.

• TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem	Cause	Solution
