How to use the Miniliss Babyliss G585E epilator?

Place the epilation head on the device, turn it on and choose speed I (slow) for sensitive areas or speed II (fast) for legs. Hold the device perpendicular to the skin, stretch the skin with one hand and move the device slowly in the opposite direction of hair growth. Do not make circular or back-and-forth movements.

What are the different speeds and when to use them?

The device has two speeds: speed I (slow) is recommended for sensitive areas and fine hair, while speed II (fast) is ideal for legs and thicker hair.

How to properly prepare the skin before epilation?

Before epilation, take a warm shower to dilate the pores and facilitate hair removal. It is also advisable to exfoliate the day before to raise the hairs and remove dead skin cells. The skin should be clean and dry before using the device.

How to use the trimmer with cutting guides?

Attach the desired cutting guide (6 mm or 12 mm) to the trimmer head. Turn on the device and hold it slightly tilted against the skin. Move it slowly against the hair growth. Start with the longest guide to get used to it, then repeat with a shorter guide if desired. For a perfect finish, use the shaving head.

How to clean the device after use?

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL DEPILATION A- Scrubbing

Scrubbing is a necessary step for successful hair removal. Done regularly, it:

• prevents hair from growing back under the skin,
• removes dead cells and refines the texture of your skin,
• prepares your skin to help it absorb skin care products.

Scrubbing done once or twice a week maintains a healthy and fresh skin. We recommend scrubbing ideally the day before hair removal. The scrubbing will straighten the hair thereby helping you to remove it. Avoid scrubbing just after hair removal.

B-Hair Removal

Your Miniliss has 30 tweezers that work like many small hair-removing tweezers.

For perfect efficiency, we recomme you use it on fairly short hair (0.5cm)

Before removing hair, we recommend taking a warm shower. The warmth will help your pores dilate and thereby ease removal of the hair.

To remove hair successfully, it is essential to look closely at the direction in which the hair grows in the area where hair is to be removed. It is important to move the hair remover in the direction opposite to that of the hair growth; failure to do so could result in the hair being simply cut or being improperly pulled and then it growing back under the skin.

Removing hair from the legs:

1. Put the hair removal head on the appliance. Turn it on and select speed I or II (I: fine hair/II: coarse hair).
2. Hold the appliance at an angle of 90 degrees to the surface of where hair is to be removed.
3. Always work with both hands: carefully stretch the skin with one hand while moving the appliance with the other. Only move your hair remover against the direction of the growth of your hair. Do not use circular or back-and-forth motions.
4. Slowly move the hair remover, while pressing down lightly. Careful not to press the appliance down too hard against your skin; it might slow down and be less effective.

Removing hair from sensitive areas:

To remove hair from sensitive areas, we recommend putting the accessory for sensitive areas on the head of your hair remover. It reduces the number of hair remover disks so that you can remove hair more smoothly and with greater precision.

If your hair is long (longer than 1 cm), we recommend cutting it with scissors before using your hair remover, preferably set at speed I.

1. To remove hair from your underarms, move the appliance using an upwards motion, then a second time using a downwards motion.
2. To remove hair from your bikini line, carefully stretch your skin and move the appliance working from the outside in.

C-Moisturising

After hair removal, we recommend using a moisturising milk to soften your skin. Apply the milk then massage it in using circular motions to help the skin absorb it.

IMPORTANT

• Only use BaByliss Miniliss for hair removal and following the instructions in this manual.
• Do not remove hair from areas with open wounds, cuts, burns, warts, moles, sunburnt skin or varicose veins. Do not use if you are suffering from a skin irritation, skin infections like psoriasis or eczema on the legs.
• Do not use for removing hair from your face, head, chest, eyebrows, eyelashes or genitals. Only use the Miniliss to remove hair from your legs, bikini line, arms and underarms.

TIPS FOR SUCCESSFUL SHAVE

Preparing your skin

Before beginning, check that your skin is perfectly clean and dry. Do not apply cream or moisturising milk. Exfoliate your skin prior to shaving to eliminate any dead cells from the skin and straighten all the hair.

1. Shaving your legs

Attach the shaving head to the BaByliss Miniliss. Switch the unit on (ON button). Hold the Miniliss at a right angle to the area to be shaved. Always work with both hands: gently pull your skin with one hand while holding the unit in the other. Move the Miniliss slowly while

pressing lightly. Careful not to press down too much on the unit as it will likely slow down and be less effective.

2. Shaving sensitive areas

If your hair is long (more than 1cm we recommend using the trimmer head to trim it before using shaving head.

Begin by moving the unit in an upward motion to shave your underarms, then shave a second time using a downward motion.

To shave the bikini line, gently pull the skin tight and move the unit from the outside in.

3. To style the bikini area

The BaByliss Miniliss has 2 cutting guides - 6mm & 12mm precision. The shaving head lets you style the bikini area by making the desired adjustment to the hair length. Begin with the biggest length guide; it is important to become accustomed to using the different lengths. You might then repeat the procedure with a shorter cutting guide.

Turn the unit on (ON button).

Hold the unit at a slight angle to the skin and move slowly against the direction of growth.

To finish the contours perfectly, use the shaving head (see: 1. Shaving the Legs and 2. Shaving Sensitive Areas).

Caution: Do not apply perfume or deodorant to area for 24 hours after shaving.

IMPORTANT

Do not use the unit on open wounds, cuts, burns, verrucas, beauty spots,

sunburns or varicose veins. Do not use on skin irritations or infections, like psoriasis or eczema.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Run the little brush between the disks after each use.
• We recommend you regularly disinfect the heads and accessories with alcohol. Never immerse the appliance in water.
• For maximum hygiene, the depilation head can be removed and easily rinsed under running water.
