Straighten and sculpt your hair fully! No longer any need to wait until your hair is completely dry. Thanks to the exclusive Wet N' Dry evaporation system, from now on you can use your straightener on damp hair. By using the dampness in your hair, you can straighten more deeply and thus obtain results that are even softer and silkier, and a hold that is even longer lasting.

Your straighteners combine a state-of-the-art self-regulating heating element, the Advanced Ceramic Technology, which allows precise and continuous electronic temperature control. Because of the ACT, the unit heats up instantly, reaches a very high temperature, maintains a stable temperature to the nearest degree, and responds and recovers very quickly.

The straightener heating plates have a new Ceramic and Titanium micro-particle coating. Thanks to this technology, the plates are smoother and they guarantee perfect glide to respect your hair even more.

Finally, the BaByliss I pro 230 Ionic Ultimate straighteners have the ionic function. Negative ions are distributed through the hair during straightening to reduce frizz and static electricity.

USE

To straighten your hair

• Prepare your hair for straightening: wash and blow dry your hair and untangle using a large-toothed comb.
- Separate your hair into sections. Clip the upper layers to the top or your head to work with the layers underneath.
- Plug in the BaByliss I pro 230 Ionic Ultimate straightener and press the 'button.
When using the unit for the first time, you might notice a little smoke and a distinct odour: this is common and will disappear in the following use.
- Select the desired temperature using the temperature

selector. Generally, it is recommended that you select a lower temperature for hair that is fine, bleached and/or damaged, and a higher temperature for hair that is curly, thick and/or difficult to style. Because every hair type is different, we recommend using position 1 the first time. For following uses, you can slowly increase the temperature if necessary. See the table below for reference:

• The red flashing indicator light: after a very brief heat-up time, your straighteners are ready to use; the red LED stays on, the green LED indicates the ionic function of your straighteners.
  • Take a section of hair about 2 to 3 cm wide and place it between the 2 heating plates close to the roots.
• Press the handles of the straightener, grip the

straightener tightly to hold the section and slide it slowly from the roots to the ends. Repeat if necessary, then release the handles.

• Take a new section and repeat until you have straightened all of your hair.
- Note! Every time you use the straightener, there might be a little smoke. This could result from evaporating sebum or the remnants of hair products (leave-in hair care, spray, etc.) or damp hair.
- Give your hair the final touch. Set the style with a light mist of hairspray or a small amount of mousse, but do not brush your hair.
• After use, press the ⏻ button and unplug the straightener.

To shape your hair

The BaByliss I pro 230 Ionic Ultimate straightener can also be used to accent certain sections of hair (to straighten the fringe or create a tousled look, etc.)

• To style your hair with the ends curling under, follow the above instructions but turn the appliance inwards (as you would with a brush when blow-drying). Hold in place for a few seconds, then release.
• To have the ends curl out, use the same movement but turn the straightener outward.

MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the straightening iron and allow to cool completely.
• Clean the plates using a soft, dampened cloth, without soap, to preserve the optimal quality of the plates. Do not scratch the plates.
• To protect the plates, store the straightening iron with the plates closed tightly.
