pgowsnmewnr Important safety instructions 1 Caution: do not use the appliance in the vicinty of a bath, shower or swimming- pool, over a washbasin filed with water or near any other receptacle containing water. Protect the appliance from moisture and splashing water and do not operate it with wet hands. In the viciniy of any water source, there is a risk even when the applance is switched off. Therefore, always remove the plug from the wall socket after use, especially if the appliance is being used in a bathroom. Additional protection is available by fiting: an eartheakage circuit-breaker with a rated tripping current not exceeding 30mA into your bathroom installation. Do not touch any part of the appliance except the grip area As the heating plates operate at high temperatures, contact with the hair should be limited to a maximum of a few seconds at a time. Do not use the appliance on synthetic hair- pieces or wigs; the heat emitted might cause damage to the synthetic fibres.
