How to use the FAGOR LC-320 juice extractor?

Assemble the appliance making sure the lid is properly locked (the safety tab must engage). Plug in, set the switch to position 1 or 2, then insert cut food into the chute using the pusher. Never push with your fingers. Turn off and unplug after use.

What foods can I use with this extractor?

You can use most fruits and vegetables (apples, carrots, beets, citrus, etc.) after removing pits and hard peels. Avoid soft foods like banana, avocado, eggplant, fig or blackberry which do not liquefy properly.

What to do if the appliance does not start?

Check that the lid is properly installed and turned counterclockwise until locked. The appliance has a safety device that prevents operation if the lid is not correctly placed. Also ensure the plug is plugged in and the switch is set to 1 or 2.

How to clean the filter and accessories?

Disassemble the appliance immediately after use to prevent residues from drying. Wash the filter with a brush under lukewarm water with mild detergent. Do not use bleach. The accessories (pusher, lid, filter, support) are not dishwasher safe. Clean the main body with a slightly damp cloth without immersing it.

How often should I replace the filter?

The filter should be replaced every 2 years. If you notice any deformation, stop using immediately and replace with an original replacement filter.

Can I use the extractor without the filter?

No, the filter is essential to separate juice from pulp. Never operate the appliance without the filter or with a damaged filter.

Is the appliance suitable for oranges and citrus?

Yes, but you must first peel the citrus fruits (orange, lemon, grapefruit) as the skin is bitter and can clog the filter.

Can the appliance grind seeds or pits?

No, remove hard pits from fruits (cherries, peaches, plums, etc.) before inserting. Apple seeds are tolerated in small quantities.

How to prevent juice from overflowing?

Do not exceed the maximum bowl capacity (approx. 1 liter). If preparing large quantities, empty the pulp container regularly.

What to do if the filter is clogged?

Turn off the appliance, unplug it, and clean the filter using a brush under lukewarm water. For small-seeded fruits (grapes, currants), clean it more frequently.

2. GENERAL ADVICE

Read the following instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.

• After removing the packaging, check that the appliance is in perfect condition. If in doubt, do not use and contact your nearest authorised Technical Assistance Service.
• The plastic bag in which the appliance is wrapped should be kept out of the reach of children, as it could constitute a safety hazard.
• In the event of the socket and plug being incompatible, have an authorised Technical Assistance Service replace the plug.
• The use of adapters, multi-sockets and/or extension leads is not advised. In the event of their use being absolutely necessary, always ensure that they conform to current safety standards, and take care not to exceed the indicated maximum voltage level.
• In the event of technical failure or improper working, contact an authorised Technical Assistance Service.
• The appliance is designed for use as described in this manual (for making fruit and vegetable juices). Any other use is considered unsuitable and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage resulting from improper or irresponsible use, and/or from repairs carried out by unqualified personnel.

Take special care to follow the basic safety regulations outlined below:

• Check that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the appliance's characteristics plate.
• Do not touch the appliance with wet or damp hands.
• Do not use the appliance barefoot, or when your feet are damp or wet.
• Do not pull on the mains cable to unplug the appliance.
• Do not leave the appliance open to the elements (rain, sun, frost, etc.).
• Do not allow children or the mentally disabled to use the appliance without supervision. Unplug the appliance when not in use.
• Do not leave the appliance on unnecessarily, as this may constitute a health hazard.
• Do not submerge the appliance in water.

3. BEFORE USING

Before using your juice extractor for the first time, wash the pusher (A), lid (C), filter (F) and filter support (G) and rinse thoroughly. To do so, disassemble the juice extractor as indicated below:

1. Make sure the appliance is unplugged and the switch is set to 0.
2. Remove the pusher (A) from the lid.
3. Rotate the lid clockwise and lift (fig. 1). Remove the filter (F) and the filter support (G) by pulling upwards (fig. 2).

To reassemble the blender, follow the above instructions in reverse order.

Assembling the lid:

The lid should be assembled so that when it is turned in a clockwise direction, the safety tongue (D) slots into the groove located in the safety mechanism (E) (fig. 3).

Important: The appliance has a safety mechanism that prevents the machine from working if the lid is not closed correctly. Do not use this safety mechanism as an On/Off switch.

4. HOW TO USE

• With the juice extractor fully assembled and the switch set to 0, plug the appliance into the mains socket and set the switch to 1 or 2.
• Select the fruit and/or vegetables you wish to process, peel (in the case of citrus fruit,

watermelons, pineapples, kiwi fruit, etc.), chop and remove any stones (in the case of cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, etc.) before tipping them into the feeder opening.

- Use the pusher to gently push the fruit and/or vegetables down into the machine (fig. 9).

Never use your fingers to push food into the blender.

- When you have finished working, set the switch to zero and unplug the appliance from the mains socket.

If you need to remove the lid between uses, switch the appliance off by setting the switch to 0.

Warning: check that the switch is set to 0 when the appliance is not in use.

5. CLEANING

• Switch the appliance off by setting the switch to 0.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains socket.
• Disassemble the juice extractor (see section entitled "Before Using").
• Clean the deposit immediately after use to prevent the peel/pulp from drying. Wash components with warm soapy water, using a brush to help clean the filter. Do not wash any of the components in the dishwasher. Do not use bleach when cleaning the filter.
• Never submerge the main body (H) in water or hold under a running tap. Clean by wiping with a damp cloth.

6. HOW TO GET THE BEST RESULTS FROM YOUR APPLIANCE

• Switch the appliance on before inserting the fruit and/or vegetables.
• Clean the filter regularly when blending grapes, quinces, blueberries, or blackcurrants, etc.
• The appliance is not designed to blend bananas, avocados, aubergines, figs, blackberries, etc.
• Do not leave the appliance switched on for long periods without inserting food.
• Never push food into the blender with your hands or any other object. Use the pusher provided.
• If the filter becomes misshapen, do not use it again. Replace it. Always insist on original spare parts.
• In any case, the filter should be replaced every two years.
• Warning: always exercise extreme caution when handling the filter.
• DO NOT USE THE APPLIANCE IF THE LID, SAFETY MECHANISMS, OR FILTER ARE DAMAGED OR IN POOR CONDITION.

7. INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT DISPOSAL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCES

At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection center or to a dealer providing this service.

Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources.
