SAFETY WARNINGS
- After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and check for any damage caused during transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact the authorised assistance service.
- Do not let children play with the packaging! Keep the plastic wrapping out of the reach of children; risk of suffocation!
- Before connecting the appliance, check that the mains voltage data reported on the identification plate corresponds to that of the available electric mains. The identification plate is attached to the appliance.
- This appliance must be used solely for the purpose for which it was designed, namely, as a blender for home use. Any other use is improper and potentially dangerous.
- The appliance may be used by children who are at least 8 years old, by persons with reduced physical, sensorial or mental abilities or persons lacking experience only if they have received prior instructions concerning its safe use and if they are informed about the dangers associated with this product or if supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety. Children may not play with the appliance. The appliance cannot be cleaned or serviced by children without adult supervision. Keep the appliance and power supply cord away from children under 8 when the appliance is on or cooling down.
• DO NOT use the appliance with damp or wet hands or feet.
• DO NOT pull the cord or appliance to unplug the latter from the mains socket. - DO NOT expose the appliance to humidity or weather conditions (rain, sun, etc.).
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning or performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.
- In case of a fault or malfunctioning of the appliance, switch it off and do not tamper with it. If the appliance needs to be repaired, contact an authorised technical assistance centre.
- If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorised technical service centre, so as to prevent all risks.
- Ⓧ NEVER immerse the appliance in water and never place it under running water.
- The appliance is not meant to be operated by an external timer or with a separate remote control system or similar systems.
- DO NOT use the appliance near a washbasin full of water. During use, the appliance must be placed in such a way that it cannot fall in the washbasin.
- DO NOT use near a hob. Pay attention that the cable does not come into contact with hot, incandescent surfaces, open flames, pots and other utensils.
- NEVER touch moving parts.
- Failure to follow these instructions or misuse of the product may cause injury.

DESCRIPTION OF THE APPLIANCE AND ACCESSORIES

ATTENTION!
- Always disconnect the plug from the socket before mounting or removing parts or cleaning the appliance.
- Handle the stainless steel filter (4) with care - the teeth and central blades are very sharp.
- DO NOT use the appliance if the stainless steel filter (4) or the lid (3) is damaged, cracked or broken. In this case, contact an Authorised Assistance centre.
- The stainless steel filter (4) and the lid (3) must be replaced if dropped or broken, and as soon as the first signs of wear or deterioration are noted.
• Ⓧ DO NOT open the safety handle (7) or the lid (3) while the motor is running. - DO NOT use your fingers to press the fruit or vegetables, always use the food pusher (1).
- DO NOT overfill the appliance as the motor can slow down and be damaged. If excessive pulp is retained between the stainless steel filter (4) and the lid (3), immediately turn off the appliance and remove it (see the Cleaning and Maintenance chapter).
- DO NOT exert too much pressure on the food pusher (1) while pressing as this could damage the motor.

• DO NOT insert hard or fibrous fruit such as sugar cane or the core of a pineapple.
- ✉ NEVER use ingredients other than fruit and vegetables, such as chocolate, ice, nuts, seeds, etc.
- DO NOT exceed the operating time of 2 minutes. Allow the appliance to cool before resuming operation.
- Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface.
- The juice must be consumed immediately in order to prevent prolonged contact with the air, which causes it to oxidise, thereby altering the colour, taste and flavour.
- Remove the rind that may be too bitter or inedible (oranges, pineapple, mango, kiwi, etc.).
- Remove the pits or large seeds (oranges, peaches, apricots, prunes, cherries, etc.).
- Wash fruit and vegetables well before pressing.
CLEANING BEFORE FIRST USE
- Unpack the appliance.
- Wash the removable parts: food pusher (1), lid (3), juice chute (5), juice container (8), froth separator (9) and the pulp container (12) by hand or in the dishwasher.
• Make sure the maximum water temperature in the dishwasher does not exceed 60° C. - The stainless steel filter (4) is only to be washed by hand.
ASSEMBLY
- Insert the juice chute (5) on the motor unit (10) [Fig. B].
- Insert the stainless steel filter (4) into the juice chute (5) and press it completely until a "clack" is heard [Fig. C].
- Insert the pulp container (12) under the juice chute (5), from the bottom part [Fig. D].
- Insert the lid (3) on the juice chute (5) and the pulp container (12) [Fig. E].
- Lift the safety handle (7) until it is fitted in the coupling seats (13) [Fig. F].
- Insert the froth separator (9) into the juice container (8).
- Place the juice container (8) next to the dispensing spout (6) to collect the juice. [Fig. G].
USE
Proceed as follows once the installation is complete:
- Insert the plug into the socket.
• Activate the appliance by rotating the speed knob (11) to position 1 or 2. - Insert the fruit or vegetables into the opening of the lid (2).
- Press the fruit or vegetables with the food pusher (1) [Fig. H].
• Once pressed, turn the appliance off by rotating the speed knob (11) to position 0.
- Remove the plug from the socket.
- Wait for the stainless steel filter (4) to stop completely before opening the safety handle (7).
• Pour the juice into a glass.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
After having used the appliance, it must be immediately cleaned in order to prevent the food from clogging the stainless steel filter (4) once it dries.
- Remove the plug from the socket.
- Wait for the stainless steel filter (4) to stop completely before opening the safety handle (7).
- Wash the removable parts: food pusher (1), lid (3), juice chute (5), juice container (8), froth separator (9) and the pulp container (12) by hand or in the dishwasher.
• Make sure the maximum water temperature in the dishwasher does not exceed 60° C. - The stainless steel filter (4) is only to be washed by hand, under running water, using a brush normally used for dishes.
- Clean the motor unit (10) with a well-wrung moist sponge.
PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
Should one of the problems indicated occur, adopt the proposed solution:

| The juice is not dispensed properly. | Verify that the stainless steel filter (4) is not clogged. If so, clean it. |
| The stainless steel filter (4) is not easily cleaned. | Place it in hot water with dishwashing liquid for 10 minutes before cleaning it. |
| The juice chute (5), the lid (3) and the food pusher (1) are stained. | Any stains are due to the carotenoids or colour in fruit and vegetables and do not constitute a manufacturing defect. |
DISPOSAL

The packaging is made up of recyclable material. Dispose of it in compliance with the environmental protection standards.

The product must be disposed of properly, in accordance with the provisions of European standard 2002/96/EC. The recyclable materials contained in the appliance must be recovered so as to prevent environmental pollution. For further information, contact the local disposal body or the appliance dealer.
