Frequently Asked Questions - SJ 1000 IMETEC

How do I clean the SJ 1000 juicer?
The removable parts (juice jug, pulp container, filter, lid, and pusher) are dishwasher safe on the top rack. For hand washing, use warm soapy water and the cleaning brush provided. Dry all parts thoroughly before reassembly.
Can I juice soft fruits like berries or bananas?
Yes, but for best results, use the low speed setting for soft fruits. Bananas are not recommended as they produce a puree rather than juice. For berries, a small amount of firmer fruit (like apple) can help push them through.
What is the correct way to assemble the Juicer?
First, place the motor unit on a flat surface. Insert the filter basket into the bowl, then lock it by turning clockwise. Attach the lid, ensuring the feed chute aligns, and secure the locking arm until it clicks. Place the pulp container at the back and the juice jug under the spout.
Why is the juicer vibrating excessively?
Excessive vibration often indicates an unbalanced filter basket or overloading. Ensure the filter is properly seated and not clogged. Also, the pulse of the motor at high speed can cause vibration if the base is not on a level surface. Do not exceed the maximum capacity of the feed tube.
How do I prevent the motor from overheating?
The SJ 1000 has an overload protection system. If the motor becomes too hot, it will automatically shut off. To prevent this, do not operate continuously for more than 2 minutes without a break. Allow the juicer to rest for at least 10 minutes after each use.
Can I juice leafy greens like spinach or wheatgrass?
Yes, for leafy greens, use the low speed setting. It is best to roll them into a ball or wrap them around a firmer vegetable (like a carrot) to help them feed through the chute. The included pusher can also be used.
What spare parts are available for this model?
Available spare parts include the stainless steel filter basket, pusher, juice jug, pulp container, and lid. Contact Imetec customer support or authorized dealers to purchase genuine parts.
How do I know which speed to use?
Use the high speed (2) for hard fruits and vegetables like apples, carrots, and beets. Use low speed (1) for soft fruits, leafy greens, and herbs. This maximizes juice yield and prevents overloading.
Is the juice jug designed to reduce foam?
The juice jug comes with a foam separator built into the lid. Pouring through the lid helps reduce froth. You can also let the juice sit for a minute after extraction to allow foam to settle.
What should I do if the locking arm does not secure the lid?
Ensure the lid is properly aligned with the locking hooks. The arm should click into place. If it doesn't, check for food residue in the locking mechanism. Clean the area and try again. The juicer will not operate unless the lid is locked correctly.

How to make sorbet with the IMETEC SJ 1000 juicer?
Frequently Asked Questions - 06/21/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The IMETEC SJ 1000 is a centrifugal juicer designed to extract juice from fruits and vegetables. To make sorbet with this device, there is no specific sorbet function mentioned in the standard features of juicers in this range.

However, you can prepare a sorbet base using your juicer:

  • Extract juice from fresh fruits with your SJ 1000
  • Pour the juice into an ice cube tray or a shallow container
  • Place in the freezer for 2-3 hours
  • Break up the partially frozen mixture with a fork every 30 minutes to achieve a granular texture
  • Freeze completely before serving

For optimal results, refer to the specific user manual for your SJ 1000 model regarding recommended fruits and extraction tips.
