Frequently Asked Questions - SJ 700 IMETEC

How do I assemble the Imetec SJ 700 juicer?
Place the motor base on a flat surface. Insert the filter basket into the bowl, then lock the bowl onto the base. Place the lid on top and secure it with the locking arm. Finally, position the juice jug and pulp container.
Refer to the user manual for detailed assembly instructions.
Can I clean the parts in the dishwasher?
Yes, the juice jug, pulp container, filter basket, lid, and pusher are dishwasher safe. However, the motor base and locking arm should only be wiped with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
What is the best way to prevent clogging?
Cut fruits and vegetables into pieces that fit the feeding chute (max 3.5 cm). Alternate between hard and soft produce. Use the reverse function if available (model dependent) to clear blockages. Do not overload the juicer.
How do I extract maximum juice?
Feed ingredients slowly and use the pusher gently. For leafy greens, roll them into balls before feeding. Re-juice the pulp for extra yield. Use the lower speed for soft fruits and higher speed for hard vegetables.
The juicer stops working during use. What should I do?
Check if the locking arm is properly engaged. The safety switch will prevent operation if not locked. Also, check if the motor has overheated; let it cool down for 15 minutes before restarting. Some models have a thermal cut-off.
Is the pulp container sufficient for large batches?
The pulp container has a capacity of 1.5 L. For larger batches, you may need to empty it periodically. The juice jug holds 1 L. Consider preparing ingredients in stages.
Can I juice whole fruits like apples or oranges?
For apples, remove seeds and cut to fit the chute. Oranges should be peeled to avoid bitter residue. Citrus fruits can be juiced with or without rind, but peeling yields better taste.
How do I store fresh juice?
Fresh juice is best consumed immediately. If storing, pour into an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. Add a squeeze of lemon to reduce oxidation. Do not store in metal containers.
What should I do if the filter basket gets damaged?
Use the juicer only if the filter basket is intact. Contact Imetec customer service or an authorized dealer to order a replacement part. Do not attempt to repair the basket yourself.
Does the SJ 700 model have a reverse function?
The Imetec SJ 700 may or may not have a reverse function. Check the control panel: if present, use the reverse button to clear clogs. If not, turn off and unplug, then manually remove blockage.

The product is packaged in recyclable materials. Dispose of packaging in accordance with the environmental protection regulations.

Pursuant to art. 26 of Legislative Decree 14 March 2014, No. 49 "Implementation of Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)", the crossed bin symbol on the appliance or its packaging indicates that the product must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its useful life.

The user must therefore take the appliance to an appropriate recycling centre for electrical and electronic equipment. Alternatively, instead of handling the disposal, the appliance can be handed over to the retailer when a new, equivalent appliance is purchased.

Appropriate separate collection for the subsequent procedure for the decommissioned appliance for recycling, which includes treatment and environmentally friendly disposal helps prevent adverse effects on the environment and health and promotes reusing and/or recycling materials that the appliance consists of.
