USER MANUAL Steam Beauty JC-350 Joycare
Thank you for purchasing a facial sauna from the JOYCARE product line. For proper use of the appliance read the following instructions carefully.
WARNING
Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those described in this manual. Any other use is considered improper and therefore dangerous.
This appliance is not intended for professional use and is not suitable for medical use. Only use the appliance for personal home use.
Do not use the appliance if you suffer from heart disease, skin rashes, inflammation, swelling, sensitive areas, diabetes, cuts, burns, eczema or psoriasis. If you are pregnant or have health problems, consult your doctor before using the appliance.
In case of any doubts or concerns about your health, always consult your doctor before using the appliance.
Before connecting the appliance to the network, make sure the local mains voltage matches the voltage indicated on the appliance.
Use distilled or pure water.
Before use, make sure that the appliance is intact and without any visible damage.
In case of doubt do not use the appliance and contact an authorized service centre.
Always unplug the appliance when it is not in use, before cleaning it and whenever you notice that it is not working properly.
Before pulling out the plug, always turn the switch off. Always pull on the plug, not the cable.
Never leave the appliance unattended when children are present. Keep this appliance out of their reach.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RECOVER IT IF IT FALLS INTO THE WATER.
Never use the appliance while you are asleep or when drowsy.
Do not ever use or place the appliance under a blanket, pillows or towels, because it could overheat and cause a fire and/or electric shock.
Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself but instead contact an authorized service centre.
Do not use the appliance along with an aerosol or if oxygen is being supplied to the environment by any other appliance.
Never insert objects of any kind into the appliance's slots. Do not block air outlets.
This appliance may be used by children of more than 8 years of age, persons with physical, sensory or mental capabilities or inexpert persons only if they have been previously trained in using it in a safe manner, and only if they have been informed of the dangers the product can cause. Children may not play with the appliance. Children may not clean or carry out any maintenance on the appliance without adult supervision.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid any risk. If you use the appliance in a bathroom, you need to unplug it after use, because the proximity to water can be dangerous even when the power is off.
Use the appliance only with the facial sauna mask or mask for the area around your nose. Immediately turn off the power if a malfunction occurs during use and disconnect the power plug from the socket.
Do not keep your face too close to the mask, because the hot steam can cause scalding. Close your eyes during use and protect areas vulnerable to heat.
Do not use the appliance for more than 20 minutes.
In the event of an outbreak of rashes or other unusual signs on your skin, stop using oils and herbs. Discontinue use also if you feel any pain or feel sick, and contact your doctor. Do not replace components while using the appliance, since the spillage of hot liquids may mean exposure to the risk of scalding. Warning: the appliance will not turn off automatically, even if all the water has evaporated from the water tank.
If the appliance is accidentally dropped into water, unplug it immediately.
Before you use it again, please have the appliance checked by a qualified electrician.
The appliance emits steam (and has hot surfaces), so if you are not sensitive to heat please be especially careful.
Always unplug the appliance before filling the water tank. Do not exceed the maximum limit indicated.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CORRECT USE
This appliance is intended only for use on people's faces. The use of the facial sauna is an excellent base for facial beauty treatment. The face's skin is prepared in an optimal way to receive further treatments, e.g. deep cleaning, hydration, application of face masks etc. Beauty salons very often begin facial treatment with steam treatment. The steam, which acts as a stimulant, increases circulation to the skin, opens the pores and allows better removal of impurities. This is an excellent starting point for any type of facial treatment. Beauty products penetrate the skin deeply through the pores, thereby optimizing their effectiveness.
USAGE TIME
The duration of treatment should be established on the basis of the characteristics of the user's skin. In any case we recommend not exceeding the duration defined below:
Sensitive skin: no more than 10 minutes each time.
Oily skin: no more than 10-15 minutes each time.
Dry skin: no more than 8-10 minutes each time.
In any case do not use the facial sauna for more than 20 minutes a day. We recommend no more than 2-3 times a week.
USING THE APPLIANCE
Place the appliance on a flat and stable surface that is not sensitive to water. Pour 50 ml of water into the appliance's water tank using the measure. Do not exceed the maximum fill level. Never fill the water tank directly under a tap, but only with the help of the measure provided. Do not use oils, herbs or other plants instead of water, but only by topping up a sufficient quantity of water.
USE OF THE FACE MASK.
Unwind the cable completely. Insert the plug into the socket. Then rotate the knob clockwise until the red pilot light is lit. Firstly turn the knob to setting "2" to speed up the heating. After about 3 minutes, steam will start to rise. Turn the knob to setting "1" to reduce the flow of steam.
Adjustable steam discharges:
The intensity of the escaping steam can be further adjusted by turning the valve on the back of the face mask. To avoid scalding, do not directly touch the steam being discharged.
Now position yourself in front of the appliance. Bend forwards until your face is not on top of the mask. If you feel that the steam is too hot, increase your distance from the appliance to avoid scalding.
Warning:
During treatment, always return the switch to position "1". Do not keep your face too close to the mask, as the strong intensity of the steam can cause scalding.
If you want to end the treatment or when the water has evaporated, turn the knob to setting "0". The pilot light will switch off. After use, rinse your face with cold water, then apply cream or a face mask. The opening of the pores allow active ingredients to deeply penetrate your skin. Do not use the facial sauna for more than 20 minutes a day. We recommend 2-3 sessions per week.
USE OF MEDICINAL HERBS, OILS AND OTHER ESSENTIAL OILS
The essential oils applicator allows the use of medicinal herbs, oils and other essential oils for aromatic treatment. In this way, medicinal herbs, oils and other essential oils, mixed with water vapour, are as effective as they possibly can be. However, saline solutions should not be used.
Only the following can be used: oils, medicinal herbs and essential oils which can be used with water vapour masks and that have been approved for this purpose by the manufacturer.
Open the lid of the essential oils applicator. Put a few drops of oil on a cotton ball. Insert the cotton pad, then close the essential oils applicator.
USE OF THE STEAM MASK AROUND THE NOSE/MOUTH
Since the nasal mucous membrane is extremely sensitive, do not set the knob on level 2 while wearing the nose mask. Do not hold your nose too close to the mask during use. Treatment should not last for more than 10 minutes per day and must be carried out no more than 2-3 times a week.
CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF THE APPLIANCE
Always unplug the appliance before emptying the water tank. Never pull the plug out of the socket by pulling on the power cable or with wet hands.
Allow the appliance to cool down and then drain the remaining liquid from the container, making it pour out of the evaporator's container.
Take overall care to ensure that no liquid enters the appliance through the knob, the network cable or the bottom of the appliance. After use, clean the device with water and mild soap and thoroughly dry the container and mask each time they are used, to prevent a build-up of grease and other residues. This will ensure the maximum effectiveness and prolonged the life cycle of the appliance.
Before using the appliance again, cool it down completely.
NEVER PLACE THE BASE OF THIS APPLIANCE IN WATER, SINCE THIS WOULD DAMAGE THE APPLIANCE. Never use abrasive cleaners, chemicals or brushes. Empty the container and dry with a soft cloth. Clean the base of the appliance with a soft, damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. If it is not working properly always contact an authorized service centre. The appliance must always be cleaned after use to prevent the accumulation of grease and other residues.

DISPOSAL
The appliance, including its removable parts and accessories, should not be disposed of along with domestic waste at the end of its life cycle, but in accordance with European Directive. Since it needs to be treated separately from domestic waste it must be taken to a recycling centre for electrical and electronic equipment or returned to the dealer when buying a replacement. Severe penalties are applicable for non compliance with these requirements.
