What should I do if juice flows out of the juicer when used without the glass jug?

Stop juicing immediately. Remove the juicing cone, strainer insert and bowl from the motor unit. Remove any foreign object blocking the juice outlet valve or clean the strainer insert if it is full. Reassemble and resume juicing.

The glass jug overflows during juice extraction, what should I do?

Stop juicing immediately. Clean and dry all parts, then reassemble the juicer on an empty jug. Resume juicing by pressing fewer fruits per cycle (maximum 10 fruits or 2 kg).

Why does the juicing cone change rotation direction quickly?

This occurs if you apply too much pressure on the cone. Reduce pressure until the cone rotates normally.

Can I wash the accessories in the dishwasher?

Yes, the glass jug, cap, support, bowl, strainer insert and juicing cones with their lid can be washed in the dishwasher. The motor unit must be cleaned only with a damp cloth.

How to use the juicer with the glass jug?

Place the prepared juicer on the glass jug placed on its support. Plug in, place a citrus half on the cone and press down. The appliance stops automatically when pressure is released. Unplug before removing the juicer.

How to use the juicer without the glass jug?

Use the juicer directly on the bowl (capacity approx. 100 ml). After extraction, pour the juice via the spout or into a container. Ideal for small quantities like lemon juice.

This appliance is designed for the preparation of normal household quantities in the home, or in household-like, non-commercial environments. This appliance is suitable for pressing citrus fruits, such as lemons, oranges and grapefruits. It must not be used for processing other substances/objects.

Only use the appliance indoors at room temperature and up to 2000 m above sea level. Do not place the appliance on or near hot surfaces, e.g. hobs.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Keep children under 8 years of age away from the appliance and connecting cable and do not allow them to use the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised. Children shall not play with the appliance.

Never manually move the pressing cone/drive shaft.

The appliance may only be connected to a power supply with alternating current via a correctly installed socket with earthing. Ensure that the protective conductor system of the domestic supply has been correctly installed.

Connect and operate the appliance only according to the type plate specifications. Use only if power cord and appliance show no signs of damage. To avoid potential hazards, repairs such as replacing a damaged cable must only be carried out by our customer service personnel. Do not connect the appliance to or operate it by means of a time

switch or remote control socket.

The mains cable must not come into contact with hot parts or be pulled across sharp edges. Never immerse the appliance or mains cable in water or place it in the dishwasher!

Before using for the first time

Before the new appliance can be used, it must be fully unpacked, cleaned and assembled. To do this, perform the following steps:

1. Remove the motor unit, glass carafe and all accessories from the packaging.
2. Remove any packaging material that is present.
3. Check all parts for completeness. → Fig. A / B
4. Inspect all parts for visible damage.

Caution!

Never operate a damaged appliance!

1. Thoroughly clean and dry all parts before using for the first time.

Preparing the citrus press and glass carafe

Inspect the discharge valve before inserting the collecting tray. It must not be blocked by a foreign object.

1. Place the filter insert into the collecting tray and rotate until it clicks into place.
2. Position the pressing cone on the drive shaft.

Warning

Never manually move the pressing cone/drive shaft.

The citrus press is prepared.

1. Place the glass carafe on the saucer. Note: Always use the saucer. This provides anti-slip protection and noise reduction.
2. Place the prepared citrus press onto the glass carafe until the opening is sealed tight.

Using the citrus press with the glass carafe

Use the citrus press with the glass carafe in order to press larger quantities of juice, such as freshly squeezed orange juice.

Caution!

The juice is collected in the glass carafe. The volume capacity of the glass carafe is 1.0 l. End the pressing procedure before the juice reaches the bottom edge of the motor unit.

1. Position the prepared citrus press with glass carafe on a stable and level work surface.
2. Connect the mains cable to the socket.
3. Position the halved citrus fruits with the cut surface on the pressing cone and press down.

The citrus press starts running once the pressed product is pressed onto the pressing cone. The pressing cone rotates either clockwise or anticlockwise. Once the pressed product is released and pressed once again, the pressing cone changes its rotation direction. If excess pressure is applied, the pressing cone changes the rotation direction in rapid succession. Reduce the pressure until the pressing cone rotates normally once more.

Caution!

Press a maximum of 10 fruits (approx. 2 kg) one after the other. Then halt the pressing procedure until the motor unit has once again reached room temperature. Only then should the pressing procedure be resumed.

Notes:

To obtain the largest amount of juice, the pressing procedure should be repeated a few times. The filter insert with the rough peel and the seeds should be emptied if required. 4. To switch off the appliance, reduce the pressure on the pressing cone. The citrus press switches off automatically. 5. Disconnect the mains cable from the socket. 6. Remove the citrus press from the glass carafe.

The discharge valve closes automatically once the citrus press is removed from the glass carafe.

1. For the purpose of storage, for example in the refrigerator, seal the glass carafe with the lid.
2. To pour out the juice, remove the lid.

Use the citrus press without the glass carafe in order to press smaller quantities of juice, such as lemon juice for use in baking or for seasoning fish.

Caution!

The juice is collected in the collecting tray. The volume capacity of the collecting tray is approx. 100 ml. This corresponds approximately to the juice from 2 medium-sized lemons. End the pressing procedure before the juice reaches the top edge of the collecting tray.

1. Position the prepared citrus press on a stable and level work surface.
2. Connect the mains cable to the socket.
3. Press the citrus fruits as described. → "Using the citrus press with the glass carafe" see page 13
4. Disconnect the mains cable from the socket.
5. Use the juice directly via the spout or pour into a container.

Before cleaning:

1. Remove the motor unit from the glass carafe.
2. Remove the pressing cone, the filter insert and the collecting tray.

Wipe down the motor unit with a soft, damp cloth and dry it off.

Accessories

Clean the individual parts with a detergent solution and a soft cloth or sponge.

Note: The glass carafe, lid, saucer, collecting tray, filter insert, both pressing cones and the cover can also be cleaned in the dishwasher.

Prior to storage, always clean the appliance and allow all parts to dry. See "Care and daily cleaning" on page 14.

1. Fully assemble the citrus press and position it on the glass carafe.
2. Replace the cover.

Simple troubleshooting

Before inserting the strainer, check the outlet valve. It must not be clogged with foreign objects.

1. Insert the filter strainer into the strainer and turn it until it locks.
2. Install the juice extractor cone onto the drive shaft.

Warning

Danger of electric shock!

Never turn the juice extractor cone or the drive shaft by hand. The juice extractor for citrus fruits is ready for operation. 4. Place the glass on the base.

Note: Always use the base. It prevents slipping and reduces noise.

To extract large quantities of juice, for example, to obtain fresh orange juice, use the juice extractor with the glass.

Attention!

The juice is collected in a glass cup. The capacity of the glass cup is approximately 1.0 L. You must finish squeezing before the juice reaches the lower edge of the motor block.

1. Place the prepared juicer with the glass cup on a clean, horizontal surface.
2. Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
3. Press the pusher with the cut surface down onto the cone of the juicer.

As soon as the used fruit for juicing is placed on the cone of the juicer, the juicer will start working. The cone of the juicer rotates clockwise or counterclockwise. After lowering and raising the used fruit for juicing, the direction of rotation of the cone changes. If you press too hard, the cone of the juicer quickly changes direction of rotation. Reduce the pressure.

Enough so that the cone of the juicer rotates normally again.

Attention!

Squeeze the juice sequentially from a maximum of 10 fruits (approximately 2 kg). After this, pause the squeezing to allow the motor block to cool down to room temperature. Only after this continue squeezing.

Instructions:

To ensure optimal juice yield, repeat the squeezing several times. If necessary, clean the strainer from coarse fruit pulp and seeds. 4. To switch off, reduce the pressure on the cone of the juicer. The juicer switches off automatically. 5. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet. 6. Remove the juicer from the glass cup.

The outlet valve closes automatically after the juicer is removed from the glass cup.

1. For storage, for example, in the refrigerator, close the glass cup with the lid. 8. To pour the juice, remove the lid.

For squeezing small quantities of juice, for example lemon juice for seasoning or as a sauce for meat, use the juice squeezer without the glass cup.

Attention!

The juice is collected in the collection container. The capacity of the collection container is approximately 100 ml. This approximately corresponds to the juice of 2 medium-sized lemons. Squeezing stops as soon as the juice reaches the upper edge of the collection container.

1. Place the prepared juice squeezer on a clean, horizontal surface.
2. Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet.
3. Perform the squeezing process as described above. → «Using the juice squeezer with the glass cup» see p. 105
4. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet. 5. Use the juice directly through the strainer or pour it into any container.
