Frequently Asked Questions - WH-SDC03H3E51 PANASONIC

How to activate forced backup DHW mode?

In the quick menu, select the Force backup DHW icon and press ← to confirm. Note that this option is disabled if Force heating is activated.

How to use turbo heating?

Select the Turbo Heating icon in the quick menu and press ←. The powerful mode starts about 1 minute after confirmation. It allows reaching the temperature setpoint faster.

How to adjust silent mode?

Select the Silent mode icon and press ←. You can choose from 3 silence levels (1 = least silent, 3 = most silent). A timer can be programmed via Silence prog..

How to force backup heating?

In the quick menu, select Force backup heating and press ←. Note that this function is disabled when the system is in normal operation.

How to program the weekly schedule?

Select Weekly prog. in the quick menu. You can modify up to 6 programs per day, set the time, mode (heating/cooling) and temperature for each zone and the DHW tank.

How to force defrost?

Select the Force defrost icon in the quick menu. The screen displays 'Request accepted' once the mode is activated.

How to reset error codes?

Select Reset error codes in the quick menu. Make sure all units are stopped before restoring previous settings.

How to lock the remote control?

Select Remote lock in the quick menu, then confirm with 'Yes'. To unlock, press any key and enter the 4-digit password (default 0000).

How to reset the remote control password?

From the stop screen, hold down the ↩, ← and ▶ keys for 5 seconds. Select 'Reset' to reset the password to 0000.

What to do if the screen shows 'Disabled due to operation Run'?

This notification appears when you try to activate Force backup heating while the system is in normal operation. First stop the device before activating this function.

How to use the Quick Menu

After the initial settings have been completed, you can select a quick menu from the following options and edit the setting.

Select each setting and confirm the setting according to the instructions displayed at the bottom of the screen. (The icons refer to each selection key.)

To return to the Main Screen,

Press or ↻.

Note:

- If the system is not connected to the tank (Tank Connection is OFF), the Quick Menu screen will be displayed as right. Make sure the Tank Connection is ON.

Notes on operation icon

Example:

- Operation icon indicate with “............” = OFF

- Operation icon indicate with “——” = ON

Force DHW

Select this icon to turn the Tank DHW on or off.

Press ← to confirm your selection.

- Timer copy: Select to copy a timer setting.

Select the day(s) which you wish to edit using ▲▼ buttons.

If all 6 patterns are not preset, this screen will be displayed.

① Select pattern “1” \~ “6”.
② Set the hour and minutes of the Timer.
③ Select ON/OFF of the Timer.
④ Select the operation mode.
⑤ Set the temperature for both Zone 1 and 2 (if your system has the 2-Zone setting).

⑥ Set the Tank temperature.

Note:

• Timer is disabled when Force Heater is turned on or Heat-Cool SW is enabled.
• If you have preset the Weekly Timer on 2 zones, you must repeat the same procedure with Zone 2.

Force Defrost

Select to defrost the frozen pipes.

Press ← to confirm your selection.

(When the mode is accepted, below screen will be displayed.)

Error Reset

Select to restore the previous settings when error has occurred.

- Make sure all units are turned off before selecting this mode which restores the whole system to the previous settings.

R/C Lock

Select to lock the Remote Controller.

Press ← to confirm your selection.

Select "Yes".

(The Main Screen will be locked.)

- If "No" is selected, the screen will return to the Main Screen.

To unlock the Remote Controller Press any key.

Enter any 4 digits of number (if the number is correct, the screen will be unlocked).

To reset forgotten password (under operation OFF screen) Press ↩, ← and ▶ continuously for 5 seconds.
