Frequently Asked Questions - Armor T40 iGET

Is the iGET Armor T40 waterproof?
The iGET Armor T40 has an IP68 certification, meaning it is water and dust resistant. However, it is not fully waterproof. It can withstand immersion up to 1.5 meters for up to 1 hour. Always ensure the covers are properly sealed after exposure.
What does IP68 rating mean?
IP68 stands for Ingress Protection. The '6' indicates complete dust protection, and the '8' indicates protection against continuous immersion in water beyond 1 meter. For this device, it is tested for 1.5 meters for 1 hour.
Can I use the phone underwater?
The manual advises not to leave the phone underwater for more than 1 hour or deeper than 1.5 meters. Additionally, after contact with water, you should dry the phone thoroughly. Using it underwater for extended periods is not recommended.
How do I install SIM cards and battery?
First, switch off the phone. Unscrew the fastening screws and open the back cover. Insert the SIM cards into the slots as shown, and slide the memory card into its slot. Insert the battery with contacts facing the phone contacts, then gently slide it until it locks. Attach the back cover until it clicks and screw it firmly. Check the cover tightness.
What type of charger is needed?
Due to the robust design, you must use a special cable with an extended plug for charging. The package includes a suitable charger and USB cable. Connect the adapter to the charger, then to a wall outlet. Do not force the connection.
Is the display prone to cracking?
The display is made of tempered glass for higher resistance, but it can crack if dropped on a hard surface or sharp object. Cracks due to mechanical damage or improper misuse are not covered by warranty.
What is the warranty period?
The standard warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase, unless stated otherwise. The warranty card is included in the manual and must be filled by the dealer.
How do I switch the phone on/off?
Press and hold the ON button to switch on. To switch off, press and hold the ON button, select 'OFF' from the menu, and confirm by pressing OK. A short press of the ON button puts the phone into sleep mode.
What safety precautions should I follow?
Important precautions include: do not use while driving, avoid using at petrol stations, keep the phone at least 15 mm from your ear/body, avoid exposure to magnetic fields and extreme temperatures, and turn off in hospitals, airports, and near explosives. Do not dismantle the phone.
How should I clean and maintain the phone?
After contact with water or liquid, dry the phone thoroughly. Check that the openings for USB and headphones are closed properly and the battery cover is screwed firmly. Avoid using the phone in dusty or polluted environments. The phone contains a moisture detection label; if it turns red, warranty may be voided.
