How to charge the Neo Smartpen N2?

Connect the pen via the provided micro USB cable to a wall charger or computer. The LED turns red during charging and green when finished. Charging time is about 2 hours.

How to turn the pen on and off?

Press the power button or place the tip on paper to turn it on. To turn it off, hold the button for 2 seconds until the light flashes. It also shuts off automatically after 20 minutes of inactivity (adjustable in the app).

How to connect the Neo Smartpen N2 to my smartphone?

Enable Bluetooth on your phone, open the Neo Notes app, and follow the instructions to pair the pen. Once connected, the LED changes color.

Can I use the pen without the app?

Yes, you can write on Neo paper without the app. Notes will sync automatically on the next Bluetooth connection.

How to record voice while writing?

In the Neo Notes app, tap the Voice icon (microphone) to start synchronized voice recording with your writing. You can then replay your notes with the Replay function.

How to transcribe my handwritten notes into digital text?

In the app, select the note and tap the Transcribe icon. The transcribed text can be searched or exported in PDF, TXT, etc.

What to do if the LED flashes red?

A red flash indicates low battery. Recharge the pen promptly. If flashing persists after charging, check storage space or contact support.

Which papers are compatible with the Neo Smartpen N2?

Use only Neo notebooks designed for the smartpen. They have a specific dot pattern that the optical sensor recognizes. You can purchase them online or in stores.

How to change the ink cartridge?

Unscrew the front part of the pen, remove the old cartridge (type D1) and insert a new one. These cartridges are available at office supply stores.

Is the Neo Smartpen N2 under warranty?

Yes, the product is covered by the legal warranty. Keep the serial number (on the packaging) and proof of purchase. For any claims, contact the seller or NeoLAB Convergence.

(1) Charging the pen

• Make sure to charge the product after the purchase as it may have low battery.
- The LED lamp will turn red while the battery is being charged. Once charging is complete, it'll change back to green.(If the battery is being charged with PC, PC will recognize the pen as a removable disk an the LED light turns violet.)

(2) Power ON/OFF

• If you press the power button or put the pen tip on the paper, the pen will be activated with LED lights on within a second.(The Auto Power function is enabled when the pen is first connected to the App. You can change the setting in the App.)
• When the power is on, hold the power button for more than 2 seconds, and the power will turn off with flashing LED lights.
• If there is no action taken for more than 20 minutes, the power will be turned off automatically. (You can change the auto-power-off time in the setting. The longer auto-power-off time is set, the shorter pen usage time is available.)
• If you do not use this product for more than 10 seconds, it will automatically change to standby (low power consumption) mode to reduce battery power consumption.

(3) How to grip

The recognition rate is heavily affected by the direction of the optical sensor's angle. Sensor(oval shaped part adjacent to the pen tip) should face downwards. Deviating from the appropriate degree, or holding the pen in the wrong direction could cause difficulties with capturing your writing or drawing.

Hold the pen that does not cause pressure on the wrist and maintain a natural writing angle.

3. Registering Smartpen to mobile app

Enable the Bluetooth function of the smart device.

Run Neo Notes and tap the 'Pen Register Now' button below.

STEP 03.

Please follow the instructions as shown in the app.

STEP 04.

If the pen has been successfully registered, the Pen Registration screen appears in the App. Now, press 'Start Neo Notes' button and start writing on N notebooks.

4. Using without app connection

• Neo smartpen can be used when the mobile app is not running.
• The content that you write while the mobile app is off will be transferred later when the app and Neo smartpen are connected

5. How to use Neo Notes

- Use notebook "Lock" function if you want to use the same type of notebooks for multiple times.
